Kunal ‘Kvohra’ Vohra Takes Down PokerBaazi’s PPL#20 HighRoller For ₹12.65 Lakhs

The PokerBaazi Premier League (PPL) Winter’18 Edition was off with a bang on December 10 and with four days of the tournament series already in the books, the exhilarating action keeps getting better!

On the heels of Akash ‘akash_durr’ Gupta‘s dazzling run in the PPL #9 ₹5,500 NLHE Endeavour ₹30 Lakhs GTD, it was Kunal ‘Kvohra’ Vohra‘s (cover image) turn to impress, and impress he did with his awe-inspiring performance in the PPL#20 – HighRoller 6-Max ₹50 Lakhs GTD. The event pulled in a total of 250 entries (156 unique and 94 re-entries) and smashed its guarantee with a total prize pool collection of ₹62.50 Lakhs. It was a stacked final table that saw the likes of Shivam ‘champhiyan’ Shukla (3^rd for ₹7.18 Lakhs), Nishaanth ‘shanni’ Shanmughasundaram (4^th for ₹5.31 Lakhs) and Chiraag ‘Versutus’ Patel (8^th for ₹1.71 Lakhs) in the compeitive race to win the title, but Vohra trumped them all to reach the heads-up stage with this year`s WSOP Main Event star Nishant ‘nishant177’ Sharma. Vohra held his nerve to get over his final obstacle and bagged ₹12.65 Lakhs in the first-place prize money, while Sharma was relegated to the runner-up spot for ₹9.53 Lakhs.

Parikshit ‘zapdos1234’ Dhall came up against Rajat ‘LungFakeer’ Sharma (runner-up for ₹5.15 Lakhs) in PPL#19 – The Summit MonsterStack ₹30 Lakhs GTD and eventually emerged victorious to take home a₹6.99 Lakhs payday. Young Gun Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot finished sixth in the event for ₹1.56 Lakhs.

Sajal ‘bloodless’ Gupta had several deep runs on Day 4 of the PPL. Not only did he ship the PPL#14 The Vegas ₹30 Lakhs GTD for ₹6.59 Lakhs, but he also final tabled PPL#16 – DST ₹5 Lakhs GTD where he finished fourth for ₹49,200.

Other big winners at the series include Phanindra ‘Phanindra’ Akkina (PPL#13 PLO HighRoller ₹25 Lakhs GTD for ₹5.88 Lakhs), Imdad ‘rahuljohn1983’ Ahmed (PPL#12 6-Max SuperStack ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.32 Lakhs) and Siddhanth ‘Bullzeye’ Kapoor (PPL#16 – DST ₹5 Lakhs GTD for ₹1.19 Lakhs).
