Ohio player Jake Bazeley (cover image) was the victor of the 2015 Seminole Hard Rock Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open Championship Event for $568,687, which is also the highest score of his career so far. With this win, Bazeley now has more than $3.15 Million in career tournament earnings.

The $3,500 buy-in event drew 766 entries and created an overlay of almost half a million dollars, leading to a prize pool of $2 million.

Bazeley overcame that field, and finally beat a tough final table filled with notables, such as Florida’s David Prociak, who made second place, besides Jessica Dawley, Marvin Rettenmaier, and Matt Stout. Indian player Nipun Java was among these and made a seventh place finish for $88,243.

Bazeley made his first cash a long while ago in 2008, and this big win comes after a plateau phase in his poker career. The pro spoke to SHRPO.com stating that “I think there’s something to be said for the luck factor of winning one (big tournament). I think the second one kind of gives you a little more respect. I know everyone around me respects me, but you get some titles, you get a little bit more love, you know? It’s just a little bit nicer.” He added.

Heads up play saw Bazeley face Prociak and speaking about that face off, Bazeley said, “That was definitely a made-for-TV heads-up. It seemed like we got it all in six or seven times, and the short stack always won. It was just one of those crazy things.”

The fateful hand that got Bazeley the championship saw him move all-in from the button, when the blinds were 300,000/600,000/100,000.

Prociak called with the , and Bazeley tabled . The board delivered and Bazeley was declared the winner. Prociak settled for second place with a consolation of $330,912.

Congratulations to Jake Bazeley on winning the Seminole Hard Rock Rock n Roll Open Championship!
