Mondays are usually the slowest day of the week, with most regs choosing to take the day off after a taxing Sunday night grind. But with the 2021 IPL now going ahead full steam, the MTT turnouts saw a noticeable dip.

The day’s biggest-guaranteed tourney, Spartan Poker’s ₹9 Lakhs GTD ReCharge doled out the single-biggest paycheque to the former ATOC Mini Main Event champion Surbhit Grover, who banked ₹1.80 Lakhs for the win.

Saransh Garg (Won PokerBaazi’s The Big Show for ₹1.65 Lakhs), Pranav Agrawal (Won PokerStars India’s Battle Royale for ₹94,694), and Yash Jaiswal (Won Adda52’s Voyager for ₹75,776) took down the other Monday flagships!

The small to mid-stakes MTT players have Spartan Poker’s Ultimate Value Series (UVS) and Adda52’s Nano Poker Series (NPS) to keep them busy this week. Both the series commenced yesterday and will run through April 18.

Here are the Monday highlights!

Spartan Poker

Offering the most massive prize pool guarantee of the day, Spartan Poker’s ₹9 Lakhs GTD ReCharge ran from 8 PM to 3:21 AM. The ₹2,200 entry buy-in tourney registered 435 contenders, missing the break-even mark by ₹30,000. The ATOC Mini Main Event winner Surbhit ‘grovahova’ Grover bested online reg Pranav ‘pranavpoker’ Khandalkar (runner-up for ₹1.19 Lakhs) heads-up to clinch the title and the ₹1.80 Lakhs up-top. With ₹98.62 Lakhs in tracked online winnings, Grover is within touching distance of the ₹1 Crore-mark.
