Thursday featured a firecracker lineup of tournaments running across the prominent poker sites, with PokerBaazi’s National Poker Series India 2023 again headlining the day’s proceedings.

The first-ever IndiaPlays Bounty Championship has been hosting a delectable set of bounty tournaments for the upcoming players since April 7, and it’s time for the main course today. The series showstopper, ₹5 Lakhs GTD Texas Bounty Main Event, starts at 9 PM tonight!

Taking many regs away from the online grind was the flurry of action unfolding onboard Casino Deltin Royale in Goa, where two champions were crowned in the ongoing WPT Prime India on Thursday. Birthday boy Mithun Mahesh clinched his first live title in the series-opening ₹15K Superstack (₹10.89 Lakhs), while Adithya NG bagged his maiden live title in the ₹50K Freezeout (₹15.84 Lakhs).

Coming to the online recap, three-time The Millionaire champion Vishal Tulsyan was Thursday`s breakout winner. Picking up his second title on consecutive days, Wednesday’s Monster Stack winner, Tulsyan, clinched the long overdue NPS gold medal in PokerBaazi’s NPS#86 Deepstack Championship for ₹7.65 Lakhs (won ₹7.75 Lakhs overall).

The NPS#9 Slamdunk runner-up finisher Gaurav Bhutra grabbed his second silver medal and ₹4.69 Lakhs (won ₹5.11 Lakhs overall) as the NPS#86 runner-up. Making his first NPS podium finish, Dev Mittal bagged the bronze medal and a site-best ₹3.80 Lakhs in third place.

After a runner-up finish in NPS#18 (5-Max) Hyper SPRINT last week, Anirban D Das won his first NPS gold medal of the series (his second overall) in PokerBaazi’s NPS#87 SPRINT and ₹2.15 Lakhs in first-place prize money (won ₹2.43 Lakhs overall). The users ‘ChiruG’ (2nd for ₹1.29 Lakhs) and ‘iamsid2904’ (3rd for ₹1.01 Lakhs) won the silver and bronze medals on the podium.

Vikranth Varma (Won NPS#83 Slamdunk for ₹1.85 Lakhs), Samay Singh Modi (Won NPS#88 PLO-5 for₹1.51 Lakhs), poker streamer Thiyam Dannish (Won NPS#84 Marathon for ₹89,660), and M Jimmy (Won NPS#85 Deepdive for ₹75,811) won the other NPS gold medals on Thursday.

Apoorv Rajore scored an insane ROI on his satellite investments. He entered Spartan Poker’s Ultron through a ₹660 satellite and took it down for ₹3.73 Lakhs (his second-best online score) (won ₹4.07 Lakhs overall). Sunday’s ITM #110 Triple Chance Turbo winner Satyam Verma came second for ₹2.52 Lakhs.

Online crusher Saurabh Rohila championed PokerStars India’s The Colosseum [6-Max] for ₹2.44 Lakhs (won ₹2.93 Lakhs overall). The winningest player on our tracked database, Young Gun Gaurav Sood, fell one place short of winning the Thursday flagship for the third time in five months, boosting his bankroll by ₹1.86 Lakhs.

NPS India 2023 Leaderboard Standings After Day 15

Monday’s NPS#69 Deepdive winner Avneesh ‘iamam’ Munjal (15,245 points) enters his fifth day as the top-ranked player on the ₹50 Lakhs GTD NPS Series leaderboard. Munjal has cashed 69 of the 88 NPS tournaments, won a gold and silver medal each in the series, and posted three other final table scores. He crossed the money line in five NPS tournaments yesterday, pulling further away from the others.

The NPS 2.0 Main Event champion Chirag ‘miyagi Sodha (13,704 points) has been in grind mode this series. With an incredible 77 scores, Sodha has been hard at work but needs a few deeper runs in massive fields to close the 1,541 points deficit on Munjal.
