Once an Asia-centric online poker network, GGPoker has been aggressively spreading its wings globally. The most recent in a long list of partnerships inked by the poker network is with the world-renowned poker training site and community, Pokercode. Moreover, the training site`s co-founder, Fedor Holz, has been roped in as a GGPoker brand ambassador.
The news of this new partnership comes at a time when GGPoker is hosting the biggest online tournament series in poker history, the $100 Million guaranteed WSOP Super Circuit Online Series.
Holz, a German high-stakes poker pro, is widely acknowledged as one of the best online MTT players in the world, with over $55 Million in career winnings to his name. A player who is known for his passion for the game, Holz’s addition to the GGPoker team, should help the company improve its pull among online regs. What’s more, the tie-up will expose the Pokercode community to a much wider audience and, conversely, allow Pokercode players to enjoy exclusive benefits while playing on GGPoker.
Talking about their partnership with Pokercode and bringing Holz onboard, Head of GGPoker, Jean-Christophe Antoine, said, “Pokercode is yet another top brand to add to our list of partners. It’s a pleasure to welcome Fedor Holz onto Team GGPoker. His passion for the game and success both live and online is truly impressive. We couldn’t be happier to welcome Fedor and the entire Pokercode community.”
The announcement confirms the speculations that were doing the rounds since last week when Holz was spotted promoting the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series in a GGPoker video.
In his official statement, Holz said, “We’re thrilled to become a GGPoker partner, particularly at this exciting time, and I’m honored to join Team GGPoker. In addition to the broad suite of poker training our players already have access to, helping them see much greater success at the tables, Pokercode players can now call the best platform in the industry home.”
Holz even tweeted this news.
Going forward myself and @_pokercode will partner with GGPoker. WSOPC series with 100M$ gtd starts today. We will offer a great community, support & promotions. Join us through https://t.co/ap8LSvFz3C

Bringing Holz onboard is among the many moves that GGPoker has recently undertaken to expand its user base and brand presence. While Bryn Kenney was the first big name to endorse the site, GGPoker had brought onboard the six-time bracelet winner and former PokerStars Team Pro Daniel Negreanu last November to endorse its offerings.
With a name like Negreanu on its roster, GGPoker has quickly added other superstars like Felipe Ramos, Bertrand ‘Elky’ Grospellier, and Tennis legend Boris Becker to its roster in just the last few months.
This partnership will get all Pokercode community members’ special offers to play on GGPoker – many of which they can use to play at the ongoing WSOP Super Circuit Online Series.
For starters, GGPoker is offering a Welcome Bonus to all Pokercode players who register on the site using the code ‘pokercode.’ All such players will be automatically enrolled in GGPker’s Fish Buffet loyalty program.
Pokercode will also be running additional promotions for its players in its first month at GGPoker. Moreover, Pokercode coaches’ training material will be shared with the entire player base of GGPoker. There seem to be planning to appoint several community coaches who will be guided by head coaches, namely, Holz, Pokercode co-founder Matthias Eibinger and Simon “IgorKarkarof” Rønnow Pedersen.
Clearly, at a time when online poker is at an all-time high, Pokercode’s strategic partnership with GGPoker looks like a win-win for both sites!
