Wednesday reigned in an eventful day of MTT action with the inaugural National Poker Series (NPS) continuing its record-shattering run on PokerBaazi. And there`s another NPS – the Nano Poker Series – Adda52`s micro stakes tournament series currently underway.

PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek Singh topped the Wednesday charts after taking down Spartan Poker’s Destiny for the second time last night for 7.60 Lakhs. Anirban D Das secured the runner-up payout worth 4.68 Lakhs, bagging his 48th FT finish of the month.

Young Gun Kanchan Sharma clinched her first NPS Gold Medal in NPS#65 Sprint DST, winning 3.33 Lakhs. The NPS Marathon winner Kritagya Sharma placed runner-up for 2.35 Lakhs, posting his third NPS podium finish at the series. He has moved up to #2 on the NPS Podium leaderboard with 17 points.

The DOPT June Special champion Arun Sriram added 2.73 Lakhs on Wednesday from three ITM scores that included a top-three finish in both the Adda52 marquees.

Himanshu Kataria, Muthukumar Rajagopalan, Kunal Yadav, Neeraj Kumar, & Sai Siddharth shipped the other marquee events.

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker`s Destiny 20.0 series found its second champion last night. Running on a reduced 26 Lakhs prize pool guarantee, the Wednesday flagship filled in a 29.25 Lakhs prize pool after 585 entrants signed up to play. Starting at 8 PM, the event ended at 4:20 AM with PokerGuru Ambassador Vivek ‘KasolHieghts’ Singh topping the field to win his second Destiny title for a 7.60 Lakhs payday. Not only did the Destiny score make him the day`s biggest winner, but it also secured him a seat in the 10 Lakhs GTD Destiny 20.0 SnG Finale set for September 5 (9 PM). Singh had won the Destiny title for the first time in June last year for 7.98 Lakhs.

Online beast & Monday’s Battle Royale champion Anirban ‘pokernoob’ D Das settled for a runner-up prize worth 4.68 Lakhs, with Annant ‘Yennnefer’ Jain placing third for 2.71 Lakhs.

Anirban Das had an eventful Wednesday posting six ITM scores, including three FT finishes, collectively earning 5.01 Lakhs. His other FT scores were:

The record-breaking National Poker Series (NPS) is fast approaching the finish line. The inaugural series has another four days to go and Day 11 had six events running, and three of them awarded medals.

The showstopper 3 Crores GTD NPS Main Event logged in 512 entries on Flight 1C. After the stipulated 27 levels of play, 54 survivors packed their bags for what`s expected to be an electrifying Day 2 on Sunday. The 5,500 entry buy-in Main Event has registered 1,769 entries so far (Flight 1A – 634, Flight 1B – 623, and Flight 1C – 512) with four more flights left to meet its 6,000-entry guarantee. ‘rcane’ (626,000), PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot (330,000), and ‘pokertwo29’ (317,000) carried forward the top three stacks of the day.

The 550 entry buy-in 1 Crore GTD Golden Rush completed Flight 1K on Wednesday, adding 821 entries to the field. After the 27 levels of play, 72 runners made it through to Day 2, with ‘raj2102’ (484,000), Rohit ‘Rohit79singh’ Singh (463,000), and Shamin ‘Shogun’ Riza (426,000) topping the day-end chip counts. The event needs a massive 20,000 entries to break even and is a little below pace with 13,237 total entries and four flights to go.

The 1 Crore GTD NPS Highroller played out its second and last flight last night. The 16,500 entry buy-in event signed up 388 entries on Flight 1B, generating a guarantee-crushing 1.13 Crores from 755 total participants (Flight 1A – 367 and Flight 1B – 388). Well-known reg Vinod ‘figureitout’ Megalmani (308,000), the IOPC – The Crown champion Harshit ‘Harshit114’ Sanghi (287,000), and ‘Benny_gur’ (239,000) rounded out the top three stacks of the flight. Day 2 begins at 7:30 PM today with the Flight 1A chip leader Kunal ‘VasooliChacha’ Patni (507,000) starting out ahead of the 84 survivors.

The featured NPS event to award medals on Day 11 was the 10 Lakhs GTD NPS#65 Sprint DST. Young Gun Kanchan ‘Kanchansharma’ Sharma overcame the guarantee-crushing 737-entry field to win her first NPS Gold Medal and a winner`s payday worth 3.33 Lakhs. This was her second flagship title of the year, boosting her lifetime winnings to 2.91 Crores (1.04 Crores in net profits). The NPS#37 Marathon Kritagya ‘Kritagya_17’ Sharma placed second for 2.35 Lakhs.

PokerBaazi user ‘shyamzs’ topped the 3 Lakhs added NPS Daily Leaderboard for 75,000, with ‘nafeesahmed’ (2nd for 45,000) and Young Gun Kanchan ‘Kanchansharma’ Sharma (3rd for 33,000) securing the #2 and #3 positions respectively.

It has been a fantastic NPS so far for our PokerGuru Ambassadors, and it comes as no surprise that the top 10 chip counts featured as astounding two names from the team. The Destiny runner-up finisher was none other than the first-ever Adda52 Colossus champion Anirban ‘pokernoob’ D Das, who continuing his blistering run, scored ₹4.68 Lakhs in the event. What’s more impressive is that this was Das’ 48th FT of the month, pushing him up to #11 on the annual leaderboard standings. At the same time, he crossed the ₹2 Crore mark in lifetime profits.

The biggest of the three NPS events that played down to a winner last night, the ₹10 Lakhs GTD NPS#65 Sprint DST, sprinted its way to a guarantee-smashing ₹18.43 Lakhs prize pool on the back of 737 entries.

The event ran from 7:30 PM to 1:19 AM, and Young Gun Kanchan ‘Kanchansharma’ Sharma came out on top to collect her first NPS Gold Medal and ₹3.33 Lakhs in prize money. Kritagya ‘Kritagya_17’ Sharma placed second for ₹2.35 Lakhs.

Kanchan Sharma bagged her second flagship title last night, crossing ₹2.91 Crores in lifetime online winnings.

The runner-up finisher Kritagya Sharma already had two NPS medals under his belt. He championed the NPS#37 Marathon on June 18 for ₹4.78 Lakhs and came close to defending his title in the NPS #47 Marathon on June 20, but ultimately placed third for ₹1.76 Lakhs. Last night’s runner-up finish brought him his third NPS medal at the series and first NPS Silver Medal. He is now placed second on the NPS Podium Leaderboard with 17 points, behind PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit Wadhawan (20 points).

The mystery user ’60kk108′ bested Tuesday’s Bigstack Turbo winner Swapnil ‘pokpom1’ Patil heads-up to bank a winner’s paycheque worth ₹37,899 (includes ₹18,395 in bounties). Swapnil Patil pocketed ₹21,818 (includes ₹2,313 in bounties) for his runner-up finish.
