Mantas Nanartavicius Champions $500K GTD Warm Up at 2021 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS North Cyprus For $210,912

Lithuania’s Mantas Nanartavicius (cover image) converted a satellite entry into a career-best $210,912 payday in the $500K GTD Warm Up at the 2021 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS North Cyprus.

This was the first marquee event of the series taking place at the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel Casino & Spa in Girne, North Cyprus, and played down to a three-way ICM chop with Fahredin Mustafov (2nd for $156,293) and Ionel Anton (3rd for $158,318) netting the other top payouts. The trio agreed to keep $24,000 and the trophy aside for the eventual champion.

The $2,200 buy-in Warm Up event logged in 745 entries to collect a guarantee-crushing $1,370,800 in the prize pool.

The top 89 places got paid with a min-cash worth $3,925. Elie Hage Youssef was the last player to fall empty-handed in 90th place.

Russian pro Artur Martirosian (11th for $18,370) and Karolis Ciudaras (12th for $18,370) were eliminated on Day 4 before Gregoire Auzoux (10th for $18,370) bubbled the nine-handed final table.

Popular French poker streamer Johan Guilbert (16,775,000) entered the final table holding the chip lead, with Fahredin Mustafov (11,775,000) and Kush Kataria (10,975,000), and Jim Sue Pan (10,100,000) the only other players with over 10 Million in chips.

Final Table Recap

Matthieu Chan was the first player eliminated at the final table when his ran into Jim Sue Pan’s better .

After Chan, Jim Sue Pan became the next player to hit the rails in eighth place. His fell short against Ionel Anton’s .

During level 34, Indian-origin Kush Kataria got knocked out in seventh place. Kataria 3-bet jammed with only to see Mantas Nanartavicius waking up with pocket kings.

Soon after that, the start of the final table chip leader Johan Guilbert was eliminated in sixth place. His pocket kings were cracked by Fahredin Mustafov`s that spiked an ace on the runout .

Georges Hanna got derailed in fifth place in perhaps the most interesting hand of the final table, where all five players held pocket pairs. Hanna moved all-in for 12.5 million, holding pocket fours. Fahredin Mustafov folded , Ionel Anton on the button called with , Silma Macalou folded , while Mantas Nanartavicius called for 10 million with . The board threw no surprises, and Nanartavicius tripled up with the aces, while Anton claimed the small side pot, eliminating Hanna.

In the next level, Silma Macalou‘s fell short against Mantas Nanartavicius’ . The board ran and Nanartavicius pair of aces sent Macalou packing in fourth place.

The remaining three players quickly agreed to an ICM deal with Mantas Nanartavicius locking up $186,912, Ionel Anton $158,318, and Fahredin Mustafov winning $156,293. The trio kept $24,000 and the title in play for the eventual champion.

Ionel Anton became short and busted in third place.

Fahredin Mustafov (38,000,000) held a marginal lead over the eventual winner Mantas Nanartavicius (36,300,000) at the start of their heads match. The heads-up action went on for more than one and a half hours, with both the players earning several double-ups.

On the last hand of the event, Fahredin Mustafov moved all-in with , and Mantas Nanartavicius made the call with . Nanartavicius pocket fours held through on the rundown, getting him the title and the $210,912 payday.
