Have you been missing our updates on interesting stuff that goes around in the gambling and casino world?! We are back with a full platter, bringing you a piping hot pot of juicy stories.
Our dear old Lex ‘RaSZi’ Veldhuis was recently not in the best of health with concerns of heart issues that had devastated his fans. But the Dutch pro has bounced back, and he has lady luck and lady love to credit for his recovery. This will most likely despair his female admirers since Veldhuis is now off the single market and engaged!
However, things don’t seem to be going all too well for MGM Resorts. The casino giant, along with its new partner, American football team, New York Jets were publicly shammed for MGM’s decision to sue victims of last year’s mass shooting at Route 91 Harvest Festival. Reportedly, an airplane flew over the MetLife Stadium with a banner which read, and we quote, “Shame on Jets/MGM. #EndGunViolence#StopMGM.”
Nevertheless, there has been enough debate on the Gun control laws in America and an incident that grabbed our attention was a horrific gun crime that took place over a gambling feud in Memphis, where an 18-year-old was caught after shooting six young men. Four of them survived while two lost their lives.
Go ahead and read it all for yourself…
Dutch professional poker player Lex Veldhuis is all smiles these days, as he recently proposed to his girlfriend and she said “Yes”!

The Twitch regular has been facing health issues recently and even went offline for weeks after he collapsed a night before a Meet and Greet session. After going through extensive medical tests, it came out that the collapse was related to stress and fatigue. He returned to his Twitch channel and streamed on November 13.
Veldhuis kept his followers updated on each step and finally broke the news of his engagement.
I’m sorry guys I have to cancel my meet and greet today. Im fine, don’t worry, but I collapsed on the street yesterday.
At the clinic they checked my vitals and said my heart showed irregularities most likely related to stress and fatigue.
I’m fine now! But need to go home.<3 pic.twitter.com/SzxAbrErCf

Good news from the doctor. No heart issues. Collapse was related to stress and fatigue. Honestly, it’s a bunch of stuff converging that caused it. I’m pretty happy with my current schedule and balance.
I’ve been taking it real easy this week. Hope to stream Sunday <3

I need a couple more days guys, but I can 100% the stream for Tuesday. See you there at 9 AM CEST / 3 AM ET.
— LexVeldhuis (@RaSZi) November 4, 2018
Got a second opinion. None of the necessary tests have been done apparently. Gonna have a full check-up hooked up to a heart monitor this week. Doc ordered me to do nothing till tests were done.
Sorry for saying I’d 100% stream. I really need to have this checked out. <3 pic.twitter.com/mR46uCpHxV

TL;DW: Good news. No heart issues. Extensive testing showed everything is healthy.
Incident almost 100% stress/fatigue related but I didn’t do anything for 2 weeks and I feel readdddyy for the grizzy.

Since Veldhuis has gone ahead and got engaged, he does seem right back on track. All’s well that ends well, we’d say.
On November 11, an airplane circled the New Jersey MetLife Stadium with a banner message for NFL and MGM Resorts before the New York Jets played the Buffalo Bills.
The banner read, “Shame on Jets/MGM. #EndGunViolence #StopMGM,”and criticized the American global hospitality and entertainment company after it sued victims of the horrific mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest festival, which happened last year.
MGM Resorts is taking heat from gun control activists and included several New York including State Senator Jessica Ramos.
New York’s about people and gun control is about keeping people alive. @MGMResortsIntl is unconscionably suing shooting victims and just doesn’t get it, so they’re not welcomed here. #StopMGMhttps://t.co/fPvoYX6mBV

The company issued an official statement saying, “We wholeheartedly agree that our country needs to put an end to gun violence,” while the Jets refused to comment.
