PokerBaazi led the way with its array of high-value tournaments, setting the tone for a thrilling day. Other major platforms maintained the momentum, sticking to their regular event schedules.
Amidst this festive online poker atmosphere, A23 Poker’s splendid ₹50 Lakhs GTD Supersonic Multi-Level Tournament Series offered a high-energy experience for enthusiasts. Complementing this, the eagerly awaited Money Magnet 2.0 Series by Junglee Poker brought an extra layer of excitement to the holiday season, making it an extraordinary and memorable time for the poker community.
Young Gun Devang Yadav is riding a wave of remarkable success this month. His outstanding form was on full display on Christmas Eve when he clinched the top position in PokerBaazi’s (1000X) BSS SuperStack. This victory brought him a whopping ₹6.58 Lakhs, making him the day’s highest earner with the single largest score! Yadav also made significant strides in two other tournaments, accumulating total winnings of ₹6.89 Lakhs on Sunday. Wilson Yomso fought valiantly and earned a substantial ₹5.05 Lakhs for his second-place finish.
JaiKiran Kumar is experiencing an exceptional run this month, consistently delivering top-notch performances. This Sunday, he hit a new high for 2023, amassing an impressive ₹6.16 Lakhs from five deep runs, which elevated his annual winnings to over ₹1 Crore. His remarkable performance was highlighted by two title victories in Spartan Poker’s Sunday Superstack, where he earned ₹5.72 Lakhs, and PokerStars India’s Big Bubble Rush, adding ₹43,599 to his winnings. Siddharth Gangwar also had a notable day, securing second place in the Sunday Superstack with a prize of ₹3.87 Lakhs and accumulated a total of ₹3.96 Lakhs from three deep runs.
Young Gun Sanat Mehrotra continued his remarkable run, securing a major victory in PokerBaazi’s BSS Big Bounty and taking home a substantial ₹3.68 Lakhs (₹40,000 in bounties). Mehrotra’s Sunday was marked by five impressive performances, culminating in earnings of ₹4.47 Lakhs, which propelled his lifetime winnings past the significant ₹13 Crores mark! Goonjan Mall also put up a strong showing in the BSS Big Bounty, clinching the runner-up spot and earning ₹2.72 Lakhs (₹24,000 in bounties).
Saransh Garg made a triumphant return to the winner’s circle after a 14-day hiatus, clinching the top spot in PokerStars India’s Sunday Special [8-Max, PKO] and earning ₹3.28 Lakhs (₹1.81 Lakhs in bounties). His impressive performance didn’t stop there; he amassed a total of ₹4.18 Lakhs from three cash finishes. Hardik Nair also had a commendable day, securing a sum of ₹2.25 Lakhs from five deep runs. His standout performances included two final table appearances — he finished second in the Sunday Special, earning ₹1.72 Lakhs, and came fourth in Spartan Poker’s Money Heist, bagging ₹26,699.
The mystery player ‘tk16rmcf’ achieved a notable milestone on PokerBaazi last night, clinching their first title in the BSS Super Value and securing a career-best ₹2.66 Lakhs following a three-way deal. Sanchit Nag also benefited from the deal, finishing in second place with a commendable ₹2.37 Lakhs. Additionally, ‘aayushsood’ rounded out the trio, securing third place and taking home ₹2.03 Lakhs as part of the same deal.
Avneesh Munjal (Won 6-Max BSS SPRINT for ₹1.34 Lakhs) and Shaurya Modi (Won BSS Kickoff for ₹81,432) won the other BSS marquee tournaments of the day.
On Junglee Poker, the player ‘adu143’ achieved an extraordinary feat in the Money Magnet 2.0, turning an investment of just ₹1 into a staggering ₹1 Lakh. Meanwhile, ‘dpis’ came close to the Lakhpati milestone but narrowly missed it, ending up with a respectable ₹19,995 as the runner-up.
The user ‘Thedev’ emerged victorious in Pocket52’s Pocket Kings tournament, securing a cash prize of ₹19,348. Following closely, ‘timepass52’ claimed the runner-up position, earning a notable payday of ₹13,590.
Taliwabang Jamir, Aditya Kesharwani, Partho Datta, Amarjeet Singh, and Sohan Tomar shipped the other Sunday tournaments.
