The sixth event on the 85-event roster at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online 2020 played down to the wire on Monday night. Accessible only to Nevada and New Jersey residents, Event #6: $600 PLO8 6-Handed was the first and the only PLO Six-Max event of the series. A total of 497 players joined the action, but galloping to the victory lane at the end of the 12-hour-long grind was Nathan ‘surfbum’ Gamble (cover image).
The 30-year-old Texas native is arguably one of the more talented PLO specialists in the game today. Gamble had won his first piece of WSOP gold in 2017 when he captured Event #46: $1,500 PLO Hi-Lo 8 or Better for $223,339. A persona with an interesting life story – he was kidnapped at 18 at gunpoint, but let go – Gamble has also served as a field artillery officer having completed stints in North and South Korea.
Gamble had gifted his first bracelet to his father, and his 2017 WSOP title victory remains his best live score to date. Nonetheless, the Monday night victory added a sizeable $89,424.21 more to his bankroll. An elated Gamble took to Twitter to share the news.

Hand-for-hand play began in Level 16 and didn’t last long, with Connor ‘NYR9414’ Berkowitz becoming the last player to hit the rail empty-handed.
Six-time bracelet winner Daniel ‘Dnegs’ Negreanu (59th for $1,304) fired three bullets and even live-streamed his run on Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook. Working hard to win his $1 Million prop bet, Negreanu was eventually eliminated at Joseph ‘MegolaMan1ac’ Liberta‘s hands.
