The buzz to an action-packed weekend has begun with Spartan Poker’s Millionaire kicking off later today. Thursday witnessed several popular marquees like the Ultron, Godfather, and The Summit return for their weekly runs. Here is the complete recap.
Spartan Poker
Spartan Poker’s Thursday flagship Ultron drew 499 entries – falling just one entry short of meeting its ₹20 Lakhs prize pool guarantee. An unknown player ‘Phantom0208’ took down the tourney to win ₹3.90 Lakhs after defeating their heads-up opponent ‘Frank Lampard’ (runner-up for ₹2.48 Lakhs). With this blistering win, they have grown their cache of earnings on Spartan Poker to ₹9.39 Lakhs. The reg-infested FT saw the likes of Ishaan ‘potripper16’ Bhatia (3rd for ₹1.86 Lakhs), the Destiny champion Manish ‘thekid’ Lakhotia (7th for ₹66,400), Uttam ‘chinunew’ Kumar Sinha (8th for ₹48,800), and IOPC Main Event champion Harshit ‘HeroCaller’ Sanghi (9th for ₹40,000) making top finishes.
Day 1C of the ₹10 Lakhs GTD Velocity logged in 153 entries, and only 15 players made it across. ‘asg123’ closed out the flight with the biggest stack, of 134,900 in their bag, with ‘fuddu’ (133,915) and ‘Mr.joker’ (123,601) summing up the other top stacks. Added to the 320 entries from the previous two flights, the tourney has already logged in 473 entries. With two more flights scheduled to play out, the tournament is headed towards an intense finale on Sunday!
Over at the ₹2,200 buy-in Monster Stack ₹7.5 Lakhs, ‘Richie4ich’ championed the 388-player field to win ₹1.56 Lakhs.
PokerBaazi
Thursday’s on PokerBaazi is reserved for The Summit. Last week, the tourney had experienced a glaring overlay of ₹1.55 Lakhs, but with a turnout of 283 entries last night, it generated a profitable ₹21.23 Lakhs prize pool! The fight for the title came down to a heads-up between Yohan ‘AllinMaestro’ Patel and Bhanu ‘Chennaino1’ Prakash KC (2nd for ₹3.29 Lakhs). Patel eventually defeated Prakash to win the title and ₹4.69 Lakhs, improving his online scorecard to ₹1.54 Crores.
Patel’s last major score had come in the ₹60 Lakhs GTD PPL #44 Highroller 6-Max on August 13, where he finished fourth for ₹4.73 Lakhs.
PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Nygma’ Raj (3rd for ₹2.12 Lakhs) fell whiskers short of winning The Summit. Wednesday’s champions Young Gun Gaurav ‘gaug17’ Sood (4th for ₹1.57 Lakhs) and Kunal ‘VasooliChacha’ Patni (5th for ₹1.18 Lakhs), as well as Sandy ‘Ziigmund’ Lamba (6th for ₹94,030), PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘d00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan (8th for ₹62,610) and Alok ‘TheProfessional’ Birewar (9th for ₹46,910), posted FT scores.

Adda52`s Godfather, with its ₹30 Lakhs prize pool guarantee, turned out to be the day`s biggest draw. It logged in 574 entries, falling 20 entries of its last week`s turnout and experienced a ₹1.30 Lakhs overlay. Vikranth’ borntrouble’ Varma, best known for finishing runner-up in flagships like the Millionaire Legends, Full House Finale, and more recently, the PPL MoneyMaker, banked ₹7.05 Lakhs for the victory. His heads-up opponent was the 2020 India Poker Champion, Rubin Labroo, who collected ₹4.11 Lakhs for his runner-up finish.
