Despite the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) January edition culminating on Sunday, the pace of action on Spartan Poker did not dwindle much with the Monday signature event, the ReCharge ₹12 Lakhs GTD, pulling in a healthy number of 623 entries (280 unique, 111 re-entries and 232 re-buys). The event successfully met its advertised guarantee, collecting ₹12.46 Lakhs in the prize pool. Persisting with his trailblazing run on the virtual felts, Srihari ‘bangbang99’ Bang took down the event for a cool ₹2.41 Lakhs. Additionally, Bang also final tabled Adda52’s AOPS Knockout ₹2 Lakhs GTD (5th for ₹16,182) and scored in the AOPS Inception ₹12 Lakhs GTD (34th for ₹8,528).

A young and prolific MTT player, Bang has made a habit out of shipping events, and this is, in fact, the second consecutive week that he has won this tournament. Some of his other achievements this year include winning Adda52’s AOPS Whale ₹20 Lakhs GTD on February 7, and PokerStars India’s Sunday Special Progressive KO ₹15 Lakhs GTD on January 6.

The other high-value event on Spartan Poker was the Hi-Fi ₹5 Lakhs GTD that drew in 233 participants (128 unique, 41 re-entries, and 64 re-buys), registering a minor overlay of ₹34,000. Tournament regular Rajat ‘Garammasala’ Sharma championed the event after besting Siddhanth ‘sidstack’ Kripalani (runner-up for ₹77,250) heads-up and took home ₹1.15 Lakhs for his win.

PokerBaazi’s Monday extravaganza, The Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD, gathered a crowd of 426 runners (224 unique and 202 re-entries), generating a prize pool of ₹10.65 Lakhs. Alok ‘TheProfessional’ Birewar outlasted Ameya ‘Encashed’ Gokhale in the heads-up finale, adding ₹2.14 Lakhs to his bankroll. Gokhale locked in ₹1.50 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

Now with Spartan Poker’s IOPC done and dusted, the Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) has taken charge. Yesterday, the AOPS Inception ₹12 Lakhs GTD logged in 410 entries (216 unique and 194 re-entries) and posted a prize pool of ₹13.12 Lakhs. Anonymous user ‘sharptooth’ topped the field and collected a winner’s payout of ₹3.25 Lakhs.

Meanwhile, PokerStars India’s Monday Hustle ₹5 Lakhs GTD found a winner in ‘$00th$ayer’ who ran past a field of 171 entries (96 unique and 75 re-entries) and bagged the most significant piece of the ₹5.13 Lakhs prize pool worth ₹1.03 Lakhs.
