PokerBaazi’s National Poker Series India 2025 is still raging strong. The ₹100 Crore GTD colossus continued its relentless march on Wednesday, unfurling another seven NPS titles, dangling a combined ₹2.80 Crore guarantee. The players, a vibrant mix of seasoned sharks and hungry newcomers, responded with a tidal wave of 10,166 entries flooding the PokerBaazi tables, catapulting the day’s prize pool to a mammoth ₹3.41 Crores. After just four days, the fifth edition of the NPS had already clocked in 43,433 entries and distributed a staggering ₹13.60 Crores, leaving its ₹11.75 Crore guarantee far in the rearview mirror.

The day’s crown jewel, the ₹1 Crore GTD NPS#26 (7-Max) Championship, was where the real fireworks went off. The third of 21 eight-figure guaranteed tournaments, it became a stage for epic clashes, where legends were made, and new stars were born.

Vishal Bansal, a 32-year-old data analyst from Punjab, now calling Gurgaon home, delivered a performance that made him the day`s undisputed champion. Primarily a cash game player, Bansal occasionally dabbles in tournaments. But last night, he stepped into the tournament arena and orchestrated a stunning victory in PokerBaazi`s NPS#26 (7-Max) Championship. This wasn’t just a win; it was a thunderclap, his first-ever PokerBaazi title, a life-altering ₹13.68 Lakhs windfall, and the gleaming NPS Gold Medal. That prize money didn’t just cover his previous losses; it obliterated them. And get this: it was the largest single score of the series so far, sending him soaring to #2 on the Haryana State Leaderboard.

Anant Purohit, the unstoppable poker veteran who finished runner-up in the 2024 POY race, is already setting the stage for another standout year. A four-time NPS Gold Medallist, Purohit snagged the Silver Medal in the Championship, his third silver and seventh NPS medal, along with a whopping ₹9.44 Lakhs!

Young Gun Shardul Parthasarathi, the Mumbai-based poker powerhouse, kept his hot streak going. After back-to-back fourth-place finishes in the NPS#4 (PLO-5) Knockout and the NPS#16 Megadive, he grabbed the Bronze Medal in the Championship, taking home ₹7.19 Lakhs, his first NPS medal. But Parthasarathi wasn’t done; he went on a tear, cashing in every NPS tournament of the day, racking up over ₹7.65 Lakhs from nine deep runs. This awesome run sent him to #6 on the NPS Series Leaderboard and #9 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard.

Ashish Ahuja, a familiar face from PokerBaazi’s ‘The Circuit,’ made a strong return. He ripped through the fast-paced action in PokerBaazi’s NPS#8 (4-Max) Hyper, winning a Gold Medal for Chandigarh, his second NPS medal, and ₹4.22 Lakhs. Ahuja also made his mark in four other events, pulling in nearly ₹4.49 Lakhs, placing him at the top of the Chandigarh State Leaderboard and #15 on the overall NPS Series Leaderboard.

Vinay B, the 2024 POY #20, nearly got his first NPS Gold in the NPS#22 (4-Max) Hyper, finishing runner-up for ₹2.96 Lakhs, his third Silver. The highlight of his day was a final table finish in the Championship, earning ₹3.86 Lakhs in fifth place. With a total mid-week haul of over ₹7.12 Lakhs with two more deep runs, Vinay crossed the jaw-dropping ₹12 Crore mark in tracked online winnings and sits at #2 on the Karnataka State Leaderboard.

Avneesh Munjal, the WPT India Online Player of the Series and a seasoned NPS competitor, added a seventh NPS medal to his impressive collection, picking up his career-third NPS Bronze in the (4-Max) Hyper for 2.26 Lakhs. Munjal kept rolling, cashing in five other events, bringing his total to over ₹2.81 Lakhs.

JaiKiran Kumar bagged his second career NPS Gold Medal in PokerBaazi’s NPS#28 (7-Max) SPRINT, winning a top prize of ₹6.76 Lakhs. This win was his highest NPS score and second-largest PokerBaazi payout, sending him to the top of the Karnataka State Leaderboard and into the NPC Leaderboard’s top ten. Nishant Singh Tomar also made waves, taking his first NPS medal, Silver, and a career-best ₹4.75 Lakhs. WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer made a strong push for a second career Gold but ended up with Bronze, along with ₹3.62 Lakhs and total winnings just shy of 3.80 Lakhs.

Arjunn Agrawal clinched his first-ever NPS Gold Medal by winning PokerBaazi’s NPS#23 Knockout for ₹3.61 Lakhs and breaking a victory drought that extended over two years. An additional score brought his total to ₹3.68 Lakhs. Shravan Chhabria, a seasoned competitor known for his consistency, aimed for his third NPS medal and finished with a Silver in this event, pocketing ₹2.49 Lakhs. Deep runs in three other NPS events boosted his earnings for the night to ₹2.92 Lakhs. Amit Tejura, another seasoned grinder and former NPS Gold Medallist, earned the Bronze and ₹1.93 Lakhs in the Knockout. With an additional min-cash, his total take-home reached ₹1.98 Lakhs.

The other Gold Medallists on Day 4 were Arunav Mittal (Won NPS#25 PLO-4 for 3.16 Lakhs), Mohit Bohra (Won NPS#27 Slamdunk for 2.45 Lakhs), and Jeetu Surana (Won NPS#24 Run-Up for ₹2.12 Lakhs).

The race for the National Poker Champion (India) Leaderboard is intensifying. PokerBaazi Team Pro Zarvan Tumboli (Maharashtra) is still the frontrunner with 20 points (1 Gold and 2 Silver). Close on his heels is Mohit Bohra (Gujarat), who has jumped to #2 with 15 points (1 Gold and 1 Silver), thanks to his NPS#27 Slamdunk victory last night. Though primarily a cash game player, Bansal occasionally dabbles in tournaments. And last night, he proved his tournament mettle in spectacular fashion.

The NPS India 2025 is producing one poker spectacle after another, and last night was no exception! A staggering 2,331 hopefuls (1,159 unique), a mix of seasoned sharks and wide-eyed dreamers, threw down in the 30 Lakhs GTD NPS#27 Slamdunk. Everyone wanted that Gold and to etch their name in the history books, but only one could walk away with the prize! And that champion was Mohit ‘Bullets777’ Bohra (opted out of our tracking).

Mohit Bohra
Mohit Bohra

A player on a mission in 2025, Bohra had already tasted title glory twice last month. His pursuit of a third victory this year nearly bore fruit on Day 1 of the series when he came painfully close to his first NPS Gold Medal in the NPS#6 Marathon—only to settle for Silver.

But last night, he flipped the script. He came back, eyes blazing, and stormed through a nine-hour gauntlet with two entries, and all that effort paid off. The 8:30 PM NPS#27 Slamdunk was his playground, and he owned it. A three-way deal sealed his win, his first NPS Gold, his third title of 2025, and 2.45 Lakhs tucked into his pockets. He’s now the second player to snag multiple medals at this NPS, joining the ranks of PokerBaazi Team Pro Zarvan Tumboli, who achieved a three-medal streak in the first three days.

Bohra wasn’t content with just one victory. He dipped into four more NPS events, and when the dust settled, he’d pulled in over 2.83 Lakhs. This phenomenal streak has rocketed him to #9 on the overall NPS Series Leaderboard (from 15 cashes!), #1 on the Gujarat State Leaderboard, and #2 on the NPC Leaderboard.

Close on Bohra’s heels was Rubin ‘Kornkid’ Labroo, the Delhi-based pro, who came real close to the Gold. A veteran, a name everyone knows, he’d already shown them what he could do by finishing third in PokerBaazi’s ‘The Circuit’ Season 2! He brought that same intensity to the Slamdunk. Three entries later, Labroo was on a mission, determined not to leave empty-handed. He fought, bluffed, pushed, and found himself heads-up. But when the cards fell, it was Silver he held. Still, he walked away with 3.23 Lakhs, the biggest cut of the three-way deal, and his third NPS medal.
