What a fantastic way to kick-start the weekend! Spartan Poker’s IOPC 10th edition led the way by crowning a champion in the first of its five live-streamed events, the ₹1 Crore GTD IOPC High Roller. The two-time Millionaire winner, Sriharsha Doddapaneni, defeated a star-studded field, including Young Gun Shardul Parthasarathi (runner-up for ₹17.44 Lakhs) and Sagar Choudhury (3rd for ₹10.50 Lakhs) to clinch his first flagship title of 2021 for a jaw-dropping ₹21.55 Lakhs!
Young Gun and India’s first solo WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer laid claim to his career-second APT title by shipping the APT Super High Roller for a whopping ₹20.73 Lakhs. Aditya Kulkarni may have missed out on the chance to win his first-ever APT trophy, but he still took home an impressive ₹14.51 Lakhs payday for his runner-up finish.
PokerGuru Ambassador Ashutosh Balodhi, Spartan Poker Team pro Nikita Luther, Bollywood actor Anita Hassanandani and Young Gun Siddharth Karia, were some other notables seen collecting significant paydays.

Spartan Poker
The first live-streamed event on the IOPC January edition schedule culminated last night. Kicking off at 6 PM, the ₹1 Crore GTD IOPC#52 High Roller saw the start-of-the-final-table chip leader, Sriharsha ‘Potato Player’ Doddapaneni, bulldoze his way to the top to bank a mouth-watering ₹21.55 Lakhs payday. This was Doddapaneni’s first title win of 2021, improving his online record to ₹2.71 Crores.
Young Gun Shardul ‘Faucet Failure’ Parthasarathi (runner-up for ₹17.44 Lakhs), Sagar ‘strangeplay’ Choudhury (3rd for ₹10.50 Lakhs), Spartan Poker Team Pro Nikita Luther (4th for ₹8.42 Lakhs), Anita ‘PokerFace14’ Hassanandani (5th for ₹6.90 Lakhs) and Pulkit ‘Championplayer’ Goyal (6th for ₹5.17 Lakhs) banked the other FT payouts.

Another of Spartan Poker’s Friday night attractions – The Elite (IOPC #60) – returned as part of the ongoing IOPC series. With a strong turnout of 618 entries, the 9.30 PM tourney was able to shoot past its posted ₹60 Lakhs guarantee to collect a generous ₹61.80 Lakhs prize pool. The dust settled at 5.10 AM with Harsh ‘harsh20’ Karanpuria walking away with the title and a personal-best ₹9.52 Lakhs payday. The player struck a four-way deal with Young Gun Siddharth ‘Ari Tribbiani’ Karia (runner-up for ₹6.87 Lakhs). ‘joey114114’ (3rd for ₹6.79 Lakhs), and ‘ephemeral’ (4th for ₹6.33 Lakhs).
Karanpuria’s last prominent score dates back to October 25, when he placed third in the Adda52 Millions for ₹3 Lakhs. He won his way into The Elite through a ₹660 satellite, and with a hefty win as this, Karanpuria sits with over ₹24.42 Lakhs in recorded MTT winnings across the top four domestic sites.
Over the past two weeks, PokerGuru Ambassadors have been grabbing all the big scores, and last night it was Parikshit ‘zapdos1311’ Dhall stealing the show yet again. Dhall had won the ₹35 Lakhs GTD IOPC #5 Ultron on January 14. Bagging his second IOPC title at the ongoing series, the Kolkata-based pro topped 1,359 entries in the ₹18 Lakhs GTD IOPC#59 TGIF to win ₹3.84 Lakhs. Mohd Masroor ‘OttomanRebels’ Ansari (runner-up for ₹2.32 Lakhs) and PokerGuru Ambassador`s Ratul ‘Atriohm’ Steves (3rd for ₹1.65 Lakhs) and Ashish ‘Donkey 07’ Munot (4th for ₹1.24 Lakhs) were the other top finishers.
The ₹10 Lakhs GTD IOPC#61 Destiny IOPC Edition logged in 558 entries, easily smashing its posted guarantee to collect a ₹11.16 Lakhs prize pool. The action began at 11 PM and continued till well past 6 AM today, eventually crowning a champion in PokerBaazi Team Pro Abhishek ‘nbc345’ Rathod. A seasoned and accomplished hand on the domestic circuit, Rathod, denied the top prize of ₹2.17 Lakhs to his heads-up rival Armaan ‘space ace’ Kochhar, who had to settle for a runner-up payday worth ₹1.38 Lakhs.
Rathod also placed fourth in the Adda52-hosted ₹22.50 Lakhs GTD The Ballers for ₹1.95 Lakhs – collecting over ₹4.12 Lakhs last night!
PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh Chadha, who posted a fifth-place score in The Ballers, ranked eighth in the Destiny IOPC Edition for ₹27,230, raking in ₹1.58 Lakhs in total earnings last night.
In the ₹6.25 Lakhs GTD IOPC#56, Kunal ‘kduggal13’ Duggal ran past a 433-strong field to win ₹1.13 Lakhs. Saurabh ‘Action_Dan’ Chitlangiya finished runner-up for ₹94,111. Like most other IOPC tourneys on the Friday schedule, the event could ride past the guarantee mark, generating ₹6.49 Lakhs in the prize pool. The ₹3.50 Lakhs IOPC #58 champion, Priyank ‘Piko’ Kothari, also FTed the event, placing fourth for ₹52,869.
The afternoon IOPC extravaganza yesterday, the ₹4.75 Lakhs GTD IOPC#55, featured a ₹660 buy-in and registered 706 participants that resulted in an overlay of ₹51,400. After almost seven hours of intense action, Anish ‘downswing4ever’ Arora came out on top to win ₹76,666, following a three-way deal with Tanmaya ‘RTD27’ Gupta (runner-up for ₹58,462) and Kishor ‘kishor o7o’ Utsav Siya (3rd for ₹55,724).

Benefitting the most from the massive overlay value was MTT pro Neeraj ‘SelfClaimedPro’ Kumar, who took away ₹2.94 Lakhs in cash prize. The former Millionaire Lite winner defeated another Millionaire Lite champion, Chirag ‘WhyworrY_56’ Sodha (runner-up for ₹1.23 Lakhs), heads-up. With this score, Kumar pushed his lifetime tally across ₹5.27 Crores while Sodha now boasts of ₹4.57 Crores in lifetime earnings!
The ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD Winter Series-40 Supersonic pulled in 127 participants to fall ₹23,000 short of breaking even and paid out the top 20 finishers. The 10:30 PM tourney got in the books at 1:34 AM, with PokerStars India regular ‘RAV1619’ championing the tourney for ₹28,538 following a heads-up chop with Harsh ‘harsh1327’ Bubna (runner-up for ₹28,538).

Adda52`s headline Friday tourney, the ₹22.5 Lakhs GTD The Ballers, attracted 356 entries, collecting ₹24.38 Lakhs in the prize pool. After a little over eight hours of play, Tanmay Sanjay ‘tsb2127’ Bhalerao emerged as the champion, padding his bankroll by ₹6.09 Lakhs. Rachit ‘baba_ramdev’ Soni came in second for ₹3.69 Lakhs. With this win, Bhalerao has crossed ₹1.29 Crores in recorded winnings on Adda52; however, he is still in the red for ₹7.81 Lakhs.
The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Running Hot did not fare as well as The Ballers. A starting field of 237 entries led to an overlay deficit of ₹26,000. The mystery user ‘Ritwik0210’ took down the event for ₹1.14 Lakhs, just as Vinod ‘Jamesoo7’ Bhasker finished runner-up for ₹85,290.

Friday saw four more champions crowned on Day 8 of the inaugural APT Online India series.
The magnum opus ₹2 Crores GTD APT Main Event completed his third starting flight last night. Day 1C saw the biggest day-wise turnout so far, attracting 436 entries to accumulate 1,155 entries (Day1A – 354, Day 1B – 365, and Day 1C – 436) across the three flights combined. After the stipulated 27 levels of play, Satyam ‘Pkiller28’ Prakash (265,000) bagged the end-of-day chip lead among 68 survivors. ‘LOVIS87’ (248,000) and Karan ‘collingwood’ Sitlani (213,000) carried forward the next top stacks of the day.
The biggest buy-in tourney on the APT Online schedule, the ₹80 Lakhs GTD APT#38 Super High Roller, had 161 entries ponying up the ₹55,000 entry buy-in to collect a guarantee-smashing ₹80.5 Lakhs in prize money. Besting the star-studded field was Young Gun and India’s solo WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav ‘griezmann’ Iyer, who claimed the lion’s share worth ₹20.73 Lakhs along with the APT Trophy. Aditya ‘adit11’ Kulkarni finished runner-up for ₹14.51 Lakhs while PokerGuru Ambassador Ashutosh ‘senojwod’ Balodhi netted ₹9.34 Lakhs for his third-place finish.
This is not the first time that Iyer has won an APT Trophy. In January 2019, he had won the APT Vietnam Main Event for $98,055 (~₹69.51 Lakhs). However, this was his first APT online title and his best domestic online score, boosting his recorded MTT tally to ₹4.37 Crores. He also posted a deep run in Adda52’s The Ballers, placing 7th for ₹73,158 (final table bubble).
PokerBaazi hosted two ₹5 Lakhs guaranteed events on Friday, and both easily surpassed their guarantees. The 6:30 PM tourney, the APT#37 Turbo, saw Siddharth ‘Siddonuts’ Pandey topping a field of 371 entries, including APT#15 Megastack champion Rubin ‘kornkid’ Labroo (runner-up for ₹81,810) heads-up to win ₹1.17 Lakhs. Pandey’s lifetime tally crossed ₹2.43 Crores after the win.
The second ₹5 Lakhs GTD event of the day, APT#40 PLO, saw the mystery user ‘BENCB789’ navigating his way through 421-entry- strong field to win a site-best ₹1.06 Lakhs.
The unknown PokerBaazi MTT crusher, ‘dilbaghsingh,’ championed the ₹2 Lakhs GTD APT#36 PLO for ₹59,540. They became the first player in the ongoing series to win three APT titles and feature among the top-three ranked players on the APT leaderboard. They had earlier won the ₹5 Lakhs GTD APT#11 Hyper 5-Max on January 17 for ₹1.06 Lakhs and the ₹5 Lakhs GTD APT#6 DST for ₹1.11 Lakhs. The mystery crusher now has ₹66.45 Lakhs in recorded winnings on the site (₹6.42 Lakhs in profits).

Young Gun Shardul ‘Faucet Failure’ Parthasarathi (2,377,386) and Spartan Poker Team Pro Nikita Luther (1,102,894) held the top three stacks on the final table.
The first of the five tournaments of the IOPC January edition to be live-streamed, the IOPC High Roller final table lasted for a little over an hour. The two shortest stacks, former SSS Millionaire champion Pulkit ‘Championplayer’ Goyal (6th for ₹5.35 Lakhs) and Bollywood actor Anita ‘Pokerface14’ Hassanandani (5th for ₹6.90 Lakhs), were the first two players to hit the rail.
Luther started the final table placed third in stacks but ended up taking fourth-place for ₹8.60 Lakhs.
Down to three-handed play, online beast Sagar ‘strangeplay’ Choudhury, ranked #2 on the January leaderboard last week, exited in third place for ₹10.50 Lakhs.
Doddapaneni and Parthasarathi battled it out for the top honors, and in the end, the former prevailed. Parthasarathi walked away with a runner-up payout of ₹17.44 Lakhs.
Parthasarathi has finished runner-up in several high-profile tourneys in the past year, with his career-best score of ₹26.49 Lakhs coming in PokerBaazi’s Game Changer 3.0.
Widely considered one of the best poker players in the domestic circuit, Doddapaneni has numerous accolades to his name. Besides shipping two Millionaire titles, he also won the WPT India ₹25K Big Bounty back in 2019. Last night, he bagged a colossal winner’s paycheque worth ₹21.55 Lakhs, boosting his MTT earnings to ₹2.71 Crores.
