The virtual temperatures soared yesterday, with Thursday bringing with it an action-packed day of tournament action, all thanks to PokerBaazi’s National Poker Series India 2023 and Spartan Poker’s India Turbo Masters!
The regs dominated the flagships, with Tanmay Benara and 2022 POY Anuj Yadav reeling in big wins for the second day straight.
Tanmay Benara couldn`t have asked for a better start at NPS India 2023. He won the NPS#4 Wednesday Volley the day before and emerged as the day`s top scorer again with a top finish in PokerBaazi`s NPS#10 Thursday Thunder for ₹7.99 Lakhs (₹8.25 Lakhs overall), becoming the first player to win two NPS gold medals in the ongoing series and taking over a significant lead on the NPS Series and Podium leaderboards. Ishaan Pandya scored a personal-best ₹4.90 Lakhs and his first NPS silver medal in NPS#10 Thursday Thunder.
Monday’s (7-Max) Midnight SPRINT winner Arjun Bharadwaj struck gold in PokerBaazi’s NPS#12 (6-Max) SPRINT, banking a career-best ₹3.05 Lakhs for the win. He chopped the title heads-up with the first-ever Game Changer winner Prashanth Sekar (2nd for ₹2.39 Lakhs), the latter picking up his maiden NPS medal.
Onas Malhotra (Won NPS#7 Megadive for ₹2.74 Lakhs), Akshay Kapoor (Won NPS #11 5-Max Hyper SPRINT for ₹2.27 Lakhs), JaiKiran Kumar (Won NPS#9 Slamdunk for ₹2.06 Lakhs), and Vaibhav Temani (Won NPS#8 PLO-5 for ₹1.87 Lakhs) won the other NPS gold medals on Thursday.
WSOP bracelet winner Kartik Ved clinched his maiden ITM title in Spartan Poker`s Thursday showstopper, ITM #36 Thursday Big, banking ₹6.65 Lakhs (won ₹7.72 Lakhs overall). He chopped the title three-way with his good friends Laksh Pal Singh (2nd for ₹5.60 Lakhs) (won ₹6.44 Lakhs overall) and Vishal Bajaj (3rd for ₹4.94 Lakhs) (won ₹5.46 Lakhs overall).
Young Gun Anuj Yadav kept his sails high by winning a flagship tournament for the third straight day. The Beast Mode Poker co-founder completed the trifecta of wins in Spartan Poker’s ITM #35 Thursday Supersonic banking ₹5.38 Lakhs (his 11th title of 2023), besting ‘p@tience7744′ (2nd for ₹3.58 Lakhs) heads-up.

The Day 2 results in PokerBaazi’s National Poker Series India 2023 stirred up the NPS leaderboard rankings.
