Match IPL Team Announces First-Ever Online Team Poker League

Its exciting times ahead as the renowned team behind the successful Match Indian Poker League (MIPL) – British born Indian multi-millionaire Raj Kundra and multi-talented actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s Viaan Industries Ltd, a BSE Listed Company Headquartered in Mumbai, have their latest poker initiative in store. In order to help change the perception of poker in India, this time the leading entrepreneurs have announced the launch of the first-ever Online Team Poker League (OTPL).

OTPL is a national event that will be held in multiple countries worldwide starting with India. OTPL’s Season 1 will commence on July 28 and will run through November 17.

OTPL Format

OTPL is A No-Limit Texas Hold’em Sit & Go Sports Poker Tournament played in a team format where play proceeds hand-for-hand with the blinds rising incrementally at set intervals.

Capped at 30 Indian Teams and 6 Players per team, OTPL is spread over 11 months with the final event scheduled for December. There will be one tournament a month and a regular season runs from January to November. The national league topper will represent Team India in the World Online Team Poker League (WOTPL).

Rewards

75% of the prize pool will go towards the monthly prizes.

Technology

A customized Poker App made by Viaan Industries Limited will be used for the tournament. The app will be available for both Android and iOS users.

Teams

Teams can be purchased for 5-year rights for ₹3,00,000/- per month License fee.
