The APT Cebu 2015 PHP 50,000 Main Event concluded yesterday, at the All In Poker Club, Cebu, Philippines.
Norway’s Henrik Tollefson (cover image) created history, by bagging his second APT title in this Main Event and taking home the top prize of PHP 1,717,100 for his win.
The series began on Aug 11 and ends today, with the last two events – The 6-Handed Turbo and the Deepstack Turbo 3.
Three-time APT Player of the Year, Sam Razavi, was strongly visible at the series and won the Ante Up for Charity event.
The Main Event had two entry-flight days and 160 players signed up, creating a prize pool of prize pool of PHP 7.139M.
Heads up play began with Tollefson having a 2.5-to-1-chip lead over his opponent, Swedish Roger Spets.
In the final hand, Tollefson had against Spets’ . The board sent out declaring Tollefson the champion and Spets settled for a 2nd place with PHP 1,173,900.
When asked about this second title, Tollefson replied, “I think that’s really fine. I thought someone else have won two already. So yeah, I am very happy about that.”
Tollefson had taken his first title in the APT Macau 2013 Main event.
