A jam-packed Friday saw a host of big-ticket tourneys awarding wads of cash, and it was the regs who laughed all the way to the bank. It turned out to be another smashing day for the PokerGuru Ambassadors, who banked several top scores headlined by top finishes from Naresh Veeravalli and Laksh Pal Singh.

Spartan Poker
It`s finally back! The ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire made a grand return on Spartan Poker, registering 461 runners on Day 1A. Only about 10% of the starting field advanced to Day 2, and leading the 47 survivors was ‘D.Carwin1’ (346,464) with ‘nutskibhookh’ (309,099), and Ankit ‘helter_skelter’ Kapoor (227,492) advancing with the next top stacks.
Running alongside The Millionaire was the Friday night extravaganza, The Elite. The ₹11,000 buy-in saw 365 sign-ups that generated a guarantee-smashing ₹36.50 Lakhs prize pool. Starting at 9:30 PM, the tourney went on till well into the wee hours on Saturday, ending a little before 5 AM. PokerGuru Ambassador Naresh ‘FreeFlow’ Veeravalli was the last player standing and banked the single-largest score of the day worth ₹6.78 Lakhs after a heads-up deal with ‘AdrenALLINeRush’ (runner-up for ₹6.14 Lakhs). The cash game specialist has been on a trailblazing run in 2020 and is just shy of accumulating ₹1.50 Crores in online MTT earnings this year!
The ₹12 Lakhs GTD TGIF was the other marquee tourney on the schedule. It brought in 777 entrants who ponied up the ₹1,650 buy-in to leave an overlay of ₹34,500, and the top 71 places got paid. Sanket ‘BANK$Y’ Arora came out on top to win ₹1.90 Lakhs following a heads-up deal with ‘Zedd’ (runner-up for ₹1.87 Lakhs).
Another tourney on the Friday schedule, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Velocity ran Day 1D. A turnout of 213 entries expanded the field size to 686 entries, and only 22 players survived the flight with Pankaj ‘Uknapdmj’ Sharma (247,242) bagging the end-of-day chip lead.
PokerBaazi
The undisputed #1 ranked online MTT player of the year, Gaurav ‘gaug17’ Sood added another title to his already impressive resume after winning the ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Ridge for ₹2.20 Lakhs. The event suffered an overlay of ₹1.27 Lakhs on the back of 291 entrants, and the top 36 places boarded the money bus.
Flight 5 of the ₹2 Lakhs GTD PBBS#24 Main Event clocked in 144 entries, and only 14 players advanced to Day 2 (Sunday). Ajoy ‘ajoy94’ Bala (422,000), ‘specialops’ (308,000) and ‘newbigdaddy’ (229,000) bagged the top stacks.
Adda52
The ₹1 Crore GTD Full House played host to its second starting flight on Friday, logging in 242 entries. Only 25 players made the cut for Day 2 with the mysterious online reg ‘Pokraj’ (333,293) bagging the most massive stack. Close on the heels was high stakes cash game pro Shashank ‘felter’ Jain (293,108).
The day’s featured tourney was the ₹25 Lakhs GTD The Ballers that logged in 331 entrants, with the site filling in a deficit of ₹2.32 Lakhs. After almost seven and a half hours of play, ‘whodahellru’ took down the tourney and collected ₹5.18 Lakhs in cash prize after a heads-up deal with PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘BoomTilt23’ Pal Singh (runner-up for ₹4.85 Lakhs).
PokerStars India
The signature Friday tourney on PokerStars India, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Uppercut [6-Max] MAGIC Edition, attracted 266 entrants who ponied up the ₹4,400 buy-in to frame a prize pool worth ₹10.64 Lakhs. The top 47 entrants got paid, and it took more than seven hours of uninterrupted play to find a champion. And walking away with the top honors was none other than Harsh ‘kakori kabab’ Dembla, who took home ₹1.99 Lakhs after beating ‘flipper595’ (runner-up for ₹1.33 Lakhs) in the heads-up confrontation. With this blistering win, Dembla has breached the ₹1.33 Crore-mark in online earnings!
The ₹5 Lakhs GTD Friday Euphoria gathered 144 entrants who bought-in for ₹2,750 to leave a significant overlay of ₹1.40 Lakhs. The top 24 places finished ITM. After almost six hours of grueling action, top MTT pro Vaibhav ‘GTO_LIFE_GG’ Sharma championed the tourney to win 98,956.

The final Millionaire tourney of August kicked off last night. Unlike the other Millionaire events that have played out throughout the month, this ₹5,500 buy-in tournament is a standalone one. Promising a ₹1 Crore guarantee, the tourney registered 461 entries on Day 1A.
Day 1A lasted almost five hours, and by the end of the day`s play, only 47 survivors remained in the fray. Anonymous user ‘D. Carwin1’ bagged the biggest stack of 346,464, with ‘nutskibhookh’ claiming the second-biggest stack of 309,099. Ankit ‘helter_skelter’ Kapoor (227,492) rounded out the top three stacks of Day 1A.
Ayush ‘HighHopes’ Garg (219,172) and Nitish ‘buttonclicking’ Gupta (164,277) were the other two notables with the top 10 stacks of the day.

Adda52’s ₹1 Crore GTD Full House had Day 1B playing out yesterday. 242 runners came in and added to the 217 entries from Day 1A, the field has now grown 459-strong.
After more than four hours of play, only 25 remained in contention. Mystery player ‘Pokraj (333,293) topped the stacks, with Shashank ‘felter’ Jain (292,108) and ‘shanky92’ (284,646) rounding out the top three stacks from the flight.

Ankur ‘Crimemastergogo’ Sehgal (4th for ₹2.97 Lakhs) and Vishal ‘Juwadi’ Gajaria (6th for ₹1.78 lakhs) banked FT scores.

PokerBaazi`s ₹10 Lakhs GTD The Ridge kicked off at 8 PM, drawing in 291 players. This translated into an overlay of ₹1.27 Lakhs. With 36 players making ITM finishes, it was Young Gun Gaurav Sood who eventually clinched the title for ₹2.21 Lakhs.
Sood, who has been the #1 ranked player in the country for the last four months, had on Monday championed Adda52`s Monster Stack for ₹2.70 Lakhs. Yesterday, he sailed past the likes of PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan (3rd for ₹99,700), Anirban D ‘pottysingh’ Das (4th for ₹73,800), Anuj ‘MrGreen1610’ Laddhad (6th for ₹44,300), Vinay ‘Vinstill’ BK (7th for ₹36,800) and Manish ‘thekid’ Lakhotia (8th for ₹29,500) to eventually beat ‘AK10JQ’ (2nd for ₹1.55 Lakhs) in the heads-up to win the title.
Sood’s tally of online scores in 2020 across the major domestic sites has reached an astounding ₹3.07 Crores.

After four hours of play, only 22 players managed to bag Day 2 stacks. Leading the pack was Pankaj ‘Uknapdmj’ Sharma (247,242), with ‘slr111’ (163,820) and Ankit ‘helter_skelter’ Kapoor (141,403) a distant second and third in chips.
Day 1B chip leader Prashant ‘Namefeme’ Kumar continues to sit with the overall chip lead holding a stack of 261,587 among 70 survivors (Day 1A – 17, Day 1B – 16, Day 1C – 15, and Day 1D – 22) from the four starting flights combined.
Kiran’ KingAA’ Kumar (122,474) and Rishabh’ radda’ Gupta (94,300) were the other top stacks of the day.
