The partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK Finale that featured a £550 buy-in, culminated on Monday, with Konstantinos Nanos (cover image) walking away with the winner’s cheque of £84,014. Nanos outlasted a field of 871 entrants and is the second player from Greece to claim a title at the series, after his compatriot Ioannis Angelour-Konstas won the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK Main Event title.

Ranked sixth on Greece`s All Time Money List, Nanos has approximately $1,200,000 in total live earnings. Nanos dominated the action on Day 2 and eliminated both Fredrik Bergmann and Tamer Kamel in separate hands near the money bubble to become the chip leader. He lost some chips along his way to the final table, but played aggressively thereafter, orchestrating the eliminations of Richard Barr, Mauricio Pais, and eventually defeated Pim de Goede in the heads-up play following a heads-up deal to lift the title.

With 107 places assured payouts, many notables finished in the money including Martin Dzurenda (8th for £6,500), Colin McTaggart (10th for £4,000), Simon Brooks (14th for £3,500), Luigi Knoppers (21st for £3,000), Chris Da-Silva (29th for £2,750), Indian origin player Kuljinder Sidhu (42nd for £2,500) and Arron Fletcher (74th for £1,750).

2. Richard Barr – 145,000,000

3. Pim de Goede – 135,000,000

4. Konstantinos Nanos – 125,000,000

5. James Golder – 90,000,000

6. Garinder Purewal – 90,000,000

7. Catalin Dumitrascu – 75,000,000

Following Indian origin player Garinder Purewal‘s seventh place elimination (£9,000 – ~₹8,71,420) at the hands of Mauricio Pais, the six-handed final table convened.

Final Table Recap

A couple of hands into the final table, Catalin Dumitrascu jammed from under-the-gun holding card 3card 3 and Pim de Goede called from the cutoff with card 1card 2. The runout card 1card 2card 2card 3card 3 missed both players and Dumitrascu was railed in sixth place.

After the players returned from a 15-minute break, Richard Barr shoved all-in for 33 Million from the cutoff and Konstantinos Nanos tanked for a while before making the call from the big blind. Nanos tabled card 3card 1 against Barr’s pocket rockets. The board revealed card 3card 1card 3card 2card 3 and Nanos rivered a runner-runner straight to steal the pot from Barr who was forced out in fifth place.

About an hour later, Pim de Goede went all-in from small blind and was called by James Golder in the big blind.

The community cards brought card 2card 1card 3card 1card 1 and De Goede hit a straight on the river that sent Golder packing in fourth place.

Soon thereafter, Nanos moved all-in from the small blind with card 3card 2 and Mauricio Pais called from the big blind holding card 1card 3. With the rundown showing card 3card 3card 1card 2card 1, Nanos found a jack on the board and his higher pair busted Pais in third place.

Pim de Goede started the heads-up battle with 475,000,000 in chips against Konstantinos Nanos`s 400,000,000. Both players agreed to a heads-up deal with De Goede receiving £70,485.80, while Nanos took away £69,014.92. With £15,000 and the trophy left in play, the action resumed.

Immediately after the play re-started, Nanos won a big pot and took the chip lead from De Goede. On the final hand of the event, Nanos called from the button and De Goede jammed from big blind for 120 Million. Nanos called with card 1card 1 and De Goede tabled card 3card 1. The board ran card 2card 3card 1card 3card 3 and Nanos won the trophy and top prize of £84,014 with his ace-high kicker.
