Sunday was expectedly action-packed, with the third edition of the Final Table Series (FTS) now underway on Spartan Poker. PokerGuru Ambassadors dominated much of the action by winning four marquees and posting numerous FT finishes.
One of the biggest attractions of Sunday was the live-streamed final table of FTS#5 Saturday Special on Spartan Poker. The stacked final table featured well-known names from the domestic circuit, and Manash Kalita topped them all to collect ₹7.79 Lakhs. PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun Mahesh placed second for ₹4.95 Lakhs.
Stablemates Ashutosh Balodhi and Ratul Steves were both top contenders in Adda52’s Mega Suits. The duo chopped the event with Balodhi walking away with the title for ₹5.02 Lakhs. Steves collected ₹4.73 Lakhs in second place.
Similarly, Kartik Ved and Laksh Pal Singh were fighting over the BSS SuperStack title on PokerBaazi. Ved won the event for ₹3.93 Lakhs, and Singh banked ₹3.21 Lakhs for his runner-up finish, courtesy of a heads-up deal.
Arjanveer Singh Chadha (Won FTS#9 for ₹2.37 Lakhs) and Shashank Desai (Won FTS#7 for ₹1.69 Lakhs) were the other two PokerGuru Ambassadors who took down Sunday titles.
In the PokerStars India flagships, Vaibhav Sharma won the Sunday Special Progressive KO for ₹3.70 Lakhs, and Goonjan Mall took down the Sunday Highroller for ₹3.28 Lakhs.
M Balakrishnan, Raghav Ananth, Ashok Choudhary, Mohsin Shaikh, Deepak Singh, Prabhat Kumar, Amit Kumar Singh, Sandeep Varma, Umesh Sharma, Rahul Thakur, Shagun Jain, Tarush Gupta, and Yash Chitre shipped the other Sunday marquees!

Spartan Poker
Day 3 of the FTS 3.0 had four events on the tap running alongside the live-streamed FT of the FTS#5 Saturday Special.
The ₹1 Crore GTD FTS – The Feast ran its third starting flight, and Day 1C registered 335 entries. Only 42 players survived the day’s onslaught. Ashwin ‘A116’ Vijay (175,224), Dhinesh ‘kendralust’ Kumar (169,090), and ‘CultOfPersonality’ (145,218) topped the day-end chip counts.
Another big draw, the ₹60 Lakhs GTD FTS#8 Sunday Special, locked in 594 entries, overlaying ₹60,000. Like the last two FTS flagships, the gameplay was paused with the formation of the eight-handed final table. Headlining the action today will be Piyush ‘jacks_apart’ Jain (2,525,354), who returns with the start-of-final table chip lead. Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma (1,882,520) and ‘THENERDGUY’ (1,696,182) carried forward the next two big stacks.
However, even before the Sunday Special started, the ₹40 Lakhs GTD FTS#5 Saturday Special had declared a champion. The former UVS Main Event champion Manash ‘Silver555’ Kalita was the last player standing and won ₹7.79 Lakhs! PokerGuru Ambassador Mithun ‘Zima Blue’ Mahesh chasing his first FTS title, finished runner-up for ₹4.95 Lakhs.
The ₹7,700 entry buy-in event registered 498 entries, filling in ₹5.14 Lakhs in overlays. Young Gun Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover bagged the Day 1 chip lead.
The first-ever NPS Main Event champion Mohammad ‘Cupid stunt’ Azhar was the first to be eliminated on Day 2 in eighth place for ₹97,600. Young Gun Sahil ‘$lim$hady19’ Chutani (7th for ₹1.32 Lakhs), PokerGuru Ambassador Akshay ‘AustralianAccountant’ Kapoor (6th for ₹1.80 Lakhs), Rahul ‘sttoned’ Kumar (5th for ₹2.36 Lakhs), Young Gun Karan ‘Majestic’ Radia (4th for ₹3 Lakhs), and Arsh Grover (3rd for ₹3.71 Lakhs) banked the other FT payouts.

Joining Ashutosh Balodhi and Kartik Ved on the list of Sunday winners were two more PokerGuru Ambassadors, Arjanveer ‘bazzingaa’ Singh Chadha and Shashank ‘reconnecting’ Desai.
Arjanveer Singh Chadha trounced an 825-entry field in the ₹12 Lakhs GTD FTS#9 to win ₹2.37 Lakhs. He scored in a total of four events yesterday, raking in ₹2.69 Lakhs cumulatively.

Like most flagships yesterday, PokerBaazi`s ₹20 Lakhs GTD BSS SuperStack had PokerGuru Ambassador’s gunning for the title and not but two of them – Kartik ‘TheInternetKid’ Ved and Laksh ‘boomtlt23’ Pal Singh were the last two players standing. The teammates chopped the title with bracelet winner Kartik Ved clinching his second BSS SuperStack title for ₹3.93 Lakhs. Kartik Ved had previously won the event on August 18 for ₹5.54 Lakhs.

September is an awesome month for the small to mid-stakes players on PokerBaazi. And Sunday marked the start of the site`s biggest IMPS ever, the ₹3 Crores GTD IMPS Gold Editon, with eight events running.

Fresh from a breakout run in August, Vaibhav ‘GTO_LIFE_GG’ Sharma kept the winning momentum going as he took down the event for ₹3.70 Lakhs. ‘dealthemaces’ placed runner-up for ₹2.35 Lakhs. Sharma lapped up over ₹4.38 Lakhs on Sunday, counting three deep runs.

Adda52 had a packed Sunday scheduled headlined by three ₹25 Lakhs guaranteed events. The Sunday mainstay, Adda52 Millions, drew 256 entries, generating a ₹25.60 Lakhs prize pool. ‘Mantri97’ proved the last player standing and won ₹6.66 Lakhs. Avadh ‘cateyes’ Shah placed runner-up for ₹3.97 Lakhs.
The winner ‘mantri97’ now boasts ₹13.62 Lakhs in recorded winnings on the site, which includes ₹8.16 Lakhs in site-profits.
The ₹1 Crore GTD Nano Poker Series also wrapped up last night, with the ₹25 Lakhs GTD Nano Main Event playing down to a winner. The ₹1,650 entry buy-in event wrangled in 1,238 entries via five starting flights overlaying a substantial ₹6.43 Lakhs. The mystery player ‘dstar’ emerged triumphant to clinch the ₹5.52 Lakhs up-top. Ravinder ‘ravikirti’ Singh placed runner-up for ₹3.25 Lakhs.
The other Sunday headliner, the Mega Suits, promised a ₹25 Lakhs prize pool for an entry buy-in of ₹5,500. The third opening flight of the ₹1 Crore GTD FTS – The Feast pulled in 335 contestants, and by the end of the day’s play, only 42 players made the cut for Day 2.
Ashwin ‘A116’ Vijay (175,224), Dhinesh ‘kendralust’ Kumar (169,090), and ‘CultOfPersonality’ (145,218), Anirban ‘pokernoob’ D Das (126,876), and Arsh ‘BigggTymeR’ Grover (106,532) carried forward the top five stacks.
Three PokerGuru Ambassadors made the top 10 chip counts list, including Ratul ‘Atriohm’ Steves (101,948), Jayjit ‘David Blaine’ Ray (92,424), and Nadeem ‘blindgame’ Basha (89,292).
Mohit ‘jacktheripper’ Bhati (89,742) and Amit ‘Kavipri’ Suresh Gehani (86,831) bagged the other top stacks.
With three starting flights now over, the ₹2,200 entry buy-in event has registered 822 participants. The event needs 5,000 total entrants across 10 starting flights to break even.

Spartan Poker`s Sunday headliner, the ₹60 Lakhs GTD FTS #8 Sunday Special, pulled in a ₹594 entry field, experiencing a marginal ₹60,000 overlay. Like the two FTS flagships before it, the event was paused as soon as the eight-handed final table was formed.
The current IOPC United champion Piyush ‘jacks_apart’ Jain (2,525,354), borntrouble’ Varma (1,882,520), Devang ‘THENERDGUY’ Yadav (1,696,182), Rahul ‘BubbleDropMusic’ Kumar (1,447,132), Arun ‘Rohini Sharma’ Karthik (1,305,980), Sunil ‘bababk’ Arora (1,217,448) and Haider ‘Callmebabe’ Madraswala (1,054,896), and Jagat ‘jk307’ Bhandari (750,488) made the FT cut.
