Macau Poker Cup (MPC) 23 continues its onward march and all the attention is being dominated by the Red Dragon Main Event, which has now reached the final table. Taiwan`s Tse Jui Tsai is leading the final nine with play scheduled to play down to a winner today. The two remaining Indian`s on Day 2 – Nikhil Maheswari and Devang Shah were eliminated in 15th and 44th places respectively on Day 3.
With just two more days left for the series to end, the majority of the Indian contingent has headed back home, but a few players remain.
Dhaval Mudgal and Kunal Patni, who have both had a great series so far, are among those still in Macau and they continue making inroads at the current Event 13 – $20,000 NLH (3-day event).
India’s final hopes for the prestigious Red Dragon trophy ended on Day 3, when Nikhil Maheswari and Devang Shah were both eliminated.
According to the PokerStars Blog live coverage, “Maheswari busted after just jamming all in from under the gun. Jiwan Park in the cut off, moved all in over the top and with everyone else out of the way, they turned up their hands.

Maheswari needed help, but none came on the runout.”
Park moved up to 850,000 and Maheswari was busted at 15th place for HK $93,000.
Devang Shah made an earlier, 44th place finish for HK $37,200.
Day 3 of Main Event began with 48 players taking their seats and nine players remain in contention for the MPC23 Red Dragon title. These nine are assured a min of HK $166,500.
Taiwan`s Tse Jui Tsai leads the final nine with 2,495,000 in chips. Interestingly, Tsai is the only player at the final table who does not hail from mainland China. If Tsai manages to overcome the odds he will be the fifth Red Dragon champion from Taiwan, while any other victor will make it the eighth title for a player from mainland China.
