After a firecracker Sunday, Monday as always was relatively dull. Still, the Monday flagships and two high-octane series kept the action going across the major platforms!

Spartan Poker

Monday’s on Spartan Poker is reserved for the site’s flagship ReCharge that came back with a ₹15 Lakhs GTD last night. The tourney had no trouble cracking the guarantee as a turnout of 790 entries (364 unique, 134 re-entries, and 292 re-buys) helped collect ₹15.8 Lakhs in prize money. The mysterious ‘FunkeyFox’, who has over ₹46 Lakhs in tournament winnings on Spartan Poker, added another ₹3.04 Lakhs to his tally after taking down the ReCharge. This is his second-best recorded score on the site after his Millionaire X5 win last month. One spot behind him, tournament regular Harsh ‘Anandilal Katpitiya’ Bubna won ₹1.92 Lakhs for finishing runner-up. PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ‘FreeFlow’ Veeravalli finished third for ₹1.37 Lakhs.

The Deep Freeze ₹5 Lakhs GTD couldn’t match up to the Recharge as a field of 77 players resulted in a ₹38,000 overlay. An anonymous player with the moniker ‘corona virus’ came out on top and won ₹1.02 Lakhs after making a three-way deal with ‘PsychoManiac’ (runner-up for ₹1.02 Lakhs) and deranzzdd’ (3rd for ₹93,829).

The other Monday major at Spartan Poker, the Destiny Junior ₹5 Lakhs GTD, drew 368 entries (184 unique, 55 re-entries and 129 rebuys). It was Utkarsh’ kidpokerNJ’ Vaish who sprinted to the top where he squared off with ‘Edge’ heads-up. The duo eventually shook hands on a deal that saw the latter snag the title and the top prize of ₹1.29 Lakhs. Vaish finished a close second for ₹1.07 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi

The site`s Monday flagship, the Bout ₹10 Lakhs GTD, mustered a 463-strong field (248 unique, and 215 re-entries), making for a guarantee-busting ₹11.58 Lakhs prize pool. Topping the list was one of the top winners of the year so far; Young Gun Arsh ‘Button_ Hai_Bro’ Grover who entered the heads-up finale with Aryan’ aryanstark’ Chaudhary. The clash ended with Grover pocketing ₹2.33 Lakhs as the first-place prize. Chaudhary had to settle for a ₹1.63 Lakhs payout after placing second.

Grover was in the winning grove last night as he FT’ed the AOPS Table For 6 as well. He took third place in the tourney for ₹67,200. Notably, he had won the SSS High Roller last week for ₹15.11 Lakhs and presently boasts of over ₹1.38 crore in MTT winnings this year alone.

Adda52

Headlining Adda52’s roster of Monday MTT’s was the AOPS Sinquerim₹12.5 Lakhs GTD. The tourney logged in a 547-strong field to collect ₹17.50 Lakhs in the prize pool. The heads-up play came down to ‘glitch_d’ and Utkarsh ‘sam20542’ Srivastava. In the end, the former prevailed to take home the single most massive score of the day worth ₹4.20 Lakhs. Srivastava collected ₹2.45 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

The AOPS Table For 6 ₹5 Lakhs GTD was the other big-ticket tourney that played out on Adda52 last night. The event drew 224 entries to accrue ₹5.60 Lakhs in the prize pool. Circuit regular Anirban’ ajgar5’ D Das emerged victorious and walked away with the winner’ prize of ₹1.54 Lakhs.

PokerStars India

The INSCOOP series has resulted in a noticeable uptick in action at PokerStars India. The biggest draw on Monday was the INSCOOP – Battle Royale that fell ₹1.15 Lakhs short of meeting its ₹18 Lakhs advertised guarantee. The other INSCOOP tourney – Battle Royale Mini ₹5 Lakhs GTD – smashed its guarantee. Both titles went to anonymous users, i.e., ‘angrybot777’ and ‘GABRUJAWAN’ respectively.

‘angrybot777’ had stiff competition from his heads-up opponent Kunal’ iAlways Haveit’ Patni, but it was the former who outlasted the 337-entry field to capture the title and the winner’s purse worth ₹3.98 Lakhs (₹1.68 Lakhs in prize money, and ₹1.30 Lakhs in bounties). Patni had to make do with a runner-up score of ₹1.49 Lakhs (₹1.19 Lakhs in prize money, and ₹30,390 in bounties).

Over at the INSCOOP – Battle Royale Mini, ‘GABRUJAWAN’ ran past a field of 228 entries to win ₹1.11 Lakhs after a heads-up deal with ‘tuffcookie777’ (runner-up for ₹65,694).
