What a Sunday it was with the top four online poker sites in the country all hosting a marquee series. While Spartan Poker’s Ultimate Value Series (UVS) and Adda52’s Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT) culminated yesterday, PokerBaazi’s inaugural National Poker Series (NPS) made a guarantee-smashing debut. PokerStars India’s Summer Series has one more day to go before wrapping up.
For a change, the biggest prize pool guarantee on offer wasn`t in Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire but Adda52’s DOPT Main Event. Gagandeep Singh traversed the 1,507-entry field in the ₹1.50 Crore GTD DOPT headliner to claim a career-best ₹24.70 Lakhs payday!
The two-time Millionaire champion Manish Lakhotia placed runner-up in the DOPT Main Event to collect a whopping ₹17.92 Lakhs, overtaking PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh as the top-ranked player of the year. PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj finished third for ₹13.01 Lakhs.
Kunal Vohra bagged Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire title, banking a jaw-dropping ₹17.44 Lakhs (cumulatively) for the win. Young Gun Arsh Grover was eyeing his career-second Millionaire title and came close enough with a second-place finish worth ₹9.59 Lakhs. He also finished fourth in Adda52’s DOPT 6 Max Showdown for ₹2.37 Lakhs, adding ₹12.20 Lakhs in Sunday winnings.

The second ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire of June drew in 2,060 entries through five starting flights, creating a ₹1.02 Crores prize pool. Day 2 kicked off at 10 PM with 290 starting stacks (199 unique players). Six hours and 33 minutes passed before Kunal ‘kvohra’ Vohra was declared as the latest Millionaire champion. Kunal Vohra, the former FTS#17 winner, clinched his first-ever Millionaire title after besting Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover in the heads-up play, banking a personal-best ₹17.34 Lakhs in the process. Vohra also placed 272nd for ₹9,462, adding ₹17.44 Lakhs in cumulative earnings.
The former Millionaire champion, Young Gun Arsh Grover, was the #2 ranked player last year. And even though he`s been keeping a relatively low profile this year, he made quite the impression last night. The Delhi-based MTT pro made a strong run for his second Millionaire title but ultimately had to settle for a runner-up finish worth ₹9.59 Lakhs. He also placed 113th on his second Day 2 stack for ₹15,941, netting ₹9.75 Lakhs in the event. Grover also placed fourth in Adda52’s DOPT 6 Max Showdown for ₹2.37 Lakhs to rake in ₹12.20 Lakhs in Sunday earnings. He also became the ninth player on our tracked database to reach the ₹1.50 Crore mark in annual winnings.

Attracting 406 participants, the ₹11,000 entry buy-in tourney managed to surpass its listed guarantee by ₹60,000. India’s first solo WSOP bracelet winner, Young Gun Abhinav ‘hightr0ller’ Iyer, won the event for ₹8.14 Lakhs, while Raghav ‘Maddytilt’ Madan finished runner-up for ₹5.41 Lakhs.

The star attraction of PokerStars India’s inaugural Summer Series, the ₹1 Crore GTD Main Event, commenced its three-day run on Sunday, June 13. The 11,000 buy-in event registered 594 entries (379 unique and 215 re-entries) on Day 1. The final numbers will surely go up with late registrations open for six levels on Day 2. The action kicks off at 7:30 PM today, with 171 players starting out. ‘BE@tTheFish’ (255,688), ‘khushbuban79’ (237,960), and Young Gun Ujjwal ‘CougarHunter69’ Narwal (235,124) hold the top three stacks heading into Day 2.
Running alongside the Main Event was the ₹12 Lakhs GTD Summer Series – 126 The Big Crunch. With a ₹3,300 entry buy-in, the tournament logged in 327 entries, filling in ₹2.19 Lakhs in overlays. PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘B00MTilt23’ Pal Singh shipped the event for ₹2.02 Lakhs, following a heads-up chop with The Millionaire fifth-place finisher, Young Gun Karan ‘The AnnihiIator’ Radia, who netted ₹1.87 Lakhs in prize money. The much-awaited National Poker Series (NPS) commenced yesterday and the opening day hosted six events. Setting the stage for what promises to be an epic series was the ₹50 Lakhs GTD NPS Kick-Off. The ₹2,750 entry buy-in event played out two out of its four starting flights, i.e., Flight 1A & 1B.
Starting at 4 PM, Flight 1A logged in 781 entries, and after five hours of play, the field dwindled down to 94 survivors. ‘vedprakash923’ (317,000), ‘Amei’ (302,000), and ‘luckbox99’ (299,000) bagged the top Flight 1A stacks. Just as Flight 1A concluded at 9 PM, Flight 1B began and ran till 2:01 AM. A total of 42 players progressed to Day 2 from a starting field of 382 entries. With a stack of 410,000, Deep ‘ChristopherCoke’ Patel not only topped the Flight 1B survivors but also grabbed the overall chip lead. ‘CopyNinja’ (332,000) and Yogiraj ‘Yogiraj’ Singh (309,000) carried forward the next top stacks.
The NPS Kick-Off event has so far logged in 1,163 entries (Flight 1A – 781 and Flight 1B – 382) with two more flights left to play before Day 2 on June 16 (6 PM).
The first of the 15 starting flights of the ₹1 Crore GTD NPS#2 NPS Golden Rush played out last night. The event sports a ₹550 buy-in, and it’s the first time ever in India that an event with such a small entry buy-in sports a ₹1 Crore prize pool guarantee – the event needs 20,000 entries to hit its eight-figure advertised guarantee. The ambitious NPS Golden Rush got off to a flying start with Flight 1A registering a whopping 1,995 entries and 260 runners advanced to Day 2. ‘fisheries’ (576,000), ‘psilocybin1’ (397,000), and one of the NPS Kick-off Flight 1B chip leaders, Yogiraj ‘Yogiraj’ Singh (393,000), bagged the top three stacks in the opening flight of the NPS Golden Rush.
The NPS Day 1 headliner, the ₹25 Lakhs GTD NPS#4 Sunday Marathon, clocked in 832 entries, generating a massive ₹33.28 Lakhs prize pool. After nine hours and 19 minutes of play, the mystery user ‘Damage’ emerged as the victor, taking home ₹5.91 Lakhs in first-place prize money. The champion now has ₹8.50 Lakhs in recorded winnings on PokerBaazi (₹6.49 Lakhs in site profits).
PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved pulled out another stunning Sunday run with six deep runs, adding over ₹7.84 Lakhs in total winnings. He has moved up three places to #6 in the annual leaderboard standings with around ₹1.54 Crores in yearly earnings.

Bringing an end to a ten-week title drought, seasoned MTT pro Anant ‘Pro_Pro’ Purohit championed the ₹10 Lakhs GTD NPS#6 Sprint for ₹2.52 Lakhs. Anant Purohit defeated Navdeep ‘Psychonaut’ Sahi (runner-up for ₹1.75 Lakhs) heads-up to win his first NPS title. The event registered 749 entrants, collecting a ₹14.98 Lakhs prize pool.

The third edition of the Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT) concluded yesterday with the ₹1.50 Crore GTD DOPT Main Event playing down to a winner. The series showstopper registered 1,507 entries across six starting flights, just about crossing the listed guarantee by ₹70,018. Day 2 commenced at 9:45 PM on Sunday and had 171 runners vying for the title.
Gagandeep ‘gaganhyd’ Singh was the last player standing in the mega tournament and won a jaw-dropping ₹24.70 Lakhs for the thumping victory. This was Singh’s first recorded title victory of the year and boosted his tracked online earnings past the ₹1.44 Crore mark.
Gagandeep Singh came up against the two-time Millionaire champion Manish ‘newkidpoker’ Lakhotia in the heads-up battle. Even though Lakhotia lost the title to Singh, his runner-up finish worth ₹17.92 Lakhs has catapulted him across PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh in the annual leaderboard standings, landing him the #1 rank.

Arun ‘runyrules’ Sriram trounced the field to pocket the winner’s paycheque worth ₹4.04 Lakhs, just as ‘RickyRPG1997’ placed second for ₹2.34 Lakhs. The former Full House third-place finisher, Arun Sriram, finished ITM in three more events, including an FT score in PokerStars India’s Summer Series – The Big Crunch, collectively earning ₹5.05 Lakhs. The second June edition of Spartan Poker’s ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire is finally in the rear-view mirror. The weekend flagship registered a 2,057-player field across five starting flights, and it all came to a close last night.
Day 2 had 290 qualifiers (199 unique entries) converging at 10 PM last night. Kunal ‘kvohra’ Vohra outlasted them all to bag his first-ever Millionaire title and a career-best ₹17.34 Lakhs. Vohra also made good of his second qualifying stack – placing a 272nd– for ₹9,462. His collective winnings in the tourney touched ₹17.44 Lakhs.
While we don’t have the complete details of Vohra’s user screen names on other domestic sites, his Spartan Poker earnings (₹81.25 Lakhs) got a significant boost after this win.
The former Millionaire champion, Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’Grover finished runner-up for a near seven-figure score of ₹9.59 Lakhs, moving up to #9 on the annual leaderboard. He also placed 113th for ₹15,941, collecting earning ₹9.75 Lakhs in the event. Add to that his fourth-place finish in Adda52’s DOPT 6 Max Showdown worth ₹2.37 Lakhs, Grover raked in ₹12.20 Lakhs yesterday. He became the ninth player on our database to touch the “₹1.5 Crores” mark in annual earnings.

The₹4,400 entry buy-in event logged in 832 entries, creating a guarantee-smashing ₹33.28 Lakhs prize pool (over a third more than its advertised guarantee).
