The ever-jovial Muskan Sethi (cover image) also known as “Baby Shark” is no stranger to the international stage. With over $44K in live scores and over $100K in online results, Sethi is certainly living up to her moniker “Baby Shark” and with the efforts she is putting in on her game she may soon need to drop the “Baby” in the title of her next video blog.

Sethi has been making her annual trips to Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and this year was her sixth consecutive visit. Another quality that sets this lady player apart from her contemporaries in her skills behind the camera. These same skills helped her qualify for the PokerStars Shark Cage Heat in 2014 where she finished one position short of winning a million dollars. Sethi was also the first lady player from India to begin streaming live when she launched her Twitch channel last year.

It’s been a busy year for Sethi who recently got married and spent the long summer in Las Vegas to play the WSOP alongside the largest-ever Indian contingent at the series. It was undoubtedly a historic and memorable WSOP for India as the country got its first bracelet winners this year and Sethi captured all her experiences in a Video Blog bringing them back to life for posterity. The Vblog features some of the best poker minds from the circuit sharing tips and insights about the game. Check it out yourself here –

In a quick chat with PokerGuru, Muskan shared with us her first official video for her YouTube channel along with her experiences at WSOP and the efforts she put in to create the video. Here are the excerpts –

Hello Muskan, thank you for speaking with us. Please tell us about your long summer in Las Vegas. How was the experience and how was it different from your previous visits?

What an exciting summer, this was my sixth consecutive trip to Vegas. I thought by now I should be used to it but it keeps growing on me but this time I was well equipped!

What were the preparations you did or what poker coaching/mind coaching you took to be ready for WSOP?

Ever since last series I made a promise to myself to keep working hard and not give up! I think I have developed this “always a student” attitude towards poker. Now I study more than I actually play!

For this summer, I put in countless hours with my coach Grayson Nichols who is so patient with me and my hand histories. simultaneously I am working personally with Elliot Roe on my mindset issues. Mindset training is important because you have to experience everything from ups and downs. Poker is a rollercoaster ride so we should be strong, prepared and focused specially for a mind sport like this one!

How was it to see Aditya Sushant winning the first WSOP bracelet for the country? Nipun Java won two bracelets and Aditya Agarwal was another player who put in a consistent performance alongside many other players who did really well. Kindly share your views on the same.

It was an amazing feeling! I was so happy for them as if I had won a bracelet myself. I missed the ceremony by a day but I saw it live thanks to Vikram Kumar. Such a proud emotion moment.

Aditya Agarwal was like a warrior running for the player of year. Well I’m sure one of these years we will see Adi’s picture up there on WSOP walls.

We have a lot to learn from Nipun Java and Aditya Sushant! Team India made us even more proud this summer Amit Jain, Paawan Bansal, Jagdeep Singh, Nikita Luther, Romit Advani, Rahul Byrraju all made good scores and the list of deep runs goes on.

Please tell us how the idea about the video blog came about? How did you shoot and how was the experience behind the camera?

It’s not easy to come out of your comfort zone but I thought I’d give it a try. I struggled recording myself or my day-to-day routine including poker hands because that’s the last thing on your mind when you are there! Even with such a strict routine I managed to bring back some memories to share. Also, because I was there for so long, I will be coming up with more videos soon. I am still deciding on the topic.

How did you manage to take bites from the Poker Legends that feature in your video? Please tell us about the overall journey of shooting the video.

It was fun running around with my little GoPro. I was just capturing bits of my life. Even then I had no idea what I wanted to do with those videos until I came back and went through them with my family and friends. In my YouTube video description, I gave them all credit!

Something tells us we will be seeing more on Muskan both on the felts and behind the camera. More power to you Muskan!
