Daily Majors: Vishal Tulsyan Defends Summer Series Main Event Title on PokerStars India, Banks a Site-Best ₹15 Lakhs!

Monday brought a crackling start to the week, with PokerStars India’s Summer Series crowning its Main Event champion. Meanwhile, Spartan Poker`s IOPC and PokerBaazi`s 1100 THC entered their final week.

The first-ever Summer Series Main Event champion Vishal Tulsyan did it again! Going back-to-back in style, Tulsyan defended his title, winning PokerStars India’s Summer Series – 82 Main Event for a site-best ₹15 Lakhs! PokerGuru Ambassador Ratul Steves collected an impressive ₹9.88 Lakhs in second place. Tulsyan cashed in at least two more events, earning ₹15.11 Lakhs!

PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj, who holds the distinction of winning marquees events like the WPT India High Roller and The Millionaire, added another flagship to his name as he won the IOPC Monday showstopper – IOPC #85 – Monday Prime – for ₹5.98 Lakhs (his fifth IOPC title)

Tanmay Benara was another player adding a fifth IOPC title yesterday! Last week`s IOPC #71 – Saturday Prime champion, Benara, made the victory march in Spartan Poker`s IOPC # 86 – Monday Spotlight to collect ₹3.35 Lakhs and his second IOPC title in three days. Sunday`s IOPC #80 winner Jaya Bharathkumar Prajapati settled for a runner-up finish worth ₹2.11 Lakhs.

Amarjeet Singh made a breakout start to the week, winning two IOPC titles – IOPC #81 and IOPC #81, netting ₹1.46 Lakhs.

Surbhit Grover (Won IOPC #82 7 Lakhs GTD for 1.34 Lakhs), Pradip Ghosh (Won IOPC #84 – PKO 6.50 Lakhs GTD for 1.24 Lakhs), and ‘sunrunner’ (Won IOPC #87 – All-Rounder ₹11 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.62 Lakhs) won the other IOPC titles on Monday.

Following through on his smashing Sunday run, Vishal Ojha captured the THC#68 Superstack on PokerBaazi for ₹2.29 Lakhs. He pocketed ₹2.90 Lakhs across his Monday run and made Day 2 in IOPC – The Crown.

Ankit Saurabh (Won THC#69 ₹8 Lakhs GTD Monsterstack for ₹1.35 Lakhs), ‘overthinker’ (Won THC#70 Megastack ₹7 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.01 Lakhs), Abhishek Sonu (Won THC#67 (6-Max) Turbo ₹6 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.07 Lakhs) and Subhajit ‘redstriker’ Das (Won THC#66 KO ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹90,310) won the other THC titles on Monday.

Sandeep Varma RS came out on top in Adda52’s Iron Man and won the Monday title for ₹2.09 Lakhs after beating Saurabh Rohila (2nd for ₹1.26 Lakhs) to the finish line.

Manju Devi won the Monday Madness on MPL Poker for ₹1.76 Lakhs, with Ranjit Kumar placing runner-up for ₹1.12 Lakhs.

And if that was not enough, he`s already got one stack for Day 2 of IOPC – The Crown, and he qualified through the first starting flight yesterday.
