Coming May promises to be one of the hottest ever online, with the largest-ever Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) in history set to unfold on PokerStars, with a schedule of 55 events that will have three different buy-in levels for each event! That’s right; each event will have a low, medium and high buy-in catering to all types of wallets. Buy-ins range from as low as $11 to $215 for the High Rollers.

Starting on May 8 and running until May 22, this year’s SCOOP has rich rewards that amount to more than $40,000,000 in guaranteed prize money. Of this, almost $7,000,000 will be reserved for the three Main Events on May 22 alone!

The champion of the SCOOP High Buy-in Main Event stands to get at least $1,000,000!

The three Main Events will have buy-ins of $100 (low), $1,000 (medium), and $10,000 (high), with guarantees of $1 million, $2 million, and $4 million, respectively.

Winners last year included, “apostolis20″ (low), Tom “tollgate” Grigg (medium), and Mustapha “lasagnaaammm” Kanit (high).

This SCOOP will have several new additions to the series, which will include a progressive super-knockout (buy-ins of $7.50, $82, and $700), an eight-max high roller (buy-ins of $215, $2,100, $21,000), a three-max turbo progressive knockout Zoom (buy-ins of $27, $215, and $2,100), and a mixed-max (buy-ins of $27, $215, and $2,100).

Satellites to the SCOOP are even more attractive starting for as little as $0.11 or 1 StarsCoin, which are already running now.The schedule, will also have special VIP events preceding the run-up to SCOOP.

As always, there will be the SCOOP Player of the Series Leaderboard, which was claimed by PokerStars Team Pro Jason Mercier last year for the overall category.

Players will accumulate points based upon buy-ins, at each level – low, medium and high. Those with the highest points at each level will get a World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) ticket plus $5,000 each, along with trophies. The overall points leader will get $20,000 and a trophy. There are more than $100,000 WCOOP tickets and cash to be grabbed.

Since its inception in 2009, as a 22-event series the SCOOP has expanded on popularity. Some of the past Main Event winners include Ari “BodogAri” Engel (low 2014), JC Alvarado (medium 2009), Ryan “toetagu” Fair (high 2010), Sami “Lrzlzk” Kelopuro (high 2011) and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom (high 2013).

Calvin “cal42688” Anderson holds the record for most SCOOP wins with six titles, one more than Shaun Deeb.
