The Foxen household added another trophy as Alex Foxen roared to his first title of 2024, conquering the $25,500 No-Limit Hold’em at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open (LHPO) Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Friday, claiming a staggering $426,075! With this win, the Foxens have already claimed two trophies in the young year.

Alex’s path to victory wasn’t easy. Emerging from a field of 50 seasoned pros, he faced down heavyweights like Kevin Rabichow, the Day 1 chip leader. But Alex found his rhythm, doubling up against Justin Saliba early on and sending him out in fifth. Even Kristen, fresh off her own win, fell to Rabichow’s might in fourth, banking $117,325.

Yet, Alex remained undeterred. He battled fiercely, ultimately defeating Rabichow in a climactic heads-up showdown. Pocket jacks proved unstoppable against Rabichow’s Jack-Wueen, solidifying Alex’s victory and adding another chapter to his illustrious poker journey, with the poker coach Rabichow taking home $284,050 for finishing second.

Even before this win, Alex had a solid start in 2024, reaching the final table of three of the four events he played in the year but failed to secure a live title. This included a big title sweat in the PGT Kickoff finale, where he got his aces cracked by his wife`s pocket queens, his better half eventually bagging her career second PGT victory in the event.

Final Table Recap

The $25k High Roller drew 50 participants, including numerous top professionals. Kevin Rabichow, one of these accomplished players, ended Day 1 as the chip leader with a significant advantage with five players remaining.

Alex Foxen, starting the final table with less than 30 big blinds, quickly doubled up in an early clash with Justin Saliba, severely diminishing Saliba’s stack. Foxen subsequently eliminated Saliba in fifth place.

Despite Foxen’s advances, Rabichow maintained a strong lead at the table. He further solidified his position by eliminating Kristen Foxen in fourth place, expanding his stack to over 170 big blinds.

Rabichow, one of the best online poker players in the world, then knocked out Thomas Boivin in third place, leading to a heads-up battle with Alex Foxen.

In the decisive hand, Foxen went all-in with pocket jacks on a board showing . After tanking, Rabichow called with but couldn’t overcome Foxen’s dominant pair, settling for second place.
