As we get into the holiday mood, the online poker sites keep doling out sizzling hot action! Sundays are the most active day of the week for poker players, and yesterday did not disappoint.

Spartan Poker’s Winter Celebration Series was undoubtedly the star attraction for players, and the first of the two ₹1 Crore GTD events on the WCS schedule, i.e., WCS#40 – United, saw Dhinesh Kumar walking away with the title! The former Full House winner claimed a monstrous ₹18.16 Lakhs, the second-best payout of his online career so far after beating Yash Chitre (2nd for ₹10.38 Lakhs) heads-up.

The veteran MTT pro Sumit Sapra captured his fourth title of the year in PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack for ₹4.37 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj locked in a runner-up finish worth ₹3.06 Lakhs. The former Millionaire champion, Bajaj, ran deep in two more events, netting ₹6.56 Lakhs collectively.

Sandeep Varma took down Adda52’s Nano Main Event for ₹3.81 Lakhs, following a three-way deal with Bibhu Agarwal (2nd for ₹3.17 Lakhs) and Chirag Sodha (3rd for ₹2.82 Lakhs).

Ashwin Vijay was the last player standing in PokerStars India’s Sunday Special – Progressive KO and scored ₹3.14 Lakhs. Young Gun Shardul Parthasarathi came out on top in Sunday Highroller to collect ₹2.35 Lakhs.

Joining the Sunday winner’s list was Sanish Chhabra, who shipped the WCS#39 – Mid – Main Event for ₹2.34 Lakhs. Sahil ‘imluminati777’ Babbar came second for ₹2.31 Lakhs, courtesy of a heads-up deal.

Areyann Gurbaxani, Anurag Srivastava, Shravan Chhabria, Avinash Kumar, Pratik Manjrekar, Laxmi Narayan Meena, Kovid Saraswat, Dhananjay Kanaujia, PokerGuru Ambassador Rony Chowdhury, and Kunal Shalin shipped the other Sunday marquees.

Spartan Poker`s Winter Celebration Series (WCS) had a firecracker line-up of events this past weekend, and nine of them played down to a winner yesterday!

Dhinesh ‘kendralust’ Kumar emerged as the Sunday chartbuster as he took down the ₹1 Crore GTD WCS #40 – United. The former Millionaire Lite winner trounced a 1,468-entry field to claim the lion’s share of the ₹1.02 Crores prize pool worth a ginormous ₹18.16 Lakhs.

The WCS United victory fetched Dhinesh Kumar his 15th title of the year and his second-best online score to date. His career-best finish remains the ₹25 Lakhs he won in Adda52’s Full House on August 23, 2020.

Kartikeya ‘Kartikeya123’ Yadav (4th for ₹5.39 Lakhs), Abhishek ‘TheGrinder’ Garg (7th for ₹2.45 Lakhs), along with PokerGuru Ambassadors Vishal ‘CrownUpJr’ Bajaj (6th for ₹3.20 Lakhs) and Arjanveer ‘bazzingaa’ Singh Chadha (8th for ₹1.73 Lakhs) also final-tabled WCS#40 – United.

Spartan Poker`s other Sunday marquee, ₹35 Lakhs GTD WCS#37 – Sunday Superstack, logged in 388 entries posting a ₹38.80 Lakhs prize pool. The user ‘feeslop’ won the event for ₹7.77 Lakhs, while Debashis ‘dev255-pg1’ Bal came second for ₹5.17 Lakhs.

The 9 PM event concluded at 5.31 AM with the mystery reg ‘Padma37’ taking down the title for ₹7.07 Lakhs – their second-best recorded finish on the site. The four-time Destiny winner Nitin ‘bigbluffs’ Arora placed runner-up for ₹4.22 Lakhs. The former Millionaire champion and last night’s BSS MonsterStack winner Anurag ‘NormanBates’ Srivastava (3rd for ₹3.17 Lakhs) also secured a podium finish.
