It was an electrifying Sunday for poker players, and Spartan Poker’s ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire was once again the day`s star attraction. Like the previous weekends, the fourth Millionaire edition of April obliterated its prize pool guarantee. The user ‘Kickercards’ stormed his way into the “Millionaire`s Club,” netting the lion`s share of the ₹1.04 Crore prize pool worth ₹17.38 Lakhs. Uttam Kumar Sinha finished runner-up for ₹9.53 Lakhs.
The Siliguri-based MTT pro Manish Lakhotia has been locked in an intense three-way race for the #1 rank on the yearly leaderboard these past few weeks. He had lost his top spot to PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh two weeks ago. However, Lakhotia’s third-place finish in The Millionaire last night landed him back on top of the 2021 leaderboard rankings.
Besides The Millionaire, PokerBaazi’s Value Bomb Extreme was another crowd puller. The third edition of this popular event was shipped by Gaurav Kaul for ₹8.10 Lakhs. Well-known player Yudhisthir Singh Rathore came in second for ₹5.56 Lakhs.
PokerGuru Ambassadors have been crushing the online MTT scene, with as many as five of them featuring among the top 10 winners of the year. Last night again, the team came out in full force with two title victories and another two runner-up finishes across the Sunday marquees. Gokul Raj (Won PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller for ₹2.98 Lakhs) and Naresh Veeravalli (Won Spartan Poker’s Money Heist for ₹1.71 Lakhs) won titles, while Arjanveer Singh Chadha (2nd in Spartan Poker’s Sunday Superstack for ₹5.53 Lakhs), Ankit Wadhawan (2nd in Adda52 Millions for ₹4.33 Lakhs), and Vishal Bajaj (5th in Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire for ₹3.94 Lakhs) posted top finishes.
Shagun Jain (Won Adda52’s Deepstack Madness for ₹5.22 Lakhs), Amit Kaushik (Won PokerStars India’s Sunday Special for ₹3.10 Lakhs), Bibhu Agarwal (Won Adda52’s Sunday Showdown for ₹1.95 Lakhs), and Anmol Agarwal (Won PokerBaazi’s BSS#5 MegaStack for ₹1.46 Lakhs) were the other Sunday winners!
Here are the complete Sunday highlights!
Spartan Poker
Spartan Poker’s ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire was the biggest weekend attraction, and the turnouts didn`t disappoint. The ₹5,500 entry buy-in event kicked off on Thursday, and by Sunday night, 2,078 entries had been registered through the five starting flights, leading to a prize pool collection of ₹1.04 Crores.
Day 2 commenced at 10 PM with 309 qualifying stacks (222 unique entries). Following six hours and 41 minutes of play, the mystery user ‘Kickercards’ came out on top to become the fourth and final Millionaire champion of April! The winner locked horns with Uttam ‘chinunew’ Kumar Sinha in the heads-up play and ultimately outmaneuvered him to capture the title and top prize of ₹17.39 Lakhs! Sinha took home a commendable ₹9.53 Lakhs in second-place prize money. ‘Kickercards’ now has ₹25.52 Lakhs in site-cashes, with a profit of ₹7.10 Lakhs.
The star-studded final table featured the likes of two-time Millionaire champion Manish ‘thekid’ Lakhotia (3rd for ₹6.57 Lakhs), Dhirendra ‘dhiru91’ Kumar (4th for ₹4.73 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal ‘CrownUpJr’ Bajaj (5th for ₹3.95 Lakhs), FTS 2.0 Main Event champion Young Gun Siddharth ‘Ari Tribbiani’ Karia (7th for ₹2.45 Lakhs), and the IOPC The Crown winner PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘LuckyBhai$’ Pal Singh (8th for ₹1.78 Lakhs).
Until last Saturday, Manish Lakhotia trailed Young Gun Gaurav Sood by almost ₹2.30 Lakhs on the yearly charts. Though he missed out on becoming the first player to win three Millionaire titles, his deep run, nevertheless, landed him the #1 position on the annual rankings!
Running with a pumped-up ₹40 Lakhs prize pool guarantee, the Sunday Superstack wrangled in 415 contenders, collecting a whopping ₹41.50 Lakhs prize pool. The anonymous user ‘f00l4u’ took down the event for ₹8.32 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer ‘bazzingaa’ Singh Chadha took second-place for ₹5.53 Lakhs.

PokerStars India
PokerStars India had three marquee events on offer last night. While the Sunday Special and Sunday Highroller are weekly staples on the site, the PokerStars India 3rd Anniversary Freeroll was a special tourney hosted to celebrate the site completing three years of operations in India. Before we get to the anniversary freeroll, let’s take a look at the weekly events.
The ₹15 Lakhs GTD Sunday Special Progressive KO logged in 262 entries, failing to reach its advertised guarantee by ₹1.90 Lakhs. Amit ‘Stu Ungar 7694’ Kaushik, who had championed PokerStars India’s ₹5 Lakhs GTD Night on Stars on April 14, took down the event for ₹3.10 Lakhs (includes ₹1.66 Lakhs in bounties). Vinayak ‘koi.toh.rok.lo’ Bajaj came in second for ₹1.75 Lakhs (includes ₹31,406 in bounties).
Kaushik ran deep in two more events on Sunday, namely PokerBaazi’s ₹1 Lakh GTD BSS#1 Kickoff (8th for ₹4,204) and ₹1.5 Lakhs GTD Turbo (4th for ₹15,494), raking in over ₹3.50 Lakhs through the day.
Starting two and a half hours after the Sunday Special, the ₹12 Lakhs GTD Sunday Highroller also adopted the PKO format. The event collected a ₹12.10 Lakhs prize pool on the back of 121 entries, and PokerGuru Ambassador Gokul ‘Haxton Jr’ Raj outlasted them all to win ₹2.98 Lakhs (includes ₹1.78 Lakhs in bounties). He now has ₹4.66 Crores in lifetime online winnings.
Last week’s Sunday Highroller champion, Shravan ‘lukBo$$13’ Chhabria, came close to claiming the title in consecutive weeks, eventually finishing runner-up for ₹1.84 Lakhs (includes ₹64,375 in bounties). Chhabria also final-tabled Adda52’s ₹10 Lakhs GTD Sunday Showdown (7th for ₹30,320).
Coming to the PokerStars India 3rd Anniversary Freeroll, the event promised a ₹10 Lakhs prize pool guarantee. A total of 2,715 entries were registered, with 548 runners assured payouts. After seven hours of intense play, the mystery user ‘fuckRey’ shipped the event for ₹1.31 Lakhs, while ‘Kenny Nong’ finished runner-up for ₹90,000.

Sundays on PokerBaazi are marked off for the Baazi Super Sunday (BSS) series, and just like always, the ₹20 Lakhs GTD BSS#4 SuperStack headlined the roster. The ₹5,500 entry buy-in event garnered 404 entries, crossing its listed guarantee by ₹20,000. ‘PayYourDealer’ trounced the field, walking away with the ₹4.24 Lakhs top prize. The winner boosted their site-cashes to ₹23.94 Lakhs. PokerStars India’s “Star of the Month” – February Armaan ‘Armaan007’ Kochhar booked the runner-up spot for ₹2.97 Lakhs. Kochhar, who had placed runner-up in Spartan Poker’s ₹16 Lakhs GTD Trending Thursday on April 22, is presently sitting atop ₹4.19 Crores in lifetime online earnings.
Unlike last week, PokerBaazi hosted both its regular ₹5 Lakhs GTD events yesterday. The first of the two, the BSS#3 MonsterStack 6-Max, clocked 215 participants, creating a ₹5.38 Lakhs prize pool. The anonymous user ‘LEGGO’ trumped Rising Star Ritwik ‘Ritwikkhanna’ Khanna (runner-up for ₹88,741) heads-up to claim the title and the top prize of ₹1.26 Lakhs.
