DPT September 2017: Adda52 Team Pro Amit Jain Wins High Roller Title For ₹24.94 Lakhs

Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) continues to attract a good turnout of players with the costliest event on the schedule – 75K High Roller attracting 114 entries. Topping them all was Adda52 Team pro Amit ‘bblacklegend’ Jain (cover image) who came out with his A-game and was rewarded aptly with a well-deserved victory that banked him a ₹24.94 Lakhs payday.

The event saw a number of big names in action including Adda52 Team Pro Kunal Patni, Ankush Aryan, Adda52 Millions High Roller winner Anujkumar Kodam, Kickoff winner Bobbe Suri, Kunal Chandra, Danish Shaikh, Gaurav Kalra, Nitesh Baliyan, Vishrut Jain, Vivek Rughani, Rajat Jain, Sangeeth Mohan, Paawan Bansal, Muskan Sethi, Jaydeep Dawer and Alok Birewar among others.

The starting field of 114 entries was trimmed down to 28 players on Saturday with Pradeep Sharma leading the pack with 4,05,000 in chips. The eventual champion Amit Jain was another strong contender with the second largest stack of 3,61,500.

One specific name continues to stand out and that is Jaydeep Dawer. Dawer has been on a heater off late with an impressive string of scores both online and live and his good run story continued at DPT. After making a third-place finish in the inaugural kickoff event, he added a fourth-place finish in this event for ₹8,73,200.

 

Final Day Recap

The day started with 28 survivors and Amit Jain got down to business almost by eliminating Loveleen Singh.

Other notable eliminations were Adda52 CEO Anuj Gupta, Adda52 Celebrity Pro Minissha Lamba, Robert D, Nadeem Basha, Manesh Rathod & Nitesh Baliyan.

The money bubble busted on Gaurav Kalra who exited in 13th place.

The three players who made it in the money but out of the final table were Lalit Khanna (10th place), Praveen Tamanna (11th place) and Chirag Mirani (12th place).

Final Table Recap

Danish Shaikh was the first one to fall at the hands of Amit Jain. Shaikh moved all-in with and Jain snap called with . The community cards opened and Jain further improved to take down the pot, eliminating Shaikh in the process.

The next one to fall was Pradeep Sharma followed by Vishrut Jain who went out at seventh place. Jain`s elimination hand saw Vikas Kumar open shoving with Kx Qx and the short-stacked Jain made an easy call with pocket Queens. Unfortunately for Jain, Kumar paired his King on the board to end Jain’s tournament run.

Ronak Vyas was the next player to be scalped after he moved all-in with , only to run into Ashish Jain`s . Jain made further progress with two-pairs on the board to take down the pot that brought the final table down to five players.

Ashish Jain soon made it two eliminations in a row by taking out Vikas Kumar in fifth place.

Jaydeep Dawer has been in stellar form this year and is showing no signs of slowing down. This player-operator finished third in the Kickoff event and went on to make another deep run in the High Roller, eventually settling for a fourth-place finish. Ashish Jain not content with two successive eliminations, added a third victim in Dawer. On his last hand on the final table, Dawer moved all-in with and Jain called him off with a superior and held on as the board delivered the .

Just when Ashish Jain was looking unstoppable, his trailblazing run was cut short by Amit Jain. Amit open shoved with and Ashish made the call with . It all came down to a flip with the board clearly favoring Amit who took down the pot.

The final heads-up battle came down to a decider between two of the countries most respected MTT players i.e. Sahil ‘antilog’ Agarwal and Amit ‘bblacklegend’ Jain with the latter emerging victorious. On the final hand of the tournament, Agarwal limped and Jain moved all-in with . Agarwal made the call with but got no support on the board .
