MPL Poker, the poker arm of the country`s second-largest gaming behemoth, has positioned itself as one of the dominating players in India thriving online poker sector, evidenced by the resounding success of the recently concluded India Poker Festival (IPF).

The India Poker Festival made its inaugural run on MPL poker from May 26 to June 4, and the site came out with all the bells and whistles to promote it, even dishing out its largest-ever ₹8 Crores in guaranteed prizes between the 13-event IPF series (₹4 Crores) and IPF cash game leaderboards (₹4 Crores).

MPL Poker attempted its most ambitious jump as a mainstream MTT site with the IPF MTT series, and the experiment definitely worked as 2,844 unique players joined the eight-day-long series that clocked in a total of 23,736 entries across all 13 events!

While the IPF flagships brought in poker players in droves, the cash games weren’t lacking in action either, as 46,559 unique users were on cash tables during the IPF promotion! These statistics alone prove that the IPF was an uber success.

Some key statistics of the IPF were:

Since its launch in 2019, the online poker arm of the country’s second-largest gaming company, Mobile Premier League, has made some big strides in the domestic poker circuit. The site launched MTTs on its platform on October 27, last year. And less than two weeks later, it had come out with details of its first MTT series – Steal Deal Series (November 17 to 21). Three more editions of the Steal Deal Series were hosted in December, January, and February.
