There was no slowing down of the online action through the final week of June. For the last many weeks, almost invariably, it’s the player winning the biggest payday on Sunday, who ends up on top of the weekly charts. This week was no different, and charging his way to the top is a new name, Anurag Sangahi. A lesser-known player, Sangahi made quite a debut on the leaderboard after taking down the ₹1 Crore GTD AOPS Full House Finale last Sunday for a personal-best ₹21 Lakhs. Incredibly, this was his first recorded title victory and one that more than tripled his winnings tally that presents stands at ₹31.38 Lakhs!
PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja occupies the second spot on this week’s leaderboard, while last week’s topper and Ahuja’s teammate Arjanveer Singh Chadha rounds out the top three spots on the weekly rankings.
Even the power-packed performances of Ahuja and Chadha could not shake Sanat Mehrotra off the top of the monthly leaderboard rankings. The Gurgaon-based pro seems to have pulled way ahead of the rest and presently boasts of over ₹75 Lakhs in monthly winnings. He is also a close fourth on the yearly rankings.
Topping the yearly leaderboard for the seventh consecutive week is none other than Young Gun Gaurav Sood, and like Mehrotra, he was busy all through the week. Sood added three final table scores to his tally this week; the most prominent of them was his runner-up finish in Spartan Poker’s The Elite. His recorded winnings for the year have reached a colossal ₹2.26 Crores!
The former IOPC Main Event champion Anurag Srivastava continues to hold onto the second spot on the yearly leaderboards, but there’s been a shakeup in the third-place rankings. PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh Chadha`s hot run has catapulted him over Srihari Bang to the #3 spot on the yearly rankings. Bang, on the other hand, has been relegated to the #5 spot by Sanat Mehrotra.
