There’s never a dull moment in poker, particularly with two high-stakes cash game regs going after each other. And Dylan Gang must be bristling right now. Only last week he infamously slow-rolled Garett Adelstein on the Hustler Casino Live stream but it looks like Adelstein has exacted his revenge. The two players clashed once again in a $100/$200/$400 cash game, and this time, Adelstein cornered Gang by winning a massive $390K pot off the former.

In another gossipy update, an FBI agent has pleaded guilty to blowing $13,500 worth of government money on gambling. The incident dates back to 2017, and the officer in question, Scott Carpenter called his gambling spree at a Las Vegas casino a “terrible mistake” and pleaded for probation instead of jail time.

But first, let’s check out what happened at the Hustler Casino Live!

Garrett Adelstein Has the Perfect Response to Dylan Gang’s Slow-Rolling, Wins $390K Pot Off the Latter!

Just a week ago, Dylan Gang infamously slow-rolled Garrett Adelstein, baiting Adelstein to show his worst hand first. While the indecent would have put most players on tilt, Adelstein hardly flinched and went on with the game as usual.

Cut to February 26, the duo sat down in yet again for a $100/$200/$400 cash game at Hustler Casino Live, and guess what?! Adelstein struck back smoothly, winning a massive $390K pot from Gang!

To give you a bit of the background story, last week, Adelstein and Gang were featured in the Hustler Casino Live stream. Gang decided to adopt one of the most annoying techniques in poker – slow-rolling. With the board open, Adelstein bet on the river. Gang raised, putting Adelstein in a spot. Adelstein went deep in the tank and eventually called. Gang reacted by saying “good call,” implying Adelstein had won the hand. Assuming he had won, Adelstein flipped over his hand, but then Gang turned over a superior hand to take down the pot. Such behavior will most certainly tilt a player but Adelstein kept quiet as if nothing had happened, and got back to play.

If he was basking with his victory last week, Gang sure has nothing much to say about the smooth manner in which Garrett upturned the tables on him recently.

The Latest Session

The latest confrontation took place in a $100/$200/$400 NLHE cash game live stream. The action began at 3 PM PT on Day, DATE, and was live-streamed from 5 PM. Adelstein bought in for $100K at the start, and Gang sat with $101K.

Shortly after the action kicked off, Adelstein put in an extra $150K and Gang topped up a bit as well. We were expecting sparks to fly early but Adelstein maintained a stoic silence, just like he had last week, after losing to Gang in the most tilting way possible. Just when we thought the session was turning out to be dull, the excitement moved several notches higher with a confrontation between the two players on the table everyone wanted to see in action.

A few hours into the action, Garrett opened on the button with and Gang three-bet to $6,500 from the big blind holding the . Both saw the flop . Gang aggressively fired a bet of $4.50K. He only had an ace-high and a backdoor flush draw while Adelstein had flopped a pair. Adelstein raised it to $20K. Gang called, and the on the turn gave Adelstein a two-pair. Gang checked and Adelstein then bet $35K. Gang who was chasing a flush then tried a semi-bluff all-in for $167,900.

Adelstein stood up from his seat and asked for a count. Hustler Casino Live co-founder Nick Vertucci commented “Well, boys and girls, this is what we’ve been waiting for!”

With $389,500 already in the pot, Adelstein decided that he had too strong a hand to fold, and called. He said – “There’s nothing to even think about, I have a big hand. I can’t even consider doing anything else, I have a monster.”

The on the river didn’t change a thing.

Gang now said, “I have nothing.” He wasn’t fooling around this time for sure, Adelstein clean-swept the pot. A stunned Gang didn’t have much to say and quickly left the casino!!

After the winning session, Adelstein took to Twitter, acknowledging that it was one of the most brutal stretches of sessions he’s had in 18 years, but it ended up being worth it.

FBI Agent Makes “Terrible Mistake”, Gambles On Govt Money

It’s not surprising to see people lose their control and gamble when they shouldn’t and one such incident has come to light, involving none other than an FBI officer! Scott Carpenter, an FBI agent posted with the agency’s New York has pleaded guilty in the Federal Court last Tuesday, of gambling away government money worth $13,500.

FBI agent

The case dates back to 2017 when Carpenter visited a casino in Las Vegas in connection to an investigation. Between July 27 to July 31 in 2017, Carpenter along with three other FBI agents traveled to Las Vegas for an undercover operation. After the operation was completed, Carpenter went to the casino’s high limit room and gambled on Blackjack for $13,500.

What works in his favor as far as the law is concerned is that Carpenter immediately acknowledged his conduct, reported it to his superiors, sought professional help for his alcohol problem, and made arrangements to repay the FBI.

Carpenter also said that he got carried away, and made the “terrible mistake” of misusing the government money to gamble. While the charge carries a maximum sentence of up to one year of prison, the FBI agent has pleaded guilty and sought a sentence of probation instead of the jail term.

Since Carpenter has accepted responsibility and also holds exemplary service with the FBI and the U.S. Army prosecutors are reported to have recommended probation.
