Full Schedule For the Biggest-Ever 2023 WSOP Released (May 30 – July 18)

The announcement every poker player has been waiting for is finally here. The World Series of Poker (WSOP) – poker’s richest and longest-running live tournament series is returning grander than ever for its 54th annual run at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas strip, from May 30 to July 18, 2023.

While the dates for the 2023 WSOP were announced in mid-December last year, the full schedule was put up on the WSOP.com website on Thursday, February 2.

As expected, the 2023 WSOP promises to be the biggest-ever – there are 95 gold bracelets to be won in live bracelet tournaments – seven more than in the 2022 edition, with an additional 20 online bracelets on WSOP.com in the merged network of New Jersey and Nevada. The segregated markets of Pennsylvania and Michigan will award seven bracelets each, totaling 129 bracelets – the most ever awarded at the annual series.

The 53rd Annual WSOP in 2022 brought in 197,624 entries from across 100 countries, generating a record-breaking $347.9 Million in prize money. The upcoming edition is pitted to be the most glorious ever. Expect more tables and more variety of tournaments at the summer fest, which ambitiously aims to shatter all previous records not only in the number of bracelet events offered but also attendance.

The series headliner – Event #76: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, or the Main Event, is coming back with aggression. To break all past records, the brand will run the “Main Event Mania” – a well-designed set of satellites, giveaways, and promotions.

The Main Event starts on July 3, running four starting flights to Day 2ABC and Day 2D. The nine-handed final table will set off on Day 9, July 16, and the tournament will crown a champion on Day 10, July 17. The 2023 WSOP Main Event champion, in addition to the bragging rights of winning the most coveted title in the game, will win the “Main Event for Life,” earning a non-transferrable Main Event buy-in for the next 30 years!

Ty Stewart, Senior VP and Executive Director, WSOP, said – “With the momentum generated from the WSOP’s debut on the Las Vegas Strip last year, we expect a record-breaking WSOP and World Championship at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas in 2023.” He added – “If the Main Event is on your bucket list, this is the year to get to Vegas.”

GGPoker returns as WSOP’s exclusive satellite partner and offers 600 guaranteed seats to the WSOP Main Event. It will give away 500 seats on GGPoker.com via international qualifiers and another 100 seats through the ClubGG.net subscription site.

For the first time, WSOP will host the Global Qualification Weekend (May 20-21) at live poker rooms across four continents worldwide. The poker rooms will offer specified guaranteed seat satellite tournaments, and qualifying players will win tickets to the 2023 WSOP Main Event.

What else? WSOP.com will award 112 seats to the Main Event from June 25 to July 8.

> There will be 608 tables spread over 200,000 square feet of convention space. Added to this will be round-the-clock live cash game action, including a brand-new permanent Hall of Fame poker room at Horseshoe Las Vegas

> Event #1 $500 Casinos Employees to sound off the action, while a new offering, Event #2: $25K High Roller, will be next (May 30)

> Traditionally played as the last bracelet event, Event #4: Tournament of Champions is one of the first few events on the 2023 WSOP schedule (May 31).

Anyone who wins a WSOP Circuit ring at a live event, or during a WSOP.com/WSOP.ca/GGPoker.net online circuit from July 20, 2022, to May 22, 2023, and winners from WSOP Online 2022 (WSOP.com/ WSOP.ca/ GGPoker.net), and WSOP Europe 2022 can register for the tournament.

> Daily Deep Stack tournaments to run daily from June 1 – July 1, featuring three different buy-ins ranging from $200-$400.

> Daily Mega Satellites to run from May 31 – July 14, with buy-ins between $135 to $125,000

> The $1,000 Million Dollar Bounty has been rebranded as the $1,000 buy-in Event #3: Mystery Millions, featuring, for the first time, a guaranteed $1 Million to the winner and $1 Million top bounty (May 31 – June 5). The tournament starts as a regular event and will change to a bounty format on Day 2.

> Event #18: $300 buy-in Gladiators of Poker is the most affordable bracelet event at the 2023 WSOP, offering a $3 Million GTD prize pool (June 7) (first-ever $300 buy-in tourney in WSOP history)

Here are the new additions introduced for the 2023 WSOP.

WSOP Main Event & the Main Event Mania

Topping the tournament schedule will be the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, aka the Main Event. Last year the Main Event drew 8,663 entries, the second-largest field in its history. Norwegian pro and popular Twitch streamer Espen Uhlen Jorstad won the World Championship title, banking a whopping $10 Million. The record for the largest turnout is held by the 2006 WSOP Main Event, which attracted 8,773 players, with Jamie Gold shipping it for $12 Million.

The tournament organizers have mapped out a slew of promotions, an exhaustive satellite schedule, etc., as part of the “Main Event Mania,” leaving no stone unturned to ensure that 2023 is the year when the 16-year-old attendance record is broken. Even better, the eventual champion of the showstopper tournament will win the “Main Event for Life,” a non-transferrable Main Event buy-in for the next 30 years!

GGPoker to Offer 600 Main Event Seats

GGPoker – WSOP’s exclusive satellite partner, will be handing out 500 guaranteed seats to the 2023 WSOP Main Event through international qualifiers. Additionally, the online poker giant will be awarding 100 seats through the ClubGG.net subscription site. This translates into 600 seats worth $6 Million – more than double the seats GGPoker qualifiers won for the 2022 WSOP.

Online satellites will take off on GGPoker in March.

Global Qualification Weekend Across Live Poker Rooms

On the weekend of May 20-21, several live poker rooms worldwide will host the guaranteed seat satellite tournaments as part of the WSOP’s Global Qualification Weekend. These poker rooms will offer a “step” tournament at a $140 buy-in and a culminating mega tournament at a $1,175 buy-in. The winner will walk away with a guaranteed seat into the WSOP Main Event and travel expenses.

Some casinos confirmed to host the step tournaments include Harrah’s Cherokee, Horseshoe Las Vegas, Horseshoe Tunica, Horseshoe St. Louis, Harrah’s Pompano, Turning Stone Casino, Hard Rock Tulsa, Grand Victoria Casino (Elgin, Ill.) and Horseshoe Council Bluffs.

Among the International partners who will host “Main Event Mania” include King’s Resort (Czech Republic), Club Pierre Charron Paris (France), Deerfoot Inn & Casino Calgary (Canada), Enjoy Punta del Este Resort and Casino (Uruguay), and Casino Es Saadi Marrakech (Morocco).

WSOP.com to Award 112 Main Event Seats

WSOP.com will award 112 seats to the 2023 WSOP Main Event from June 25 to July 8. Headlining this will be the 25-Seat Scramble, which features a $250K guarantee and will run on Sunday, July 2. The “All-In” Satellites, with buy-ins between $80-$126, will run daily from June 25 – July 8.

WSOP.com Online Bracelet Events

A total of 20 online bracelet events dot the 2023 WSOP schedule, six more than in 2022. Some highlights include three special “Double Up Bracelet Days” on June 4, June 5, and July 9.

Some top attractions include the $3,200 High Roller, the $500 Summer Saver, and the $1,00 NLHE Online Championship. New additions include a $5,3000 High Roller Championship and a $300 Summer Kick-Off.
