The world of poker content has been developing at a brisk pace, especially in India. Over the past year, not only have several established and upcoming players started live-streaming their online sessions, but many established names have taken the big digital lead by creating their own podcasts. One of the first such talk shows that has become quite popular in the poker community has been PokerStars India’s ‘Off the Felt,’ hosted by its brand ambassador and one of India’s leading female poker pros Muskan Sethi.

The talk show is returning for a second season, starting from November 21. Like Season 1, the second season will also feature nine episodes and will conclude in January 2021.

PokerGuru caught up with Sethi who shared her excitement regarding the upcoming season and said, “Season 1 was a fantastic experience, and I feel delighted that I got a peek inside the minds of so many talented poker players & coaches. Season 2 promises to be bigger with an exciting line up of guests. I am sure viewers will enjoy watching them as much as I enjoyed interviewing them.”

But before we get into the details for Season 2, let’s take a look back at Season 1.

Off the Felt with Muskan Sethi – Season 1 Recap

The talk show’s first season had an over six-month-long run from January 4 to June 12, 2020, with an ensemble group of poker celebrities. The talk show was live-streamed on the PokerStars India YouTube channel.

Season 1 had started off with well-known Indian pro Rajat Sharma, with two-time WPT Online India titleholder Raghav Bansal coming in as the show’s second guest.

Sethi then spiced it up, welcoming her first international guest of the season, Daniel’ Jungleman’ Cates.

Episode 4 featured the only Indian to have won two WSOP bracelets and a WSOPC ring, US-based Nipun Java.

The fifth episode featured the man responsible for the ‘Moneymaker effect’ and one of the most prominent ambassadors of the game, Chris Moneymaker.

Renowned poker coach and author Jonathan Little was brought in for the sixth episode, with online crusher Anant Purohit, the seventh episode guest.

The eighth episode was dedicated to celebrating the ‘Women of Poker’ theme. It featured prominent female players like PokerGuru Ambassador Shuchi Chamaria, Young Gun Kanchan Sharma, Mahima Walia Das, Niharika Bindra, Pratibha Arya, and Ruchika Purohit.

Season 1 wrapped up with mind coach Elliot Roe appearing for the season finale.

The first season went a long way in bringing some of the industry’s biggest names within reach of the poker masses. Many enthusiasts may have watched the likes of Cates, Moneymaker, Little, Java, Bansal, and others play either live or online, studied their gameplay, or caught their live streams. But to hear these megastars talking about their poker journeys and opening up about their personal experiences undoubtedly helped the budding poker talent in getting a realistic idea of what becoming a professional poker player entails.

Sethi recently tweeted about the return of the talk show for its second season. You can watch a quick recap of all that went down in Season 1 below.
