The National Poker Series India 2025 has been the talk of the poker town for the last three weeks, and as it entered its final week, Day 23 delivered another explosion of high-stakes poker. Seven tournaments alongside qualifiers for two of the NPS’s crown jewels—the ₹10 Crores GTD NPS#191 Main Event and the ₹1 Crore GTD NPS#190 Golden Rush—created a perfect storm of poker action.
Day 23 saw four players etch their names into the NPS history books for the first time, each claiming their first-ever NPS Gold Medal, with a seasoned pro snagging his second Gold this series and two other players adding to their collections. With only a week left to grab one of the 12 coveted seats at the much-anticipated National Poker Champion showdown in Goa, players showed up in force. Tuesday witnessed a colossal 9,509 entries flood the PokerBaazi tables, sending the day’s total prize money soaring to a breathtaking ₹3.25 Crores—a stunning 20% jump over the already impressive ₹2.75 Crores guaranteed. This is one of the biggest leaps we’ve witnessed since the series began, a clear indicator of the escalating tension as this epic series approaches its climax!
This brings the total winnings given away at NPS India 2025 to an eye-watering ₹79.61 Crores (leaving that ₹71.65 Crores guaranteed so far in the dust!). And get this: with six days still on the clock, there’s still over ₹28 Crores in guaranteed prize money up for grabs!
The heart of the action was the ₹1 Crore GTD NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO). The 17th of 21 tournaments with an eight-figure guarantee at this year’s NPS. This was a 7 PM showdown, a bounty-packed brawl. And it was Prashanth Chandrasekhar who owned the spotlight. A hardened grinder who’s been a PokerBaazi regular for almost a decade, Chandrasekhar had last tasted victory in the IPM#64 (6-Max) Turbo. But he finally broke through in the Big Knockout (PKO), pocketing a colossal ₹15.35 Lakhs, a staggering 4.28X larger than his previous career-best! A small additional cash bumped his Tuesday total to a jaw-dropping ₹15.39 Lakhs, more than doubling his lifetime online profits. His medal-winning feat also launched him to #12 on the Karnataka State Leaderboard, and he now sits at #26 in PokerBaazi’s 2025 POY race.
Vikranth Verma, a three-time NPS Gold Medalist, came in guns blazing, aiming for a fourth Gold, but fell just short in the NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO). Still, he walked away with a well-deserved runner-up finish, netting a massive ₹9.49 Lakhs. This was his third Silver Medal of the series (his fifth medal of the series and eighth overall), placing him in an elite group of only three players—alongside Bhanu Prakash KC and Mohit Bohra—to reach the five-medal milestone this year. Verma cashed in four other NPS events, bringing his total haul to a scorching ₹9.79 Lakhs. His strong play also bumped him up to #6 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard, putting him right in the thick of the fight with the other leading contenders.
Nandan Pugalia finally shattered his medal-less streak at NPS India 2025, seizing a Bronze Medal with a third-place finish in the NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO). The two-time NPS medallist pocketed a hefty ₹6.92 Lakhs, his second-largest online score. Five additional cashes saw his total Tuesday winnings reach almost ₹7.38 Lakhs. This was his second career Bronze (third NPS medal overall) and boosted him to #18 on the West Bengal State Leaderboard. His strong showing also pushed him to #31 on the NPS Series Leaderboard and #32 on PokerBaazi’s 2025 POY Leaderboard.
Arun Sriram was another breakout star of the day. The Bengaluru-based entrepreneur-turned-poker-ace, best known for his EndBoss 6.0 triumph in September 2023, ended an over four-month title dry spell by conquering the action-packed NPS#155 (PLO-5) Knockout (PKO), bagging ₹6.17 Lakhs and his second NPS Gold Medal (his first medal of the series and third medal overall)—his fourth-biggest career score and best of 2025. Two more deep runs added to his Tuesday take, for a combined total of ₹6.29 Lakhs, and catapulted him to #7 on the Karnataka State Leaderboard.
Mayank Jaggi is on an absolute heater, and Tuesday night was further proof of his PLO prowess. Fresh off winning the Gold in NPS#76 (6-Max) SPRINT and Bronze Medals in NPS#71 (PLO-5) and NPS#25 (PLO-4), Jaggi was chasing his second NPS Gold in NPS#155 (PLO-5) Knockout (PKO) but had to be content with the Silver, walking away with a platform-best ₹4.21 Lakhs. Deep runs in two other NPS events boosted his total earnings past ₹4.32 Lakhs. This performance elevated him to an exclusive group of 12 players with four or more medals in this series. He’s now #2 on the Haryana State Leaderboard, locked in a fierce battle with fellow four-time medalist Mohit Mehta for that top spot.
Goonjan Mall threw down the gauntlet, rocketing into the top 10 of the NPC Leaderboard as the West Bengal State Leaderboard top dog after a commanding performance in the NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper. Just two weeks after snagging his first-ever NPS Gold Medal in NPS#64 Deepdive, Mall did it again, taking home his second Gold of the series and a sweet ₹3.97 Lakhs, the largest chunk of change he has won in a single tournament this year.
Young Gun Shardul Parthasarathi was breathing down Mall’s neck in the NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper, coming so close to his first NPS Gold. This poker pro and coach already had a Bronze from the NPS#26 (7-Max) Championship and a Silver from the NPS#91 (5-Max) Hyper SPRINT. He added another Silver to his growing collection, pocketing ₹2.75 Lakhs. A few other deep runs and his total Tuesday earnings came to just over ₹2.95 Lakhs, placing him at a solid #15 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard.
Young Gun Devang Yadav penned his own comeback narrative by claiming his first-ever NPS Gold Medal (second medal overall) in the NPS#156 Marathon, collecting ₹3.50 Lakhs after a heads-up deal. A certified poker crusher—with a resume boasting two The Millionaire titles and a The MoneyMaker 76.0 win—Yadav had been searching for another breakthrough for a while, and he achieved it last night after playing 80 tournaments in the series. With two more deep runs, his total earnings for the day reached ₹4.05 Lakhs, pushing him to #10 on the Haryana State Leaderboard.
Archit Saraogi was also on the hunt for his first NPS Gold Medal in the NPS#156 Marathon. After a strong fifth-place finish in NPS#126 Thursday Thunder, he came incredibly close, settling for the Silver Medal—his first medal of this series (his second overall). The ₹3.34 Lakhs payday from the heads-up deal was his biggest score of the year, providing both a surge of confidence and some welcome relief from previous losses. His medal run also sent him to #13 on the Tamil Nadu State Leaderboard.
‘Ladynorthtower‘ (Won NPS#152 Megadive for ₹4.56 Lakhs), Tage Oppo (Won NPS#150 (7-Max) SPRINT for ₹2.21 Lakhs) and Bharat Vasan (Won NPS#151 Deepdive for ₹2.17 Lakhs) were the day’s other Gold Medal champions!
With the series nearing its end, the NPS Series Leaderboard remains the Bhanu Prakash KC domain, who is pulling away from the pack, now boasting 32,110 points from a mind-blowing 126 cashes. Vinay Rajpal is still in the hunt, sitting at 29,740 points with an even more astonishing 134 cashes, keeping the pressure cranked up. Rising Star Aman Parakh maintains his third-place position with 28,740 points from 117 cashes.
Beyond the NPS India 2025 frenzy, Amit Kaushik, Stavya Singh, Jatin Sablani, Sreeharsha Boneni, and Yash Bajpai won the Tuesday flagships across the other major platforms.

The record-shattering National Poker Series India 2025 entered its final week with a bang, as Day 23 delivered another blistering day of poker action! Seven high-stakes tournaments were blazing simultaneously, alongside qualifiers for two NPS showstoppers—the ₹10 Crores GTD NPS#191 Main Event and the ₹1 Crore GTD NPS#190 Golden Rush—creating a poker maelstrom of activity.
With the fight for those coveted top spots on the state leaderboards reaching a boiling point, players came out in full force. A mind-boggling 9,509 entries flooded the PokerBaazi tables, catapulting the day’s total prize money to a whopping ₹3.25 Crores—a remarkable 20% surge over the already generous ₹2.75 Crores on the table. This is one of the most significant jumps we’ve seen since the series began, a clear indicator of the escalating tension as this epic series approaches its climax.
This brings the NPS India 2025’s total prize money distributed to an eye-watering ₹79.61 Crores (leaving the ₹71.65 Crores guaranteed up to this point far behind). And, with six days to go, the series still has over ₹28 Crores in guaranteed prize money waiting to be scooped up!
The day’s centrepiece was the ₹1 Crore GTD NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO), one of two PKO flagships on the menu. The 17th of 21 tournaments with an eight-figure guarantee at this year’s NPS, this 7 PM spectacle was a bounty-fuelled, elimination-heavy slugfest.
At the epicentre of this Tuesday firestorm was a poker veteran who’d patiently waited seven long months for a win— Prashanth ‘mcp1212’ Chandrasekhar. A regular on the circuit, Chandrasekhar has been grinding on PokerBaazi for almost a decade, last tasting victory in August 2024 with a win in the IPM#64 (6-Max) Turbo. But last night, he stepped back into the winner’s circle and did it in the biggest event of the day, seizing his first-ever NPS medal—and he made sure it was the gleaming Gold!
The 7 PM Big Knockout (PKO) was a brutal, nine-plus hour war of attrition, attracting a stacked field of 1,162 hopefuls (594 unique). Undeterred by an early bust, Chandrasekhar fired a second bullet and began his steady, yet ruthless, climb through the ranks.
When the smoke cleared, he stood alone, locking down a career-best ₹15.35 Lakhs, including a healthy ₹3.43 Lakhs in bounties—an astonishing 4.28X increase over his previous personal best! This win placed Chandrasekhar in select company, making him one of just three players to win their first-ever NPS medal as Gold last night, one of four players to grab their first NPS Gold Medal on Day 23, and the 15th player from Karnataka to win Gold at NPS India 2025. His medal-winning performance also vaulted him to #12 on the Karnataka State Leaderboard.
Chandrasekhar further padded his bankroll with a small cash in NPS#150 (7-Max) SPRINT (122nd for ₹3,116), taking his total Tuesday haul to a jaw-dropping ₹15.39 Lakhs, more than doubling his lifetime online profits. This phenomenal run earned him the crown of Tuesday’s top earner, boosting him to #26 in PokerBaazi’s 2025 POY race.
> 1st in PokerBaazi’s NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO) for ₹15,35,473* (₹3,43,473 in bounties)
> 122nd in PokerBaazi’s NPS#150 (7-Max) SPRINT for ₹3,116
Prashanth Chandrasekhar’s online stats (PokerBaazi and Spartan Poker): Lifetime Winnings: ₹1.10 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹26.90 Lakhs | Titles Won in 2025: #1 | Moves to #12 on the Karnataka State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 1 Gold | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹17.48 Lakhs | Moves to #26 on PokerBaazi’s 2025 POY Leaderboard
Facing off against Chandrasekhar in the NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO) heads-up battle was Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Verma (opted out of our tracking), who came in gunning for his fourth NPS Gold Medal. A three-time Gold Medal winner, Verma has been riding an unstoppable wave of dominance, and last night, he further cemented his legacy as one of the festival’s all-time greats!
After claiming two Silver Medals (NPS#42 (PLO-5) Megadive & NPS#92 Relay) and two Bronze (NPS#36 Marathon & NPS#58 Megadive), he continued his hot streak by finishing runner-up in the Big Knockout (PKO), adding ₹9.49 Lakhs (₹1.27 Lakhs in bounties) to his overflowing coffers.
This is his third Silver of the series, and his fifth NPS medal this year (eighth NPS medal in total), placed him among a select few, the third at this series (after Bhanu Prakash KC and Mohit Bohra) to earn five medals. In addition, he climbed to #6 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard, sitting at 19 points. With PokerBaazi Team Pro Zarvan Tumboli in the lead with 25 points, another win by any of the top contenders could dramatically alter the landscape in one of the most hotly contested state-level races at this year’s NPS.
And Verma’s rampage wasn’t over. His Tuesday grind saw him cash in four other NPS events, bringing his total for the day to a blistering almost ₹9.79 Lakhs, placing him at #2 on the Tuesday scorecard, just behind Chandrasekhar.
> 2nd in PokerBaazi’s NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO) for ₹9,48,632* (₹1,26,632 in bounties)

> 112th in PokerBaazi’s NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper for ₹7,652

Vikranth Verma’s NPS stats: Moves to #6 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 3 Gold, 3 Silver & 2 Bronze | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹50.39 Lakhs
Nandan ‘ragemonster’ Pugalia, the up-and-coming star from Kolkata and last month’s Daily Last Chance champion, also finally broke his medal-less streak for the series! This two-time NPS medallist cracked open his medal account for the series in the NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO). After three final table appearances in the series, he finally snagged a Bronze for finishing third in the flagship, pocketing a massive ₹6.92 Lakhs (₹65,780 in bounties) – his second-best online score. This was his second career Bronze Medal (his first of this series and third overall), and it catapulted him to #18 on the West Bengal State Leaderboard.
But Pugalia wasn’t slowing down! He nearly made a perfect run, cashing in all but one of the day’s NPS events, racking up almost ₹7.38 Lakhs in total! This strong play has pushed him to #31 on the NPS Series Leaderboard with 22,009 points from a phenomenal 102 cashes and landed him at #32 on PokerBaazi’s fiercely contested 2025 POY Leaderboard.
> 3rd in PokerBaazi’s NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO) for ₹6,91,780* (₹65,780 in bounties)
> 105th in PokerBaazi’s NPS#155 (PLO-5) Knockout (PKO) for ₹11,584

The NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO) final table was a battlefield filled with experienced pros and ambitious contenders, including the two-time Gold Medallist this series Vishal ‘Vishzz’ Bajaj (4th for ₹5.19 Lakhs), ‘GODsentBEAST’ (5th for ₹3.89 Lakhs), Devansh ‘Dev3088’ Shah (6th for ₹2.77 Lakhs), recent NPS#138 (4-Max) Hyper SPRINT Silver Medallist Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan (7th for ₹2.22 Lakhs), and ‘drwoo’ (8th for ₹1.65 Lakhs).
The ₹11,500 buy-in NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO) drew a field of sharks and dreamers, all battling for a slice of that eight-figure prize pool. While it didn’t quite hit its ₹1 Crore guarantee, falling short by ₹7.04 Lakhs, unlike many of the other NPS flagships that day, it only meant even more value for the top 194 finishers who made the money. Even a min-cash was worth a respectable ₹17,000, not to mention the ₹23.24 Lakhs in the bounty pool. Day 23 of the NPS India 2025 was another non-stop rollercoaster of action, and you know what they say: the best is yet to come as this historic series thunders towards its grand conclusion.

The NPS India 2025 is barreling down the home stretch, and Tuesday night saw Arun ‘vazharmorghulis’ Sriram finally catch fire. This Bengaluru-based entrepreneur-turned-poker ace who took down End Boss 6.0 in September 2023 had been sniffing around an NPS Gold Medal since the series began over three weeks ago!
Sriram’s no stranger to the NPS podium. His collection already included a Gold Medal from the 2022 NPS#18 PKO Bout and a Silver from the 2024 NPS#76 Big Knockout (PKO). But the desire for another NPS Gold was burning strong. He’d gotten close, with final table appearances in NPS#5 Inaugural and NPS#137 Sunday Kickoff this series, but last night, nothing less than Gold would satisfy him.
The setting for Sriram’s dominant performance was PokerBaazi’s ₹40 Lakhs GTD NPS#155 (PLO-5) Knockout (PKO). The second-to-last of the day’s NPS events, the 8:30 PM PLO PKO flagship attracted a fierce group of 501 players, the field swelling to a massive 1,348 total entries with re-entries.
The nine-hour onslaught bled well into the early hours of Wednesday morning, and it was a wild ride, with the five-card variant’s swings and the rush for bounties. But with each player eliminated, Sriram got closer to the goal. When all was said and done, he was the last player standing; the Gold Medal was finally in his grasp. The win not only ended his search for another title but also delivered a hefty ₹6.17 Lakhs prize after two entries, including ₹1.21 Lakhs in bounties. This goes down as his fourth-biggest haul on the platform, his best score of 2025, and a welcome return to the champion’s circle, snapping a four-month-plus title-less streak.
But Sriram wasn’t just collecting medals, but also raking in the dough. Two more deep runs brought his Tuesday night earnings to a tick over ₹6.29 Lakhs. The victory also launched him to #7 on the Karnataka State Leaderboard.

Mayank ‘alwaystiltAA’ Jaggi was another player making serious moves! This old-timer came into the series without any NPS hardware but has been a force at the NPS India 2025, having won Gold in the NPS#76 (6-Max) SPRINT and Bronze Medals in the NPS#71 (PLO-5) and NPS#25 (PLO-4)! Clearly, PLO is his game, and last night, he nearly clinched a second NPS Gold in NPS#155 (PLO-5) Knockout (PKO). He came up just short, grabbing the Silver Medal – rounding out his medal collection to an even four – and adding a platform-best ₹4.21 Lakhs (₹74,660 in bounties) to his bankroll.
Jaggi now finds himself in an exclusive club of only 12 players with four or more medals in this series. He is perched at #2 on the Haryana State Leaderboard, deadlocked at 19 points with another four-time medalist, Mohit Mehta. A single additional medal could shake up the entire leaderboard – it’s a tense, down-to-the-wire battle for the top spot on that Haryana leaderboard.
Jaggi`s Tuesday was a lucrative one. Adding deep runs in two other NPS events, his total haul was a shade over ₹4.32 Lakhs.
> 2nd in PokerBaazi’s NPS#155 (PLO-5) Knockout (PKO) for ₹4,20,611

The NPS#155 (PLO-5) Knockout (PKO) podium also featured another relentless competitor, Snehil ‘GTORanges’ Aggarwal, who had previously won Gold in NPS#14 (PLO-6) Megadive and Bronze in the NPS#35 Marathon. He claimed his third medal of the series (fourth overall), another Bronze, and a solid ₹3.19 Lakhs (₹55,886 in bounties) after a relentless five-entry barrage – his sixth-largest PokerBaazi payday. Factor in deep runs in four other NPS flagships, and his Tuesday winnings totalled slightly above ₹4.61 Lakhs.
Agarwal’s three-medal collection has him ranked #5 on the Haryana State Leaderboard, and he’s also a very impressive #13 on the NPS Series Leaderboard, boasting a strong 24,710 points from 155 tournaments played, with a 68% in-the-money rate!

Like most of the day’s NPS events, the ₹4,600 buy-in NPS#155 (PLO-5) Knockout (PKO) didn’t just meet its guarantee; it obliterated it, generating a blazing ₹43.14 Lakhs prize pool. A total of 226 players cashed, with even the minimum payout at a respectable ₹6,039, keeping the excitement and the rewards flowing as this epic series approaches its final days.

The record-smashing NPS India 2025 is in its final, frenzied week, and Tuesday delivered another jolt of high-voltage action. Even before the ₹1 Crore GTD NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO) stole the spotlight, the ₹40 Lakhs GTD NPS#152 Megadive was already a cauldron of intense competition.
It was in this pressure-filled environment that ‘Ladynorthtower’—a name last seen gracing the podium of the colossal IPM#157 Main Event last August—re-entered the poker conversation. After months of grinding, they finally struck Gold, seizing their first-ever NPS Gold Medal and a sweet ₹4.56 Lakhs payday—their second-largest score on the platform, trailing only the gigantic ₹42 Lakhs they banked in that IPM Main Event. This win also added another Gold to Uttar Pradesh’s tally, bringing their count to 18 and boosting ‘Ladynorthtower’ to #8 on the state leaderboard.
Firing two bullets in the 5:30 PM flagship, ‘Ladynorthtower’ faced a gruelling nine-hour-and-20-minute fight, outlasting a field of 1,512 entries (755 unique). When the final card was dealt, they had conquered all, earning their biggest NPS payout to date and adding a sparkling Gold Medal to their PokerBaazi collection.

A battle-tested regular with three Gold and a Bronze Medal to his name, Rohilla had played a staggering 120 tournaments at this NPS without reaching the podium, narrowly missing with a fourth-place finish in the NPS#92 Relay! But last night, he got the medal he was after, and while it wasn’t Gold, it was Silver (his third NPS Silver Medal and his seventh NPS medal overall), accompanied by a nice ₹3.20 Lakhs. His efforts didn’t end there. Three more cashes bumped his total Tuesday take-home to over ₹3.72 Lakhs.

The NPS India 2025 is barreling towards its grand finale, and Day 23 delivered a hefty dose of poker fireworks! Tuesday’s final listed NPS event, PokerBaazi’s ₹30 Lakhs GTD NPS#156 Marathon, was the cherry on top of a day already bursting with energy. It kicked off at 9:30 PM and saw 694 poker players enter the arena (for a total of 1,403 entries). True to its name, it was an endurance test, lasting nine hours and six minutes before a champion was declared. That champion was none other than Young Gun Devang ‘Laila’ Yadav (opted out of our tracking)!
This 31-year-old IIT Delhi alum is a poker veteran who’s been in the professional game since 2017. He’s racked up some serious accolades along the way, including two victories in The Millionaire and a win in The MoneyMaker 76.0. Oddly enough, his biggest PokerBaazi score didn’t come from a win or even a top-three finish – it was a sixth-place haul in the EndBoss Special Edition in July 2023. He also grabbed a Bronze Medal in the 2023 NPS#80 Wednesday Volley, but one shiny piece was missing from his impressive collection: an NPS Gold Medal.
But that changed last night. Yadav finally struck Gold in the NPS#156 Marathon. He fired three bullets in this late-night showdown, battling through a tough-as-nails field to claim victory and a sweet ₹3.50 Lakhs payday, thanks to a heads-up deal. This is his biggest NPS score so far and his first big win in a long time, and it came with that long-desired Gold Medal – a prize he finally grasped after playing in a staggering 80 tournaments this series, even reaching the final table of the NPS#49 (6-Max) SPRINT.
But the riches didn’t stop there. Yadav also picked up scores in the NPS#154 Big Knockout (PKO) (71st for ₹31,000) and the NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper (25th for ₹23,621), bringing his Tuesday winnings to a grand sum of at least ₹4.05 Lakhs. This incredible performance slingshotted him to #10 on the Haryana State Leaderboard, a place so fiercely contested that another Gold in the next six days might just be his ticket to the top!
Devang Yadav’s NPS stats: Moves to #10 on the Haryana State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 1 Gold & 1 Bronze | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹21.26 Lakhs
Right behind Yadav was Archit ‘RareAbility’ Saraogi, who was also on a mission to win his first Gold Medal of the series, and he almost got there. Riding high on a strong fifth-place finish in the NPS#126 Thursday Thunder just before Holi, Saraogi took the runner-up spot in the NPS#156 Marathon, snagging his first medal of the series (a Silver) – his second career Silver after winning one in the 2024 NPS#150 Afterparty. The heads-up deal got him ₹3.34 Lakhs – his biggest score of the year and some recovery on past losses – and pushed him to #13 on the Tamil Nadu State Leaderboard.
Archit Saraogi’s online stats (PokerBaazi, Adda52, PokerStars India and Spartan Poker): Lifetime Winnings: ₹2.57 Crores | Titles Won in 2025: #2 | Moves to #13 on the Tamil Nadu State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 2 Silver | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹13.27 Lakhs
Rounding out the NPS#156 Marathon podium was Rajat ‘happyfish’ Mahajan, the first-ever APT Online India Main Event champion from 2021. He finally broke his NPS medal dry spell, claiming the Bronze and a sweet ₹2.16 Lakhs. That four-bullet investment paid off big time – it’s his largest score of 2025 to date, rocketing him to #28 on the Haryana State Leaderboard.
The NPS#156 Marathon final table was crowded with recent Bronze Medallists, including the NPS#103 (7-Max) SPRINT Bronze Medallist Deepak ‘Deepbindas’ Pandey (4th for ₹1.59 Lakhs), NPS#22 (4-Max) Hyper Bronze Medallist andAvneesh ‘iamam’ Munjal (5th for ₹1.15 Lakhs), and NPS#66 Slamdunk Bronze Medallist Sachin ‘browguy26’ Raj (8th for ₹50,157).
The NPS India 2025 is in its final stretch now, and you can feel the energy crackling. Players are vying for those top spots on the state leaderboards, and the dream of becoming the National Poker Champion is burning brighter than ever. The turnouts are continuing to smash guarantees, and the ₹2,875 buy-in NPS#156 Marathon was another huge hit, with a gigantic ₹35.08 Lakhs prize pool generated, blowing past its initial guarantee. The top 226 finishers took home at least ₹4,911 – a sweet return for those who survived the bubble. The heat is on as this incredible series approaches what’s shaping up to be a historic finish next Monday!

It’s an all-out, no-holds-barred melee for those coveted top spots on the state leaderboards as the record-demolishing NPS India 2025 hurtles towards its grand finale. Only the top 12 ranked players on the National Poker Champion (India) Leaderboard—one from each state—will snag a seat at the legendary National Poker Champion showdown in Goa. While Bhanu Prakash KC (Karnataka) and Mohit Bohra (Gujarat) have been setting a breakneck pace on their respective state leaderboards, Goonjan ‘gmtesting’ Mall (West Bengal) made a deafening statement by blasting into the top 10 of the NPC Leaderboard after crushing PokerBaazi’s ₹25 Lakhs GTD NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper last night, making it abundantly clear, he’s a serious contender to make the NPC showdown!
Mall, who seized his first NPS Gold Medal (also his first NPS medal ever) in the NPS#64 Deepdive a fortnight ago, doubled down on his dominance by conquering a guarantee-busting 1,109-entry field (426 unique) in the 6:30 PM NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper. This hyper-turbo event lived up to its billing, wrapping up in a blistering four hours and 11 minutes, with the seasoned veteran clinching his second Gold Medal of the series, along with a handsome ₹3.97 Lakhs payout—his biggest score of the year, even eclipsing the ₹3.45 Lakhs he pocketed in the Deepdive.
Goonjan Mall’s online stats (PokerBaazi, Adda52, PokerStars India and Spartan Poker): Lifetime Winnings: ₹15.20 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹6.37 Crores | Titles Won in 2025: #3 | Moves to #1 on the West Bengal State Leaderboard | Moves to #7 on the NPC Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 2 Gold | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹25.67 Lakhs
The NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper heads-up match was a thrilling contest between two top-tier talents, and standing between Mall and the Gold was Young Gun Shardul ‘duuurrrr’ Parthasarathi. This poker pro and coach has been a force of nature at NPS India 2025, competing in a staggering 156 events and cashing in an unbelievable 100 of them. With six final table appearances, two resulting in podium finishes before Tuesday, it’s undeniable that once Parthasarathi builds momentum, he’s a tough opponent to stop. Parthasarathi’s first medal was a Bronze in the NPS#26 (7-Max) Championship, followed by a Silver in the NPS#91 (5-Max) Hyper SPRINT.
Making a remarkable seventh final table appearance at the series, he had another shot at Gold in the NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper. Parthasarathi didn’t let initial setbacks slow him down, firing four bullets in his hunt for the Gold. However, he was forced to accept another Silver Medal, adding ₹2.75 Lakhs to his winnings.
Additional deep runs in the NPS#155 (PLO-5) Knockout (PKO) (65th for ₹14,772) and the NPS#152 Megadive (288th for ₹4,800) saw his Tuesday earnings clock in at just over ₹2.95 Lakhs. His three-medal haul now places him at #15 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard with 12 points, and he has one week to close the gap on the leaders in what’s turning into a nail-biting contest at the top of his state’s leaderboard.
Shardul Parthasarathi’s online stats (PokerBaazi, Adda52, PokerStars India and Spartan Poker): Lifetime Winnings: ₹13.25 Crores | Lifetime Profits: ₹4.07 Crores | Titles Won in 2025: #1 | Moves to #15 on the Maharashtra State Leaderboard | NPS Medals Won: 2 Silver & 1 Bronze | Lifetime NPS Winnings: ₹61.40 Lakhs
Completing the NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper podium was Mohit ‘Heartquake’ Bothra, the NPS#97 Sunday Kickoff fourth-place finisher #11 The MoneyMaker podium finisher, who captured his first NPS medal—a Bronze. His third-place finish delivered ₹2.10 Lakhs (after two entries) – his second-best score of 2025 and the sixth-largest of his career.
Just short of a podium appearance, Uttar Pradesh’s Omkar ‘omipower’ Nath finished fourth, narrowly missing out on his first-ever NPS medal. Still, he walked away with ₹1.58 Lakhs—his best score of the year.
As has been typical of these Hypers throughout the series, the ₹3,450 buy-in NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper significantly exceeded its stated guarantee, creating a blazing-hot ₹33.27 Lakhs prize pool – over 33% larger than the promised ₹25 Lakhs. The top 186 finishers received at least ₹5,989, a solid 1.7x return on their initial investment, adding another success story to this record-setting saga.
