Like Monday, the Tuesday online poker scene was dominated by the PokerBaazi-hosted National Poker Series India 2023. The IndiaPlays Bounty Championship, on the other hand, provided an accessible opportunity for micro and low-stakes players to participate in affordable bounty tournaments.
The online turnouts will likely take a significant hit this entire week as the WPT Prime India commences its fourth edition at the floating Casino Deltin Royale today. The international tour returns to India after an almost four-year gap, and the excitement among the tournament crowd is palpable, with most of the regs already in Goa to win one of the 13 WPT trophies up for grabs.
Speaking of the Tuesday chartbusters, Vikram Mishra had the best run yesterday. He won both a gold and silver medal for the second time in just five days, netting ₹7.07 Lakhs overall. And getting him the NPS medals were his top finishes in PokerBaazi’s NPS#74 (PLO-5) HighRoller (1st for ₹6.28 Lakhs) and NPS#72 (4-Max) Hyper SPRINT (2nd for ₹76,786), pushing him to #2 on the NPS Podium and #16 on the NPS Series leaderboard.
Last week’s NPS#46 Mega Rally runner-up finisher Abilash Bala (2nd for ₹4.17 Lakhs) and Sunday’s NPS#63 (PLO-6) SPRINT runner-up finisher Dinesh Singh (3rd for ₹3.24 Lakhs) picked up their second NPS medals on the NPS#74 (PLO-5) HighRoller podium.
Young Gun Sanat Mehrotra was another Tuesday trailblazer. He won two flagship tournaments, bagging away over ₹6.59 Lakhs. The IIT-IIM alumni took down Adda52’s The Mint (₹3.47 Lakhs) and Spartan Poker’s Mega Stack (₹3.07 Lakhs) just 15 minutes apart. The #2 player of the year Young Gun Gaurav Sood, covered some distance on the POY race frontrunner Ashish Munot by locking in ₹2.64 Lakhs from two deep runs. He notably shipped PokerStars India’s Bounty Builder HR for ₹2.39 Lakhs (₹1.13 Lakhs in bounties). Haider Madraswala pocketed ₹1.68 Lakhs (₹41,234 in bounties) in second place.

The defending NPS Main Event champion Chirag ‘miyagi Sodha (12,510 points), continues to trail Munjal at #2 on the NPS Series leaderboard.
