It was a busy Wednesday that saw the PokerGuru Ambassadors dominating the flagships with three title victories and two runner-up finishes. Here`s a quick recap of who won what across the major online platforms yesterday!

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker’s Wednesday night special, the Destiny, ran with a ₹30 Lakhs prize pool guarantee last night. The event recorded 672 entries, generating a prize pool worth ₹33.60 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ‘FreeFlow’ Veeravalli outmaneuvered a field of talented regs and eventually defeated ‘Ss_gilli’ (runner-up for ₹5.37 Lakhs) to win the title for ₹8.74 Lakhs. Veeravalli`s online resume boasts of over ₹1.75 Crores recorded winnings with the best score of ₹10.30 Lakhs, which he received for winning Adda52’s Godfather.

This also happens to be the biggest score on the site for Veeravalli, surpassing the previous best ₹6.63 Lakhs that he had won for coming second in this same event on Jan 23.

PokerGuru Ambassadors clearly dominated the flagships last night. The Mini version of the Destiny, the ₹5 Lakhs GTD UVS Destiny Jr saw another team member Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja topping the field of 397 entries (192 unique, 82 re-entries, and 123 re-buys) including ‘1-855-925-7070’ (runner-up for ₹98,258) heads-up to win his second title this week for ₹1.58 Lakhs. He had on Monday won the AOPS BigStack Turbo for ₹3.87 Lakhs.

The ₹4 Lakhs GTD Mega Freeze failed to replicate the success of the Destiny, and the Destiny Jr as a turnout of 131 entries resulted in a marginal overlay worth ₹7,000. In the end, Rajat ‘BloatedBelly’ Mahajan came out on top to win ₹1.01 Lakhs and his third tourney title this month. Mahajan’s heads-up opponent Akash ‘Akash0510’ Gupta also pocketed a sizable paycheque of ₹68,000. One of the stars on Wednesday, Sagar Patnaik, finished third for ₹44,200 – one of three FT scores he posted yesterday.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Pride logged in 379 entries that helped collect ₹11.37 Lakhs in the prize pool. Walking away with the lion`s share of the prize money worth ₹2.39 Lakhs was PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan, who defeated Gagandeep ‘gaganhyd’ Malik (2nd for ₹1.67 Lakhs) heads-up to become the third PokerGuru Ambassador to win a title yesterday. Wadhawan, with this win, boosted his earnings for the year to ₹1.07 Crores and is currently ranked 22nd on the 2020 leaderboard..

Malik deserves special mention for he FT-ed two other marquee tourneys on Wednesday. He finished 3rd in Spartan Poker`s Destiny for ₹3.02 Lakhs & took 7th place in the AOPS Monster Stack for ₹64,527, making him the second biggest winner of the day.

Adda52

The featured AOPS tourney on Wednesday was the ₹20 Lakhs GTD AOPS Wheel. The guarantee was smashed on the back of 970 entries that helped collect ₹24.25 Lakhs in the prize pool. Sagar ‘alwaysnutz’ Choudhury took down the title (the second day that he won a flagship) for a ₹5.90 Lakhs payday after denying PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja (runner-up for ₹3.22 lakhs) a second title for the day. Choudhury FTed two marquee tourneys last night, adding over ₹6 Lakhs to his tally. His other FT finish fetched him ₹28,780 for 7th place in PokerStars India’s Night on Stars. The other big-ticket tourney on Adda52 was the ₹15 Lakhs GTD AOPS Monster Stack. The event drew 314 entries to garner a massive ₹21.50 Lakhs prize pool. In the end, Sagar ‘passivity’ Patnaik defeated ‘eshankapoor’ (runner-up for ₹3.26 Lakhs) heads-up to win ₹5.37 Lakhs. Patnaik was at his multi-tabling best last night with three FT finishes across diff platforms. His other two FT scores include a 5th place finish in PokerStars India’s Night on Stars for ₹53,566 and a 3rd place finish in Spartan Poker’s Mega Freeze for ₹44,200.

The ₹5 Lakhs GTD AOPS Brunch was the outlier as a field of 430 entries resulted in a ₹16,250 shortfall. ‘echayan’ was the last player standing in the tourney after defeating Rakshit ‘ved234’ Vedh (runner-up for ₹75,000) in the heads-up play and won ₹1.24 Lakhs.

PokerStars India

The event clocked in 340 entries (190 unique and 150 re-entries) to leave an overlay of ₹1.50 Lakhs for the site to fill. PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Haxton Jr’ Raj (runner-up for ₹1.36 Lakhs) was in the running to win a fourth flagship title for the team, but conceded the title to ‘#ziddihunmain,’ who won ₹1.86 Lakhs.
