The much-awaited ₹60K Main Event of the IPC Megastacks commenced on May 20. The series showstopper clocked in 334 entries across two flights, leading to a guarantee-crushing ₹2,00,40,000 prize pool. A total of 98 players made it through to Day 2 (Day 1A – 53 & Day 1B – 45).
Day 1B chip leader, Sukhjit Singh (408,000), commands the overall chip lead heading into Day 2. The ₹25K Kick-Off champion Mahesh Shyamsundar (405,500) and India’s first WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant (398,000) carry the following top stacks.
Day 1A, which ran parallel to Day 2 of the ₹100K High Roller, had amassed 170 entries. The ₹25K Kick-Off sixth-place finisher, Kumar Vatsal, emerged as the end-of-day chip leader with a stack of 319,000, with Young Gun Kanchan Sharma (318,000) a close second in chips.
Day 1B kicked off at 4 PM on May 21, and by the time late registrations closed, the flight had locked in 164 entries. The clock was paused with 15 minutes remaining to Level 12, as done on Day 1A.
Some notable names who bagged stacks for Day 2 include Armaan Kochhar (318,000), Vishal Ojha (284,000), Avneesh Munjal (255,000), PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish Munot (253,000), Young Gun Sanat Mehrotra (243,000), Vikaash Shah (235,500), PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun Mahesh (231,500), celebrity poker player Minissha Lamba (211,500) and Siddarth Singhvi (201,000)
The 98 survivors will now return for Day 2 on May 22 at 1 PM and continue from the remaining 15 minutes of Level 12 with blinds at 1,500/2,500 and a running ante of 2,500. From Level 13, the levels will become 50 minutes long, with Day 2 playing through Level 25.
