Online poker traffic is at an all-time high for June, and this has resulted in a barrage of massive guaranteed tourneys that are being held across all the major poker platforms. Sundays have become especially massive, and invariably, the biggest winner each Sunday ends up topping the weekly charts.
This week again, the trend seems to have repeated itself. PokerGuru Ambassador Arjanveer Singh Chadha was the ‘Star of the Week’ for his blistering win in the ₹1.5 Crore GTD AOPS Mini ME Finale on June 13 that fetched him a career-best ₹30 Lakhs. Even though the more experienced Sumit Sapra gave him a tough challenge for the top spot on the weekly charts with an impressive 10 FT finishes and two title victories, he still fell short of Chadha`s tally by over a Million. Ayush Garg, who has been another trailblazer these last two days, rounds out the top three spots on the weekly leaderboard.
Reigning over the monthly rankings for the second week running is Sanat Mehrotra. The Gurgaon-based player hit another ₹16 Lakhs jackpot this week for his runner-up finish in the AOPS Mini ME Finale on Sunday. He is sitting with over ₹62 Lakhs in winnings with his profit meter reading ₹52.57 Lakhs for June. Chadha’s June winnings stand at ₹42.58 with a profit figure hovering around ₹29.37 Lakhs, placing his second on the monthly leaderboard.
Young Gun Gaurav Sood has retained his reign over the yearly rankings for the sixth consecutive week, with Anurag Srivastava and Srihari Bang holding on to the second and third spots, respectively.
