Even with PokerBaazi’s Baazi Turbo Series 3.0 and IndiaPlays’ rake-free The Dominator Series underway, the online MTT scene remained chiefly sedated throughout the week. However, March promises to be a firecracker with a flurry of big-ticket promotions like PokerBaazi`s ₹2 Crores GTD The MoneyMaker, 1000X Series, National Poker Series India 2023, and Spartan Poker`s Final Table Series 6.0, in the offing.
Young Gun Arsh Grover (annual winnings – ₹1.15 Crores, monthly winnings – ₹83.19 Lakhs) continued his reign in the monthly and yearly leaderboards, completing his second consecutive week at the top. With three breakout scores this year, the Delhi-based pro kept his scorecard ticking with a slew of FT finishes, extending his lead on both leaderboards.
The winningest player on our tracked database, Young Gun Gaurav Sood (annual winnings – ₹1.07 Crores), crossed ₹1 Crore in yearly earnings earlier this week and is already a top contender to win the POY title for a record-extending third time, ranked #2 in the annual standings.
India`s poker superstar Aditya Agarwal (annual winnings – ₹1.03 Crores, monthly winnings – ₹78.28 Lakhs) entered the POY race after winning the biggest-ever IOPC 14.0 The Crown at the start of the month. The poker pioneer has been more active in domestic tournaments, and the odd results have been enough to keep him at #3 in the POY rankings and #2 on the February charts.
Even without making any progress this week, Abhinav Iyer (monthly winnings – ₹59.18 Lakhs) hangs on to the #3 rank on the February leaderboard.
Prem Madderla (weekly winnings – ₹21.94 Lakhs), Young Gun Anmol Mehta (weekly winnings – ₹14.15 Lakhs), and Vishal Bajaj (weekly winnings – ₹13.64 Lakhs) topped the weekly rankings.
