Juggernaut Productions Secures Rights to Life of Poker Diva Muskan Sethi For Upcoming Series

Prepare to be captivated by the life of PokerBaazi Team Pro Muskan Sethi as Juggernaut Productions, an OTT and web series production studio based in Mumbai launched by the IN10 Media Network, is planning to make an engaging new series based on her journey as India`s first female professional poker player!

Speaking on the news, Sethi was quoted saying, “I believe it’s important to tell and hear each other’s stories. I hope to debunk myths around poker. It would be a dream come true if poker players attain the support and training to put India on the map. After all, this is the land of great mathematicians and inventors.”

Juggernaut Productions CEO Samar Khan sounded equally enthusiastic about Sethi`s story. “For us, Muskan’s story has immense merit, and through this endeavor, we hope to break the notions about the game. It is a sport and not just a game of luck. We are happy that Muskan has joined hands with us for the same,” he said.

Sethi was introduced to poker at 11 by her father, an avid viewer of the game. What started as a hobby soon became a full-fledged career for her. A Delhi native, Sethi first gained notoriety for her appearance on the PokerStars Shark Cage TV show in 2014.

Since then, her life has been on an upward trajectory of success and recognition. She has also been recognized with a ‘First Women Achievers’ Award by the former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. With $112,378 in live tournament earnings, Sethi’s success story has inspired many upcoming players.

In 2019, she was appointed as the Responsible Gaming Ambassador for the All India Gaming Federation (AIGF). As a fierce competitor and inspiring role model, Sethi embodies the qualities of a modern-age woman.

Sethi’s career in poker reached a new milestone in 2018 when she became the first female Indian poker player to sign on as a PokerStars brand ambassador. However, the partnership ended in 2021. Last November, Sethi and Abhishek Goindi, a poker pro and coach, joined forces with PokerBaazi becoming their newest poker ambassadors.

To encourage those charting a non-traditional career path, the poker star will be featured in an upcoming series exploring her journey of becoming a trailblazer in a male-dominated sport.

The production house, Juggernaut Productions, is owned by IN10 Media Network, which has been looking into increasing its presence in the burgeoning Indian OTT scene. So, the chances of Sethi’s series getting an OTT release is entirely possible.

IN10 Media Network, co-promoted by Anand Mahindra and the Pittie Group, is set to expand its entertainment offerings in 2023 with plans to venture into theatrical film production and original content for its streaming platforms, EPIC ON and DocuBay.

EPIC ON primarily focuses on catch-up television programming from the company’s EPIC broadcast network, and DocuBay is centered on English-language documentaries from around the world. The company aims to diversify its content portfolio and provide viewers with a more engaging and diverse entertainment experience.

In addition, the network that owns TV channels such as EPIC, Ishaara, and Filamchi is exploring opportunities to add or acquire more channels and expand in genres where it excels.

To boost its film business, IN10 Media Network hired Vivek Krishnani, former managing director at Sony Pictures Films India, as its CEO last year. The upcoming films will span various genres, including action, thrillers, horror, and comedy. While casting decisions have yet to be finalized, the company is open to working with mainstream stars if the project’s economics permit it. With these ambitious plans, IN10 Media Network is positioning itself as a significant player in India’s entertainment industry.
