Yes, folks! The final Sunday of the year is now in the books. While the MTT players are all eagerly waiting for the 12th edition of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) to commence, let`s take a look at Sunday`s top winners!
The day’s biggest winner turned out to be PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh, who shipped Adda52’s Roller Coaster for an impressive ₹5.95 Lakhs. This was the former IOPC The Crown winner’s third title win of December.
The four-time Destiny champion Nitin Arora emerged victorious in Spartan Poker’s Sunday Superstack, locking in a ₹5.89 Lakhs payday. He scored in three more events yesterday, resulting in ₹6.36 Lakhs in cumulative earnings.
The former Grand Mega Suits winner Shagun Jain won Adda52’s Carousel for ₹4.47 Lakhs, while seasoned pro Jasven Saigal came second for ₹2.71 Lakhs.
PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit Wadhawan took down PokerStars India`s Sunday Special PKO for ₹3.42 Lakhs. Meanwhile, the winningest player in the country, Young Gun Gaurav Sood, was the last player standing in the Sunday Highroller for ₹2.39 Lakhs.
Aikansh Ghusinga, Raghav Ananth, Kritika Sharma, Adarsh Subham, Rising Star Pratibh Saluja, Gopal Bajaj, Rachit Soni, Partho Datta, and Tejas Kadam were the other noteworthy Sunday winners.

With the Winter Celebrations Series (WCS) now in the books and the 12th Edition of the IOPC yet to begin, the last few days of the year are going to be filled by the regular MTTs on Spartan Poker.
Headlining the action on a lazy Sunday was the ₹30 Lakhs GTD Sunday Superstack (IOPC Bubble) that registered 330 entries, posting a ₹33 Lakhs prize pool. The four-time Destiny champion Nitin ‘Demogorgon’ Arora topped the field to claim the ₹5.89 Lakhs top prize, while Harsh ‘aaja maal phuka’ Dembla secured the runner-up payout worth ₹5.78 Lakhs, following a heads-up chop.

Raghav ‘Mr. Bean’ Ananth raced past the 799-entry field in the ₹6 Lakhs GTD Money Heist to clinch the lion’s share of the ₹6.28 Lakhs prize pool worth ₹1.21 Lakhs. ‘Shinu22’ finished runner-up for ₹77,256.
Raghav Ananth raked in ₹1.41 Lakhs overall last night on the back of three cashes. His ITM finishes include:

PokerBaazi’s Sunday headliner, the ₹20 Lakhs GTD BSS SuperStack, logged in a 390-entry field, experiencing an overlay shortfall worth ₹50,000. The online reg ‘bencb789’ (anonymity requested) championed the event for the second time this year for ₹4.20 Lakhs beating Yash ‘Riraizer’ Chitre (2nd for ₹2.94 Lakhs) in heads-up play. They had won the BSS SuperStack event for the first time in October for ₹3.29 Lakhs.

PokerGuru Ambassador Ankit ‘b00mtr00p3r’ Wadhawan was the last player standing in PokerStars India’s ₹15 Lakhs GTD Sunday Special – Progressive KO and banked a winner’s paycheque worth ₹3.42 Lakhs.
This was Anikit Wadhwan’s 14th title win of 2021, and he ended up netting ₹4.86 Lakhs in Sunday earnings on the back of four ITM finishes.

Young Gun Gaurav ‘3betPanda’ Sood, the winningest player of the year, is hell-bent on not giving anyone room to overtake him in the annual rankings. He took down the Sunday Highroller for an incredible fourth time this year, scoring ₹2.39 Lakhs.

Adda52 flagged off the New Year Carnival yesterday, guaranteeing ₹1.68 Crores in winnings with free Goa packages as an added attraction. Day 1 saw three feature tourneys run course, and the biggest draw was the ₹20 Lakhs GTD Roller Coaster. The ₹10,999 buy-in event drew 214 players to generate a ₹21.40 Lakhs prize pool. Making his way to the top following nine hours of play was the #3 ranked player of the year, PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh. The 25-year-old MTT pro took down the event for ₹5.95 Lakhs after beating ‘Chidu’ (2nd for ₹3.48 Lakhs) heads-up.

Gautam ‘passthechips’ Sethi (3rd for ₹2.64 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh ‘arjan30’ Chadha (4th for ₹1.93 Lakhs), Kunal ‘FloatToMyBoat’ Patni (5th for ₹1.34 Lakhs) and Chandan ‘darkfish15’ Arora (6th for ₹92,020) were others who FT-ed the 6-max event.
The ₹17.50 Lakh GTD Carousel brought in 397 players, and with each of them ponying up ₹4,999, a ₹18.04 Lakhs prize pool was collected. The top 43 finishers got paid, and in the end, it was the former Game Changer 2.0 and The Millionaire champion Shagun ‘sogani94’ Jain who claimed the bragging rights and the top prize of ₹4.47 Lakhs. Industry veteran Jasven ‘bajateraho’ Saigal finished runner-up for ₹2.71 Lakhs.
Shagun Jain cashed another three events, including a third-place finish in the Sunday Highroller, adding over ₹6.04 Lakhs cumulatively.
His top finishes include:

The third marquee, the ₹7.50 Lakhs GTD Gravitron, was championed by ‘Denny18’ who bested the 395-strong player field, including the former Full House Finale champion Md ‘007ShAkuNi’ Zeeshan (2nd for ₹1.27 Lakhs) heads-up to grab the winner’s payday of ₹1.72 Lakhs. The ₹2,499 buy-in tourney also rode past the listed guarantee to collect ₹8.97 Lakhs in the prize pool.
Rising Star Pratibh ‘MrGTO’ Saluja (Won Ultimate DST ₹1.50 Lakhs GTD for ₹32,600), Rachit ‘baba_ramdev’ Soni (Won Sunday Night PLO ₹1 Lakh GTD for ₹24,341) and ‘turtle99’ (Won Holdem 250 for ₹6,493) were among the other Sunday winners on Adda52.
Khelo365 user ‘Jaydeep777’ was the last player standing in the site`s Sunday showstopper, the ₹1 Lakh GTD, Big Bang, and bagged ₹37,000 in first-place prize money. ‘Redjohn’ finished runner-up for ₹22,000).
The 50K GTD Dominator was championed by site regular ‘gangol’ for ₹15,000. ‘Aftab2613’ came second for ₹10,000.
