Though Mondays are usually lackluster in terms of action. However, with the India Online Poker Championship 14.0 on the home stretch, there was a slight uptick in action on the virtual felts.
The former ITM #18 – Blizzard runner-up finisher, Vishnu Khandelwal, emerged as Monday’s single-biggest scorer. Khandelwal took down Spartan Poker’s Monday’s headliner, the IOPC #91 Monday Prime, for ₹7.04 Lakhs (won ₹7.09 Lakhs overall). The seventh Game Changer winner Anant Purohit collected a ₹4.44 Lakhs paycheque in second place (won ₹4.52 Lakhs overall).
The other big Monday scorer was Neeraj Kumar, who won his first IOPC silver badge at the ongoing IOPC 14.0 in the IOPC #92 Monday Spotlight, claiming the ₹3.41 Lakhs up top (won ₹3.63 Lakhs) overall. Amit Gaikwad collected ₹2.15 Lakhs in second place.
Last Monday’s IOPC #40 All Rounder Monster Stack and IOPC #35 champion Mohit Mehta shipped Spartan Poker’s IOPC #93 All Rounder (6-Max) for ₹2.22 Lakhs -his third IOPC title at the IOPC 14.0, 11th IOPC title overall! As he had already secured his seat to the IOPC #137 All Rounder SnG Finale, his latest win will now see him carry a 1.5X stack to the February 5 marquee.
Sunday’s IOPC #86 PKO winner Deepak Singh collected ₹1.40 Lakhs in second place. Singh did one better in PokerBaazi’s (7-Max) Daily SPRINT, bagging the title and ₹72,444 top prize, adding to ₹2.27 Lakhs in Monday winnings. ‘Highness’ collected a ₹71,000 paycheque as the event runner-up.
Rahul Solanki parlayed a ₹165 satellite investment into a personal-best ₹2.11 Lakhs payday in PokerBaazi’s The Big Show! The IOPC #28 Sunday Prime winner Rishabh Gupta collected ₹1.40 Lakhs in second place.
Ankit Jajodia won Adda52’s Iron Man for his fourth title of January and ₹1.76 Lakhs (Won ₹2.11 Lakhs overall), chopping the title heads-up with G Mohan (2nd for ₹1.56 Lakhs).
