Lante Zhang Wins ACOP Platinum Series XI Main Event For HK $251,900

ACOP Platinum Series XI, the penultimate event of this year to be held at PokerStars LIVE Macau completed its sojourn on Oct 11. The series began on Oct 6 with a schedule of six events including the HK $5,500 Main Event. The last day of the series played out Event 5 – HK $10,000 NLH and Event 6 – HK $2,500 KO Bounty, besides witnessing the finale of the HK $5,500 Main Event.

China’s Lante Zhang was the ultimate champion in the Main Event and collected the top prize of HK $251,900. KC Wong took his second ACOP title, by winning the KO Bounty event besides winning the PLO event earlier, while China’s Liang Xu claimed the NLH event.

Main Event Recap

229 players registered for the Main Event, which had a guarantee of HK $500,000. Langte Zhang won the event for HK $251,900, after two days of play in a field that included several notables.

Heads up play with opponent Zongxin Liu lasted a full 90 minutes, before Zhang took down the title. The final hand saw Liu move all-in for 575K chips and Zhang, with 1.135M called.
