Expectedly, the day’s biggest winner was the champion of the only eight-figure guarantee tournament on the tap, Spartan Poker’s ₹1.50 Crores GTD LEGEND #25 Esteem! October’s FTS #24 Double Stack champion Gursimrann Brar triumphed over the 1,903-entry field to claim his maiden LPS title and a whopping ₹26.06 Lakhs payday!
The NPS 1.0 Main Event winner Mohammad Azhar fell one spot short of the finish line in the LEGEND #25 Esteem, settling for an equally impressive ₹14.52 Lakhs in second place (won ₹16.45 Lakhs overall).
While Brar was the day’s biggest winner, Young Gun Siddhanth Kripalani came close to usurping him from the top spot. Kripalani’s unstoppable form saw him nailing two headline tournaments and making another runner-up finish, coming out with an eye-popping ₹18.93 Lakhs in Sunday winnings! Of his six deep runs, he championed Spartan Poker’s LEGEND #23 Sunday Magnate (₹9.73 Lakhs) and PokerBaazi’s BSS HighRoller (₹4.66 Lakhs) and finished runner-up in LEGEND #24 Deepstack Turbo (for ₹3.18 Lakhs).
Vivek Singh (Won LEGEND #21 Sunday Showdown for ₹8.58 Lakhs), Rising Star Ritwik Khanna (Won LEGEND #24 Deepstack Turbo for ₹5 Lakhs), ‘KAKAROT98$’ (Won LEGEND #18 for ₹3.53 Lakhs), Ganesh Kamat (Won Legend #22 for ₹2.09 Lakhs), ‘iSPEWaLOT’ (Won Legend #20 – Thunder for ₹93,401) and ‘dwanthoery’ (Won LEGEND #19- PLO4 Deepstack for ₹47,036) shipped the other Legend Poker Series titles on Sunday.
Ashutosh Balodhi was among the standout performers as he took down the Adda52 Big Game for a monstrous ₹14.08 Lakhs top prize (won ₹14.80 Lakhs overall).
The upcoming pro Areyann Gurbaxani accumulated ₹8.42 Lakhs in Sunday winnings, most prominently taking down PokerBaazi’s BSS Championship for a career-best ₹8 Lakhs.
Gautam Kaul came out on top in PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack to collect ₹4.51 Lakhs (won ₹6.08 Lakhs overall), while Akshat Sharma came second for ₹2.68 Lakhs (won ₹6.55 Lakhs overall).
Young Gun Anmol Mehta surged through the competition in Adda52’s Nano Highroller to claim his second major flagship title of November for ₹2.78 Lakhs (won ₹3.82 Lakhs overall). A heads-up chop saw Anurag Srivastava pocket ₹2.04 Lakhs in second place (won ₹4.65 Lakhs overall).
Adda52’s Big Millions champion Avinash Koneru took down the Nano Main Event for ₹3.24 Lakhs, ending an over a month-long title drought. He chopped the NPS showstopper three-way with Kritarth Pant (2nd for personal-best ₹3.04 Lakhs) and Sethuram Kannan (3rd for ₹2.95 Lakhs).
Young Gun Karan Radia conquered PokerStars India’s Sunday Special PKO for at least the second time last night, banking ₹3.48 Lakhs.
