The first week of the ongoing IOPC July Edition is now in the books, and the series had eight events running on Sunday, and seven of them played down to a champion.

PokerGuru Ambassadors were a dominating force, with three of them winning Sunday flagship titles.

This weekend’s biggest draw was the second of the six IOPC marquee tourneys, the ₹1.50 Crore GTD IOPC United. The flagship event played down to the eight-handed final table last night, with PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal Bajaj (7,409,680) grabbing the final table chip lead. The FT commences at 5 PM today.

The biggest guaranteed event to play down to a champion last night was the IOPC#46 Sunday Prime. PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh Pal Singh walked away with the title and a ₹8.55 Lakhs payday after chopping the title heads-up with Mohit Bhati (runner-up for ₹8.21 Lakhs). Singh added ₹11.08 Lakhs in Sunday winnings on the back of seven ITM finishes.

Coming back to Vishak Bajaj, the PokerGuru Staking team member was in spectacular form last night. He not only bagged the chip lead on the IOPC United final table but also took down Adda52’s Deepstack Madness and placed fourth in PokerBaazi’s BSS#4 SuperStack, pocketing ₹6.70 Lakhs overall. He will be the player to watch out for on the IOPC United FT today.

Sachin Hurkat championed the Adda52 Millions for ₹5.45 Lakhs, following a heads-up deal with Anish Garg (runner-up for ₹5.41 Lakhs).

The third PokerGuru Staking member to make it to the Sunday winner’s list was Ashish Munot, who took down PokerBaazi’s BSS#4 SuperStack for ₹4.42 Lakhs.

The former IOPC leaderboard topper Bhanu Prakash KC made his way back at the top of the leaderboard standings after winning the IOPC D’Lite for ₹4.06 Lakhs.

Ashwin Vijay, Vikram Mishra, Abhiroop Gupta, Avinash Kumar, Anirudh Reddy, Sacheen Ramchandani, Sandeep Varma, Lavesh Meena, and Adarsh Subha were the other big Sunday winners!

Spartan Poker

The second marquee event of the ongoing IOPC July edition, the ₹1.50 Crore GTD IOPC United, played down to its eight-handed final table on Sunday night. The 5,500 entry buy-in tourney registered 3,067 entries, collecting a whopping ₹1.53 Crores prize pool. Day 2 began with 389 survivors (273 unique), and only the top 382 were to get paid. Goonjan ‘gmtesting’ Mall bubbled the final table, finishing ninth for ₹1.91 Lakhs.

The Deepstack Madness champion, PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal ‘CrownUpJr’ Bajaj (7,409,680) bagged the end-of-Day 2 chip lead, with Young Gun Gaurav ‘mozzie17’ Sood (7,250,367), Suraj ‘GotNoChange31’ Todi (4,038,192), Piyush ‘jacks_apart’ Jain (3,340,244), Amit ‘DoctorGTO’ Ajwani (3,154,608), Sreekanth ‘GL1DE’ Narayan (2,544,162), Usman ‘Witty.White’ Alam (1,961,793), and IOPC#45 Omaha 6 Cards winner Neeraj ‘Jannat52’ Kumar (970,954), the other finalists in contention.

All eight players will return at 5 PM today to play down to a champion. The IOPC United final table will be live-streamed across several social media platforms, including PokerGuru’s Facebook page

The day’s biggest winner emerged in the ₹50 Lakhs GTD IOPC#46 Sunday Prime. The former IOPC The Crown champion PokerGuru Ambassador Laksh ‘LuckyBhai$’ Pal Singh trounced a 1,098-entry field to clinch the lion’s share of the ₹54.90 Lakhs prize pool worth ₹8.55 Lakhs following a heads-up chop with the mystery user ‘jacktheripper’ (runner-up for ₹8.21 Lakhs).

This was Laksh Pal Singh’s first title victory in over a month, with his previous win coming in PokerStars India’s Summer Series – 126 The Big Crunch on June 13. Singh picked up a total of seven ITM finishes last night, raking in ₹11.08 Lakhs. His Sunday run catapulted him to #2 on the annual rankings above Young Gun Gaurav Sood. However, with Sood on the IOPC United FT, a deep run by the latter could get him back on top.

The former IOPC Leaderboard topper defeated the former IOPC – The Elite winner Bheem ‘MaiMeel’ Singh Meena (runner-up for ₹2.20 Lakhs) heads-up, moving back on top of the IOPC leaderboard standings. Bhanu Prakash KC also FT-ed IOPC#50, placing sixth for ₹35,701.

The ₹17.50 Lakhs GTD IOPC#47 Sunday Spotlight ran from 9:30 PM to 5:50 AM and logged in 670 participants, posting a guarantee-smashing ₹20.10 Lakhs prize pool. M. ‘LACHANCE’ Balakrishnan was the last player standing and won ₹3.90 Lakhs. He also placed eighth in the IOPC #44 for ₹18,048 and boasts ₹12.77 Lakhs in site-cashes (₹5.12 Lakhs in net profits).

With Day 8 of the IOPC now in the books, the leaderboard standings underwent some changes. Bhanu ‘spectre’ Prakash KC`s IOPC#48 D’Lite victory has pushed him to the top of the standings with 7,601 points. Young Gun Anuj ‘tittoo Tauji’ Yadav sits at #2 with 7,035 points, while Abhijeet ‘TheSupremeone’ Kumar rounds out the top three ranks with 5,740 points.

Headlining the six-event schedule was the ₹20 Lakhs GTD BSS#4 SuperStack that wrangled in 440 participants, posting a ₹22 Lakhs prize pool. PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘OMG_spew’ Munot championed the event to win ₹4.42 Lakhs after besting Ankit ‘Ankitmodi’ Modi (runner-up for ₹3.10 Lakhs) heads-up.

Avinash ‘i_fart_you_faint’ Kumar was the last player standing and won ₹1.68 Lakhs, just as ‘royalking7424’ placed second for ₹1.18 Lakhs.

The ₹5 Lakhs GTD BSS#3 MonsterStack 6-Max ran from 5 PM to 9:38 PM, gathering 200 entries, just about hitting the break-even mark. Dinesh ‘Daddu26’ Singh championed the event for ₹1.05 Lakhs, while PokerGuru Ambassador Tathagata Tintin84′ Sengupta placed runner-up for ₹99,986. Vikram ‘GreenSTUFF79’ Mishra raced past the competition and toppled PokerStars India’s “Star of the Month” – February, Armaan ‘armaan007111’ Kochhar heads-up to collect a winner’s paycheque worth ₹2.73 Lakhs (includes ₹1.27 Lakhs in bounties).

Shortly after bagging the final table chip lead in the biggest event of the weekend, the IOPC United, he took down Adda52’s ₹20 Lakhs GTD Deepstack Madness for an impressive ₹4.96 Lakhs. The former Maverick champion Debapriya ‘debapriya_12345’ Manna finished runner-up for ₹3 Lakhs. The 4,400 entry buy-in event recorded 429 entries, overlaying ₹2.84 Lakhs.

Day 2 began with 175 unique survivors, with only the top 125 runners assured payouts.

The ₹10 Lakhs GTD Sunday Showdown pulled in 361 entries, just about surpassing its listed guarantee. Sandeep ‘effuno’ Varma was the last player standing after over seven hours of play and won ₹1.43 Lakhs. Sahil ‘you3bi4b’ Nair placed runner-up for ₹1.35 Lakhs.
