According to the data provided by the Union Health Ministry, India reported 1,00,636 fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday, the lowest in 61 days, taking the infection tally to 2,89,09,975. Simultaneously, the number of active cases dropped to 14,01,609. It looks like we have managed to see through the peak of the second wave. On the other hand, online poker is still hitting the highs, and there are three online MTT stops currently underway across different sites.
Spartan Poker, like last week, ran two Monday flagships last night, and The Big Deal was the biggest guaranteed event on offer. As expected, the eventual champion, Rajeev Kumar, was also the day’s biggest winner. Kumar triumphed over Harshad Barve (runner-up for ₹5.84 Lakhs) to walk away with a ₹8.65 Lakhs paycheque.
Peter Nazareth won his second ReCharge title for a cool ₹2.19 Lakhs.
The ranked #1 player of 2020, Young Gun Gaurav Sood, had an eventful start to the week with ₹2.07 Lakhs in cumulative earnings from three deep runs.
Advait Rajguru took down PokerBaazi’s The Big Show for ₹1.92 Lakhs, and Aditya Kulkarni placed runner-up for ₹1.34 Lakhs.
Kunal Patni claimed his fourth title of the month after winning PokerStars India’s Battle Royale for ₹1.14 Lakhs. This was his second time winning the Battle Royale in three days.
