It was a blockbuster Sunday that witnessed two ₹1 Crore GTD tourneys crown champions. Spartan Poker‘s GPS The Millionaire United was taken down by the undisputed annual leaderboard topper Young Gun Gaurav Sood, while Adda52’s Full House Finale found a victor in Akash Gupta. With such massive prize pool guarantees all across, most of the marquees suffered overlays.

Here is a recap of all the exciting action from Sunday!

Spartan Poker

The fourth edition of Spartan Poker’s Grand Poker Series (GPS) that got underway on October 2 has already crowned its first Millionaire! The ₹1 Crore GTD GPS The Millionaire United that had commenced on Gandhi Jayanti as well, pulled in 1,332 entries through three starting flights, ultimately registering a shortfall of ₹6.76 Lakhs. The ‘numero uno’ player on the annual rankings for 21 consecutive weeks, Young Gun Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood, clinched the title and top prize worth ₹17.75 Lakhs! This is his personal-best score on Spartan Poker.

Being the phenomenal player that he is, Sood also final tabled Adda52’s ₹1 Crore GTD Full House Finale, placing seventh for ₹2 Lakhs. His cumulative score for Sunday night stood tall at ₹19.75 Lakhs, helping his cross ₹3.50 Crores in earnings this year.

Sood bested the likes of ‘Shashank2409’ (runner-up for ₹10.30 Lakhs), Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma (3rd for ₹7.25 Lakhs), Yudhisthir Singh ‘Rowdy6’ Rathore (8th for ₹1.70 Lakhs), and Barbarik ‘barbarik12’ Tibrewal (9th for ₹1.31 Lakhs) on the final table, before claiming the top honors.

The ₹40 Lakhs GTD GPS#12 Sunday Superstack came back for another weekly run last night. Pulling in 772 entries, the ₹5,500 entry buy-in event could not avoid the ₹1.40 Lakhs overlay. Well-known reg Vaibhav ‘Nikka Zaildar’ Sharma, who had shipped this very event on September 6, agreed to a heads-up chop with Kunal ‘TiltAtma’ Patni (runner-up for ₹6.24 Lakhs), before walking away with a winner’s paycheque worth ₹6.33 Lakhs.

PokerStars India

The biggest guarantee tourney running on PokerStars India last night was the ₹18 Lakhs GTD Sunday Special Progressive KO. Starting at 5 PM, the tourney managed to draw in 296 contenders by the time late registration was closed, resulting in a ₹3.20 Lakhs shortfall. It took nearly nine hours for the tournament to come to a close, and in the end, it was PokerGuru Ambassador Ratul ‘MuscariAs’ Steves who topped the field and win the ₹2.97 Lakhs up-top. Steves wrestled with ‘7II7II7II’ for the title, and the latter eventually settled for ₹2.05 Lakhs. This was Steven’s biggest score on the PokerStars India platform to date, and he now has ₹2.65 Crores in recorded online winnings.

Young Gun Ujjwal ‘CougarHunter69’ Narwal championed the event for ₹2.57 Lakhs, after agreeing to a three-way deal with PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer ‘ballistik310’ Singh Chadha (runner-up for ₹2.89 Lakhs) and Ayush ‘Kyanaamrakhu’ Garg (3rd for ₹2.38 Lakhs).
