While the Coronavirus outbreak did make a dent in Holi celebrations all across the country, the virtual felts also saw the Tuesday marquee tourneys getting hit by the overlay brigade.

The Mega Stack ₹20 Lakhs GTD was the flagship tournament on Spartan Poker’s Tuesday schedule, and it pulled in 637 entries (273 unique, 97 re-entries and 267 re-buys), with the site having to fill in an overlay of ₹89,000. Sumit ‘sumithgh2050’ Ghosh championed the event for ₹2.44 Lakhs, after agreeing to a three-way deal with ‘Akkiaru2204’ (runner-up for ₹2.33 Lakhs) and ‘Amod’ (3rd for ₹2.05 Lakhs).

The other big-ticket event on Spartan Poker, The Race ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD, saw Rajat ‘BloatedBelly’ Mahajan run past a field of 444 participants (224 unique, 60 re-entries and 160 re-buys), including veteran pro Rajat ‘Garammasala’ Sharma (runner-up for ₹99,975) heads-up to claim the top honors, along with a ₹1.50 Lakhs paycheque. The event suffered an overlay of ₹84,000.

PokerBaazi’s Tuesday bonanza, The Endeavour ₹15 Lakhs GTD, attracted 428 entries (220 unique and 208 re-entries), resulting in a very marginal ₹2,000 shortfall. Tournament regular Anirudh ‘flash1’ Reddy took down the event for a ₹3.01 Lakhs payday, while Kanti ‘rathore14’ Rathore came in second for ₹2.11 Lakhs.

Adda52’s Hitman ₹12.50 Lakhs GTD attracted 385 hopefuls (191 unique and 194 re-entries), resulting in an overlay of ₹18,000. Vatsal ‘pivs’ Srivastava outlasted Gagandeep ‘gaganhyd’ Malik in the heads-up finale and took home ₹3.10 Lakhs in prize money. Malik collected ₹1.87 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.

Over at the PokerStars India, the UFC KO Series is presently ongoing, and the marquee event last night was the UFC KO Series-12 Sixth Sense 10 Lakhs GTD. The tourney logged in 319 entries (160 unique and 159 re-entries), resulting in an overlay of 43,000. ‘superjericho300’ topped the field and banked ₹1.91 Lakhs in first-place prize money.
